I don't understand the three previous reviews as I have found this CG very friendly and fine for big rigs (49 ft.) When we checked in a man led us to our site and helped me unhook the car. He also helped me set up and I had to use his cart's battery to start my car. I asked if there was a mobile tech available. He then left us at the site and returned with a telephone number for a tech. He later returned to make sure we were being taken care of by the tech. We were in the new site where there are few trees and satellite was available. The site was not very level but we were able to level it. Verizon worked fine here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The roads in the park are sand/gravel and full of potholes/water. The trees need trimming. We rubbed against a number of tree limbs, both on the sides and the top. Some serious tree-trimming needs to be done. The mosquitos almost carried us away. Mostly seasonals. Sites very narrow for MHs. Verizon air card does not work very well at the CG...very weak signal. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were stunned at the quality of this campground ,and after 15 minutes we left and demanded a refund, which they gave us. This campground was not big rig friendly, at the site they gave us the picnic table was missing the center board (actually it was there sticking up between the other two), the site was a field of long grass that was indented into the ground. If I tried to open my slides, the bottom would have hit the ground (wall of indent). There were many old and run down buildings and trailers. The place was poorly maintained and we will never stay again. It is also very difficult to get to and is well off the main highway. We have stayed at Encore owned campgrounds before and found this not to be typical of an Encore facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We decided upon a last minute trip to the Dells and called 5 campgrounds before finding room at this one (this was last minute). Now we know why there was room (the campground was pretty empty on a weekend in the summer in the dells). They have very strict rules and the atmosphere reminded me of a concentration camp. Someone is sitting at the sign indicating that passes must be on vehicles strictly enforcing it (we are adults that can read). After reading the rules and regulations we were a bit taken, how many times can confiscated and prosecuted be written? I thought we would make it through fine by abiding by these stict silly rules (no bikes in the main areas?), but my husband got his butt chewed for wearing a t-shirt with his swim trunks in the pool (the rules sheet only said "no cut-offs". Then when on the hayride we noticed a staff telling a group of campers not to drink so much (we couldn't see any drinks in their hands!). Thankfully we spent more time at the Dells attractions than at the campground. The campground was quiet because no one was there. It would be a great facility under different management, the location and facilities are nice but we won't return. I wonder how many people ever do. I can understand rules and regulations but without such negative languange and camp soldiers walking enforcing rules, I'd rather camp elsewhere. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was a joke, first they didnt have our reservation listed and it was booked 2 mos in advance. We went to the office to check in and they ran out of money so we couldnt get change, they wanted to owe us money and we said no we would come back and pay. After we got settled in we went to pay and she charged us double, after being confused we explained that we were charged double in which she got into a yelling match with us; however, we encouraged her to count her till and found out we were right. Oh by the way the old guy by the stop sign he NEVER leaves!! ha... After our initial troubles the campground was enjoyable the sites are not the best but its camping!! Oh they do stricly enforce the quiet hour!! Good luck we wont be back there. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

The Camp was built in 1963 so the sites are small unless you are in a tent site. We stayed here while visiting the WI Dells and our site was adequate for its purpose. Although we were in the middle of town you couldn't tell it. We were surrounded by trees and it was pretty peaceful while we were there. We could walk across the street to Mt Olympus which saved us $5 in parking. We had a large fire ring and the whole campsite was covered with port-a-potties. Firewood was $5 a bundle. The owners were THE BEST! They work very hard to maintain the place and need to hear it once in a while. Everything at our site worked as it was supposed to and I would certainly go back. We went to Top Secret during our stay and it was a horrible ripoff. Don't waste your money. The Ducks are great and a good value for the money. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you are looking for a place to sleep while visiting the attractions at the Dells this is an adequate place. If you want to enjoy camping, don't bother. Complaints: The sites are very narrow. There are way too many scooters and golf carts wizzing around. There are few trees. A train wakes you up at least twice during the middle of the night. There are no shower curtains in the men's showers. Half the campground looks like a trailer park. Praise: The owners are friendly. The arcade is inexpensive. Close to many attractions. Quiet time was observed. Campfire pits are large. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Nice place to stop in and visit the Dells. Great location right near the army ducks, jet boat rides, Noah's Ark (the best), Mt. Olympus and much much more. We rode our bikes into downtown easier than driving a car. The campground was clean but a little tight on space. Some tight spaces to get in and out of with anything larger than 30 foot but some sites can accommodate a 40 footer. The management is very friendly. The dumpster was overfilled by the 4th of July and really stunk if you were near it. They bring wood around for a nightly fire $5 for 1 bundle $7 for 2 bundles. The showers cost 25 cents and while it's not a huge expense it is a pain to remember when you head to the shower, but on the good side there was always one available. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My husband likes this campground. I couldn't stand it. He liked it because we camped with a big group of people, and this place is definitely a good place to have a party. I hated it because I do not want a place to party when I am camping. Too loud for my taste, it was less a campground than a party village. No quiet time was enforced there, long after our group settled down, there was yelling, screaming, loud music and commotion until 2am. Located right on the main drag in the Dells, lots of dirt and nothing pretty about it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this campground. The owners were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The pool is large and exceptionally clean. This campground is within walking distance of many dells attractions, yet retains a "woodsy" feel. The playground is one of the best I've ever seen with dozens of things to do. Also, a great game room where nothing is more than 25 cents. Firewood was $3 a bundle or 2 for $5...3 for $7. It was a fun place with lots of fun people. Located right in the heart of the dells across the street from FamilyLand. We camped here in a camper.

Had to give campground a low score due to the problems we had checking in. The directions we were given were to a back gate with an unused office and a not working intercom system. After waiting several minutes at the intercom to get in the gate we called on our cell phone to the office. The office said they would send someone down to open the gate. A fellow came down and said to back up and drive around gate. We had to unhook the toad to back up. The gentleman then left without giving us directions to the office. This is a very big resort!!! We made it to the club house and called on the cell phone again to get directions to the office to check in. We were told there was a map on the wall that we could look at to get to the office. We finally made it to the office to check in. Somehow our reservation got mixed up-blamed on Coast to Coast-but they got us a site for 1 night. The office people are used to checking in guests that are staying in the condos, not campground people. The site we were given was eight inches off level to the driver's side and five inches off level to the rear. We got as level as possible and got settled in. Cable TV, water, electric and sewer were very well placed in site and worked well. Low water pressure, so OK without regulator. We went to use the pool area later in the evening and got towels from office and walked down the stairs only to find out that you need a room key to get into the area. Back upstairs to get dummy key to get in. Hot tub and pool area were very nice and clean. Lifeguard was able to convince people with children in hot tub that it was against the posted rules. We will probably stay here again but will use the main resort entrance and bring more blocks to level next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful campground! Although the some of the sites are narrow and some are on some steep hills, overall the park is nice. Our site had some trees too close to the camper so we couldn't use the awning. Slightly expensive rates; deposits are required in case you "damage" something. Our site driveway was paved, but not very level, so be prepared. Sites on bigger hills have a step down to picnic tables; and another step down to the fire ring. Ample activities for the kids in the pavilion. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is located at a corporate owned ski resort on a condo/cabin timeshare complex. There are 80 plus RV sites and 40 plus tent sites. Campground sites are available on a non-reservation basis. It’s heavily wooded with paved roads and RV sites. Access to RV pads is manageable even for big rigs. Tent sites are grass. Tents have their own separate, but nice, area in the complex. Water and voltage are good. The RV sites, which are spacious, have picnic tables, fire rigs, and grill. They are long enough for every size rig, but about half of them are sloped to some degree. The larger the RV, the more leveling required. Since reservations aren’t taken, you can occupy whatever is open. There are only four pull-thrus. Choose accordingly. The laundry, bathhouse, clubhouse, pools, and hot tubs serve the entire complex so expect to walk to one or the other. Wi-Fi is available at the registration building, but it is a pay-for-use system. There are 7 day/week multiple planned activities for adults and kids. Recreational facilities, mostly free, are too numerous to list here. A nice golf course and three restaurants are on site. The campground is not far from the tourist attractions in the Dells. Boredom is not an issue when staying here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a nice area with a good setup. They have tar pads. This is a very large area with campgrounds and villas. I think it is a time share. It is part of the Coast to Coast network. They have no cable or wifi available. Their showers were okay, but quite a walk from some sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are many trees with low hanging branches. It was hard to back into our site with the trees and narrow road. If the site opposite us had been occupied, we never would have gotten in. There was no room to park the car with the motorhome. This would be a nice place for someone with a smaller trailer, but I don't recommend it for 5th wheels or motorhomes due to the trees hitting the roof and the sides. The laundry room needed cleaning. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while vacationing in the Dells. We did not experience any issue with caterpillars falling from trees, although we did have some flying ants crawling from their nest in the ground. The owner was called and promptly took care of the ants and we had no further problem. The showers were very clean and the campground was clean. The pool looked a little older, but was clean. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Campground was located a few miles outside of town. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I liked this campground. The roads were tight..and hilly. My neighbor complained that he couldn't get his class A level, but I had no problem leveling my trailer. The pool was pristine, and the restrooms were clean, as were the showers. The only inconvenience with the showers is you can't adjust the water temp...Ohhh, it was hot enough, LOL! You had to push a button to get the water to come on, and it shuts off after a few seconds. That was a little annoying, but we didn't have a problem dealing with it. The campground has some seasonal campers that look like they've been there too long, but I liked the trees and the rustic atmosphere of the place. It was quiet at night. I found this campground very relaxing after hooping it up at Mt. Olympus all day. We spent 3 Nights here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is my new favorite campground. The staff was great. It is very clean. There is a ton of stuff to do. The value is great, you get access to a water park everyday of your stay. We stayed in a pull-through site on the back side with full hookups and we had friends that stayed in down by the pool with no sewer but had a "honey wagon" come by for $6.00 a day. I would stay in either site. The beach was a lot of fun. We rented a Pontoon and had a blast. It does get tight if you do not have access to the rear entrance, but not impossible to get through at all. There are not more extra charges here than other places. If anyone has a problem at this campground, its them not the staff IMO. The store has a bit of everything including very good ice cream and homemade donuts for a very reasonable price. I will be back again, this summer hopefully. Also the campground was full and still all the bathrooms and other facilities where very clean. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We spent an excellent week here. This campground has everything: a great beach with floatable play things, several playgrounds, a great pool area, game room, boat rentals. You name it, it's here. We will definitely go back again soon. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very nice park with many activities for kids and adults alike. We stayed in one of the pull through sites which are located essentially on top of a hill. No view of the river, but it was a very nice site nevertheless. If you have a long rig (our TT is 33') inquire about their rear entrance as this will save you some stress. Staff was very friendly. Sites were very clean and very roomy. We will absolutely stay here again. Campground is just minutes from all of the other Dell's activities if those are of interest to you. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The past reviews for the management staff is spot on. To start, I called the resort for reservations in February to ensure I got a site with sewer for the 4th of July holiday weekend. I was given site 33. Never having been at this resort before I just assumed I was getting what I requested. Well, turned out it was just a water/electric site. I immediately called the office and basically was told that it doesn't say on the reciept that that is what we reserved so we were stuck. Well, it didn't say we reserved what we got stuck with either. Ok fine, they have a honey wagon, 6 bucks a day. I'll let that slide. We scheduled the honey wagon on Thursday and Saturday. Thursday was uneventful tanks were empty no problem. On Saturday we went into town for breakfast and when we came back I checked the tanks to find my grey empty but my black 2/3 full I told the desk and they said they would let the guy know and have him pump it out again. We again left the campsite only to return later to find our black tank still full. We called the office again and was basically told too bad. She then proceeded to threaten to call the sheriff and hung up on my husband while he was in mid sentence. Later that afternoon the honey wagon guy shows up at our campsite and in addition to seeming to appear to be half in the bag, he commences to insist he pumped us out and it was empty and that our level gage was stuck. They just don't care about customer satisfaction just about that all mighty dollar. We camped here in a Motorhome.

1st time campers here June '09. Had a great time. Staff were very friendly and personable. Tons of things to do and only 10 minutes from downtown Dells area. Considering a seasonal site for next year if available. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Big campground, kid friendly, semi close to town, lots of activities. We stayed in a newer part of the campground (site 114) and there was very little shade, very small trees. Sites were good size and pull thru. We had many family members there from all over U.S. and needed camp sites, cabins, and hotel rooms. This was one of the very few in the Dells that offered all this. Great playground and swimming pool. Good game room. Interesting walk up outdoor theater. Fishing pond needs some attention as it was more of a breading ground for mosquitoes than a fishing pond, needs attention. Trash cans at each site. This campground gave me the feeling of a retirement village with many campers being year round with porches, etc. If you are looking for a quiet campground, this is not the place for you. Lots of golf carts running around. I think if you want a waterfront river site, it may be next to impossible. I would have rated the campground higher, but I prefer my campgrounds a little less crowded. At full capacity, we were told they can jam in 5000 campers. Find that a little hard to believe, but it is a big campground, a little to big for me. They sell show tickets at the front desk for a slight discount, but bring cash as they do not accept credit cards for show tickets. Hmmm...what is up with that? We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We like this campground and have stayed here several times. Level wooded sites with paved roads. The sites along the river have a good view. Able to rent boats right at the campground. The showers and restrooms are kept clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here while vacationing in the Dells. We stayed Saturday through Tuesday and it really cleared out after Monday. Over the weekend, the park is full. The pool area is very nice. We had a site that backed up to the river and it was very nice. The fire pit is separate from the campsite, it is closer to the Wisconsin River, behind your campsite. I liked this layout very much. We stayed on site #4 and found it to be a site that we would request again. This campground also has boat rentals and a marina on site. The bathrooms were nice. I noticed them being cleaned often. We will definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Camp sites were OK but not well maintained. Some trash around the site. Shared electrical boxes. Our box had only a 30A and a 20A. If the other spot had taken the 30A outlet then that would have only left the 20A which would not be enough for AC. We got limited WiFi coverage even tho we were close to the office. I tried several places around the park and coverage was no better. Don't depend on WiFi coverage if that's an issue. Water has a very hard mineral taste. Campground hosts were friendly but not attentive to complaints and what we feel was outright lying. Owner's brother and several others stay at the campgrounds in a run down Class C a few sites from the office. (Reminded me of Cousin Eddie in "Vacation".) They turn their radio on at about 10AM every day, place the speaker so it's blaring out a window, and leave it on all day, even when no one is at the campsite and often past 10PM. The radio can be heard 10-15 sites away. We complained to the owner, before we knew it was his brother, and he acted dumb like he didn't know there was a problem and said he didn't know who the person was. Owner said he would talk to security. That night at 10:45 PM, no one was in the campsite and radio still blaring, I talked to security who said the owner had not mentioned any problem. Security said he was just by the site to tell them to turn down the radio but no one was at the site. While talking to security the brother came out of the owner's place and admitted he had left the radio on but didn't think it was a problem. He then turned it down but during the next few days it would be blaring again all day long. Owner still refused to handle the complaint. We will not stay here again due to the lack of customer service and in effect being lied to by the owners. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is very pretty, tons of trees and bushes, very natural. The sites are a little close together, but not bad really. There's plenty of room to park your tow vehicle and also a picnic table and fire ring, and we didn't feel like we were right on top of someone. We stayed in site 199 and it's at the very back of the park, uphill. The turns and roads are pretty tight, but we made them fine as did the large motorhome that pulled in in front of us. The people are super friendly and nice and the playgrounds seem well kept. I saw a lot of tenters, some with more than 1 tent per site and more people than seemed good, but for the most part it seems very nice. There is a walkway from the upper part of the park to the Dells, it's very near one of the fun type parks, so that makes it very convenient. I will definitely stay here again, and I really like that we can have a campfire at our site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very close to downtown. The staff was very friendly and the campground was very clean. Navigating through the campground towing a travel trailer or in a motor home can be a challenge. The sites were a little small but overall not to bad. We will stay there again if in the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground has a lot of large mature trees and had great shade. The showers were clean and hot. The campground is within walking/biking distance to downtown and other activities. It was a very nice store and everything was clean and neat. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed here for free during opening "cleanup" weekend. Being our 2nd time there, we knew what to expect but were still impressed with Sherwood Forest. To me, the campground staff can make or break a stay and they were great! Everyone we dealt with was very friendly & helpful. It's just an overall great park, our kids love the playgrounds, good size sites, nice layout, just a thumbs up all-around. It has a very welcoming, comfortable feel to it & that's the kind of place I like to come back to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The family truly enjoyed this campground. The campground staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we first arrived they had us in the lower part of the campground but we wanted to be up the hill so it was an easier walk for our younger kids to Downtown Wisconsin Dells. The guy working helped us out with moving to the perfect spot on the top part of the hill which we were very grateful. They have many things for the kids to enjoy including 2 playgrounds, game room and a pool. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. Our only complaint was the showers went from very hot to icy cold way too many times during a 5 minute shower. The day we left they shutdown the showers and were working on the water heater, hopefully to fix the problem. We will camp here again next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just bought a new tent and wanted to test it out, we had site #3 it was near the road but we really enjoyed it, it wasn't very noisy at all. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, the only bad thing was there was a couple smoking next to the pool and as I came up from the bottom, I had a wet cigarette almost go into my mouth. Otherwise I've already suggested this campground to many relatives and also had my fiances parents stop up and take a look at the grounds. We plan on going up together within the next month or so. We camped here in a Tent.

This was our second visit to Sherwood Forest. The location is what brings us back, and also the friendly staff. The sites are reasonably spaced, the playground is huge and well equipped. Our sewer hookup ran up-hill, as did the neighbor's. Secluded area in back of campground with porta-potties. Older campground, kept reasonably clean. Bathrooms could use renovating and more care, but it is a very busy campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Pool was not the best! The kiddie pool had major cracks in it, not very safe! The place just looked run down and not very inviting. We stayed there in July of '03. No need to go back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is great for families and is within walking distance of the downtown area and other attractions. My only complaint is we were camped next to a group of younger people who were shooting off fireworks and partying until 3 am. When complaints were lodged with the owners nothing was done to stop this activity dispite the fact that rules against this type of behavior are listed all over the campground. We camped here in a Tent.

We actually live in the Wisconsin Dells area, so I spent some time driving around and 'checking out,' each of the area campgrounds before choosing one to spend the weekend at. This one was the nicest for the rate. The lots are nice and shaded, many of them with woods at the back of the lot. The showers were hot and the bathrooms clean. As a matter of fact each time I went into the restrooms there was an employee cleaning or restocking something in there. The heated pool is very nice and clean also. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If we needed anything they got it for us in a remarkably short amount of time. The campground is also within walking distance of many of the Dells attractions. We would definitely stay here again, actually we will probably stay here several more times this season! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Sometimes you get what you pay for in a campground. This is not the cheapest place in the Dells, but it is the best. The owners take care of their business. They plant flowers, keep things painted and clean, have guards at night to keep out troublemakers and enforce quiet hours, plan activities and definitely know how to properly run and maintain a great campground. There are 2 playgrounds and a nice pool, clean and relatively new bath houses, 2 ponds, nice sites, paved roads and a store with a restaurant/bar/game room in the back. it's close enough to the Dells to run and have fun, and far enough away that you don't have to be in the middle of the chaos. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The lower loop of this campground is very lovely with big shade trees. Tiled restrooms-very clean and nice. Pool was closed for season. Virtually no one else camping here in October. Farm equipment noise from harvesting next door. This is my favorite campground in the Dells that we have found so far, and the price is reasonable compared to others. And they were able to accommodate big rigs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend, arriving Wednesday night. Management was flexible about our later arrival & left paperwork outside. We stayed on a full hook-up, site 32. The sites in this section are a bunch roomier than the ones towards the front of the park. Site was old gravel, but mostly level. The map on the website is very skewed. We have 2 border collies & they had plenty of room on our site & the place is very dog friendly. Although Wi-Fi was only supposed to be in the office, I was able to get it at my site until everyone else got there on Friday night. The pool was nice on Thursday morning, but didn't revisit. The bathrooms were very clean & new. I only looked at the showers, but they also were clean & new. TV wise, we got a couple of stations. Don't know if they have security guards year round, but they did for that weekend. No one was disruptive that I heard. There are a lot of seasonals & they were very friendly. We didn't use the dump station, but it looks easy to maneuver. Water pressure was OK. We walked our dogs around the park & the ponds within the grounds, but missed going on the trails that others said were awesome. Enjoyed the park & will come back next year. Would have been a 10 if Wi-Fi could be offered. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There's nothing but good things that I can say about this campground. It's truly a 10 out of 10. Quiet, clean, well maintained. Showers/restrooms are beautiful and clean. Our site was so level we didn't even need leveling blocks. There's a large, clean pool, restaurant, large putt-putt course, and volleyball court. It's only about 5 minutes from the Dells attractions. The owner gave us free discount cards and coupons. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the dells. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for 16 nights while visiting the Wisconsin Dells. The campground is well maintained and has very nice facilities. The main bathhouse is reasonably new and is meticulously cleaned ... one of the cleanest campground restrooms I have ever visited. The staff at the campground was very friendly and answered any questions we had about the local area. Sites are large and well laid out. I believe that full hook-up sites 36, 37, 39, 41, and 43 are the nicest in the campground due to their large size and the fact that they do not back up to other sites making them relatively quiet. The sites near the front of the campground that circle the mini-golf are nice size but are nosier due to their closeness to the main road. All in all this is one of the nicest campgrounds I have ever stayed at and I would definitely choose this campground again when staying in the Wisconsin Dells. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Site that we had was a full hookup and large that was gravel and level. Even with rain we had that night it drained fairly well. Being at the end of camping season the store still had good supply. We did not use the pool but it was clean and good size. In the morning their was free coffee for the campers which was nice. The campground was about 5 minutes away from all attractions. Getting to the campground was easy but did have a railroad track that was rough. We had no problem getting into the site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great campground near I-90-94, with lots of trees, level gravel sites, grass, picnic table and fire pit at site. Many family attractions in area. Campground has pools, mini-golf, nature trails, playground, cocktail lounge and restaurant. Good satellite reception from our site (111), and free Wi-Fi is only avail near office complex. Good Verizon air card reception, but zero from Sprint. Bathrooms and showers new and very clean. I would have rated this campground a 9 or 10, but the train whistles during the night prevented that. Since I was aware of the trains, I took steps to prevent my hearing them. We would come again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here during Wo-Zha-Wa and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and the campsites are the largest we've ever seen. The restrooms are new and immaculate and the showers are free, clean and hot! Campground is quiet and well cared for. We will definitely stay again. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Overall a good place to come. Lots of trees but beware of the low tree branches in fall. Be prepared, most sewer connections are higher than your sewer outlet. Slight interstate noise, the loud trains do not obey the "quiet times". Close to everything you want to do in Wis Dells. Grounds are well groomed. The owners are a bit gruff, not very personable. The seasonals are very well maintained and in a seperate area from most of the vacation spots. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed here several times, and each time we have more respect and admiration for the management. This campground is extremely well maintained and staffed by family with a dedication to keeping the standards high. There is a small but extremely well stocked store, videos and vhs rentals are available, with a book exchange area and free wi-fi in the dining area (no wi-fi at campsites.) Free coffee is available every morning at 8, along with pastries for purchase. A bar is open for beer and mixed drinks or wine coolers daily until around 9pm. There's a kind of bare and unimaginative, but adequate, 18 hole miniature golf course, and the swimming pool is huge with a large tabled deck far enough away to avoid being splashed. There are wonderful fish fry's on Friday nights, along with full camp cook-out activities on holidays into the fall. There is foot patrol security at night, with closed gates after midnight-no motor traffic. There are a lot of seasonal residents, but plenty of sites for travelers. This is a very child/family friendly campground, but the need for peace and quite is respected and honored. Being only 2-1/2 miles from the Wisconsin Dells proper, you are right near the action, but far away from crowds and noise. I would have given them a 10, except for the lack of wi-fi through-out the camp. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Just got home from a week long stay. The weather in Wisconsin has caused flooding in some areas of the state. Lake Delton was drained. The campground is dry, but did have some storm damage to some of the pines on the hill from either a tornado or straight line winds. The logging trucks are cleaning up. This was fun to watch how the big rigs take down the trees. There was some sawing during the day, but not anything excessive. Unless you are a day time sleeper, this should not be a concern and they will probably be done in a couple of weeks. Not unique to this campground are the mosquitos in Wisconsin this year. Bring plenty of bug spray. I used Cutter's Deep Woods with 40% deet and did not get one bite. The 7% deet will not keep them away. I sat outside most of the day and until 10 PM. We have two more weeks schedule to camp here this summer. It has been our nearby campground of choice for over 25 years. We come with friends and family. We respect the owners and the quietness of this campground. It is as safe as they can make it. It is other campers that contribute to the problems, not the staff and owners. Very nice and clean campground. Very quiet and safe. Security guard came around at 1:30 am to warn us of a very bad storm coming in with 70 mph winds and heavy rain. Storm never came, but felt safe that someone notified us so we could secure all outside items. Bathrooms are very clean and pool was enjoyed by the children. Not a over friendly crowd, but everyone was nice when they saw you. Owners are quiet and do not bother you at all. Bought wood and they were friendly. Would stay again if we are in the Dells. Great park without all the craziness of Wisconsin Dells. A short distance away from all the fun makes this place more quiet and it has less loud entertainment of other campgrounds in Wisconsin Dells. The pool was nice and the soft serve Ice cream is amazing (very affordable might I add.) This park is great for being so close to the Dells and keeping the area quiet. The showers are all separate stalls which are nice. The bathrooms are new and are always being cleaned whenever you look. Would camp here again next time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our family stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly appreciated the quietness of this campground, the paved roads and extremely clean showers and restrooms. The management staff was not rude to us, not the most talkative bunch, but remained polite and professional. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely pick Stand Rock again. I have been camping at Stand Rock for 20+ years. I really do not understand what the comments about the rude staff. I have never encountered this or seen it. What I have encountered and seen are some very rude campers, at checkin, at the pool and aound the campground. It is not the staff's job to control camper's children. It is not the staff's responsibility to put up with rude, sarcastic remarks from campers. If it is a party time campground, that you want, there are many in the area. They do not have a concierge staff, and may not be able to give you information on the: "best place to eat," "the best water park," "what attractions to visit," etc. The Wisconsin Dells has become an Internationally known tourist area because of it's water parks. As in any tourist area, one must do their own research to make your own decisions about where to eat and what to do. I am especially perplexed about the price gouging comment. The only thing I have paid extra for: is extra campers or visitors, and wood. I personally appreciate the extra charge for visitors and campers. I resent those that want to use a site for more than one unit or invite extras to visit and use the facilities. I have camped on sites throughout the US and have seen sites meant for one camper housing 2, 3, 4, and even 5 tents and vehicles, at no extra charge: ripping off the owners! Those of you that have left negative comments without specifics, may need to look at you role in the treatment you may have received. If you treat with respect, you will get respect. This is a very rustic campground, a lot of trees which is nice. That said I have to say when we checked in august 2006 we were greeted by a yelling manager she was telling the people in line to shut up. When it was our turn to check in she was very rude. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but the 5 days that we were there the people that work there were just plain mean. We would never come back here again. We should of listened to the reviews. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We have been camping at Stand Rock for 20 years. We camp for long weekends and weeks throughout the summer and fall. This is a very quiet, strictly enforced, campground. While I have read comments on the staff being rude, I have never found this to be true. Granted, they leave you alone once you have checked in. This is a family owned and run campground. They do not hire teens or others to run it for them. I have felt safe enough to camp here with my children and later my grandchildren, while my husband was at work. he gates close a midnight and at least one or two security guards are on duty throughout the night. New this year - bathrooms and individual showers. A needed and appreciated upgrade. The park and pool is clean and well maintained. The sites are large, the largest of any other campgrounds in the area. Most have shade. As for recreational facilities, there is a pool, an outdated miniature golf, a playground for the 6 year olds and under, a very limited game room, store, bar and restaurant. Our family comes to enjoy the pool and an attraction or two at the Dells and eating in restaurants. The Dells has some wonderful attractions and some not so great. Something for everyone. I think if you treat the staff with respect, it will be returned. If you treat their campground with respect, you will enjoy your stay. It is not a party place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were pleasantly surprised after reading the other posts,this campground was great! The sites were very big,everything was clean,everything worked,it was a nice quiet place to bring the family and enjoy the Dells. As far as the staff being rude,all I can offer is this,we were there on fourth of July weekend probably one of the busiest weekends for a campground,we asked questions,got answers and were treated with respect!The security was present and on foot patrol every evening and I can only assume that "Quiet" hours were enforced.We witnessed no loud obnoxious campers.Quiet family atmosphere. What we saw was a staff that was just too busy to carry on with idle chit-chat.This was a long review as I am trying to dispel the bad vibe this place got from the previous.We live in Illinois and visit the Dells annually,after this visit Stand Rock will see us next year for sure. Very nice & quiet campground. The site was too narrow (fire ring too close to light)! Showers were modern & clean except for one that needed a serious cleaning because of a disgusting vandal. Wooded sites available (oak trees mostly). Grass campsites were loaded with earwigs. Not much to do but relax or go to the Dells... We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

#1 camp ground facilities, very beautiful surroundings. We liked what we saw when we pulled in. Maybe check in for a week as it had nice grass areas, the pool looked nice, shade trees. All seemed lovely, until we walked in to book a site. Got very bad vibes from the two young girls working in the office, not friendly. Lovee the overall campsite atmosphere, but the people working here were not friendly. So we did not book a site. We expect to be greated by friendly people. Even if the two workers both had a bad day, we would like a smile, and kindness, and be here to make the customer happy. I am glad I came to this web site. I thought it was so right with all the bad reviews on the service people. Now I know I was right about that. I always talk to people in my business. No matter how bad you feel that day, tell them if you want, but always try to smile, or at least be friendly to them. A 'Better than THOU' attitude will not help your business. We had a very pleasent long weekend here. Our two 11 year olds had a great time at the pool. The campsites were very clean and large with lots of shade. Hook-ups were close and in fine condition. We were nestled in among some seasonals and I was pleased with the pride and care that was evident with all of the seasonal sites. The showers were very clean as was the pool area. Security checked for passes at the gate late in the evening and a secutity guard made a pass on foot aroud the grounds a 8 each evening. We did not notice any rude behavior from the staff/management as described in previous posts. Check-in was quick and painless and the young lady was very curteous and friendly. I think the rude staff is a thing of the past. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a nice campground to stay at if visiting the Dells, it is away from all the noise downtown but close enough to get there in a few minutes. Pretty quiet and peaceful. Most sites are shaded and some are very large. Pool was clean and decent sized. Bathrooms were clean, I've seen better and worse but they were acceptable. The only down side we experienced were the owners and staff. We felt they were somewhat rude when asked questions about the Dells and/or had other needs. But it was bearable and didn't detract from our vacation; they weren't terrible people though they could improve in their hospitality. We'd return. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This was a nice campground about 5 minutes outside of the Dells. The sites are well shaded and big. Very quiet at night. Noticed about 8 at night a security guy walking around checking to make sure all was okay. The owners were very nice and helpful. Want to stay at a campground not in the hustle and bustle of the Dells this was a good one. Yes there are some railroad tracks close by, but the trains going on them were not that bad. The restrooms were kept clean, the pool is good size. It also had a kiddie pool. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just got back from a terrible 3 day weekend. Right from check in, red haired girl at counter was very unfriendly, did'nt feel welcome at all. Witnessed 2 events with owner telling people "if you don't like it leave". They are celebrating 25 years in business this year, maybe 5 years too long for them. Don't think they will make it another 5 with their attitudes. Would not recommend going there with so many excellent campgrounds available in the area. We positively will never return. We hated this place. The employees/owners went out of their way to be rude. Gangs of young teens run wild and pick on smaller kids. The playground is poor at best. They price gouge you on everything. We will never go back. We camped here in a camper.

Great campground very close to Wisconsin Dells attraction. It is approximately four miles from the strip and downtown. Quiet location but you could hear some train noise. They have lots of different types of sites. The water and electric sites were huge, level and nicely shaded. The bathrooms were clean but older style. Nice paved roads throughout the campground. Nice catch and release private fishing lakes within the campground. We camped here in a camper.

Very nice KOA in the Dells. Right off the main strip of action. It had a pool and splash pad area for the kids and nightly movie for the kids as well. Staff was very helpful in regard to issues at the campground as well as local Dells attractions. Also had nightly security - who did a good job of keeping order and making campers feel safe. Yes there are trains nearby - but they don't come that often. We'll be returning here for sure. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park is located conveniently close to all the action but is quiet since it is a mile or so off the highway. Staff is very friendly and check-in was quick with an escort to our site. (Did have to unhook our tow before pulling the coach in). Bike rentals, basketball court, playground and pool were all hits with the kids, but the splash pad was the big highlight for them. Definitely a great choice for family friendly fun. Stayed here for 3 nights and no one ever ran out of something to do. Kids rode their own bikes near our site with no problems. Not the most "big rig" friendly park we've ever been to but extra amenities made up for it. Camp store stocked. Bathrooms were clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We haven't been here for a couple years now, but we did get back here for one night. This park is exceptional and very well kept. The owners are the most friendly down to earth people. They keep this campground very neat and are always doing something to improve things. They also have a nice gift shop too. Anyways we love this place and will be going back in the end of May for a few nights. Great place to stay when in the Dells. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our first time here in 4 years. The last time we stayed here after Labor Day and did not have to pay the normal high in-season rate. This time we received a "bogo" offer over the internet and stayed two nights for the price of one the week before Labor Day. In addition to this reasonable rate, the park was only about 20% full which makes for a more enjoyable stay. As others have noted, the park has good facilities and amenities. We stayed in the upper level in a FHU, pull-thru with 25 channel cable TV and free WIFI. I don't think there are more than a handfull of sites which would be satellite friendly. Unlike a previous reviewer, I find the walk to town "doable" for folks in relatively decent physical condition (together we are over 140 years old and did the walk both days.). The pool is small and heated with an adjacent, small sprinkler park. We managed to enjoy both. There is also a playground, B-ball hoop, and volleyball court. Once again, expensive in-season, but a nice park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this park, which is a short 2 minutes from the Dells but away from the busy main streets as well. Don't pick this park if you want to walk to any of the Dells attractions. The park is unique in that it is tiered up the side of a hill. There are a lot of trees so most sites have shade, but a few are open. A variety of utility configurations are available including full hookups with cable. Sites are nicely maintained and have a reasonable amount of space. My only complaint about the sites is a lack of consistency between two adjacent sites of the same category. In other words, our full hookup back-in site has a dirt (not even gravel) patio area, while the same category full hook-up right next to us had a concrete pad. It was not a problem because of good weather. But if it had rained, it would have been a mess. Frankly, I expect concrete, or at least rock, patios for $50 per night. The pool and splash pad area was well maintained and a nice atmosphere. The store, game room, laundry, etc., were all nicely maintained. The restrooms were very nice. They were typical of a casual restroom in terms of construction and cleanliness. The showers were individual rooms separate from the restrooms. The showers were a little dirty but we were not the first shower of the day. All in all, this was a very nice campground and we would return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice and easy check in and the guide to our site was excellent on giving backin instructions. You do need to watch out for the kids on the bikes. Some parents think that a motorhome can stop on a dime. They do a good job of keeping the park as clean as possible. Wi-Fi worked well. The sites are somewhat compact and sewer connections are not air tight and might wind up under your slide outs. I won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are somewhat small but very well laid out and the staff is terrific. They put us directly across the road from the pool/splash deck and the kids loved it. The park is very well run and exceptionally clean. The playground is nice for small kids and we enjoyed the nightly movie at the pavilion. There are two nice attractions right down the road and the campsite is quite close to downtown. Also, we were very impressed by the store hours (8am to 10pm daily) and the pool hours (10am to 9pm daily). Store is quite small, but carries the basics. Also has an arcade and 24 hour laundry with great dryers. This place is very well kept. We would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in this area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful campground at a reasonable price with close proximity to all the Dells has to offer. We stayed in a pull through site right across from the office and pool area. Restrooms/showers extremely clean as the resort had lots of staff. I would give this campground a 10 except that right across the secondary road leading into the KOA is a busy rail line. It was a little annoying but again we visited Wisconsin Dells for the attractions in town, not at the KOA. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a great campground. Friendly helpful staff. Took us to our site upon arrival. They delivered our firewood to our site instead of us having to haul it back ourselves. Very clean, all around. They constantly picked up garbage. The sites are not very wide but very well kept. We stayed in the back circle number 86, we could hear the trains but not a big deal. Concrete patio and really nice fire rings. Wi-Fi worked well along with 24 cable channels. This is definitely a well run campground. They take pride in the place. I would definitely stay here every time we camp in the Dells. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Wonderful site! My daughter simply loved the pool for the extra water spray features. The location of the campground was in a central location to all the local sites. The grounds were well maintain and the staff was very helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was our second stay here in the last year. It is conveniently located yet just far enough out of town. The campground is extremely well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Our kids enjoyed the pool and water features. The only reason I did not give the park a 10 was the sites are rather tightly spaced. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The campground is very clean. The hosts were friendly. We had a very long pull-through site near the office. The pool was closed, but looks really nice. My children enjoyed the playground. The showers were very clean, as were the bathrooms. There are trains nearby, but they were not loud. They charge 80 cents per child, which is very fair, unlike the ones that charge $5 per child. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A terrific campground. We camped here for 9 nights. The folks here very kind and friendly. Sites level and average in size. These people take pride in their campground as all day long, trash is constantly being picked up. We saw a KOA employee stop his golf cart in front of a vacant site, walk over and pick up a chewing gum wrapper, then resume his trip. Fire pits are swept clean usually with 30 minutes of a site being vacated. A single track train line does run parallel to the campground across the road, but the train noise didn't seem to bother anyone. (Note to rail fans: ask for a site next to the road if you want to be closest to the trains.) The pool is heated and very nice. We did not do any activities here as we spent our time in town. The campground is only 1 minute from the main road but is in the woods so you really do not feel like your camping near civilization. Best KOA we've visited in 7 years. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very close to downtown Dells. Very clean and organized nice place to stay. Camp sites were close together but the friendly staff made our stay worth while We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This was a very nice campground. Sites were level and not overly small. Staff was friendly, escorted us to our site and helped us back in. Quiet hours were enforced, and I know this because we were told to quiet down--rightfully so. Pool area was nice for the kids and not overcrowded. Stayed here for 7 nights, including over Memorial Day. Campground was completely full over holiday, and nearly empty the last several days of our stay. The staff was outstanding - went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. Was a family friendly campground, and as others have noted very close to the Dells attractions. Was disappointed at arrival, as we had made reservations 6 mos in advance and clearly noted we had a triple slide-out motorhome. Original site we were given had triple slides on both sides of us, and there was no way we were going to fit; one slide would have been over neighbor's picnic table and the other side over neighbor's sewer connection. They had 2 sites left, and the one we chose was much larger. Wish they had done this from the beginning, especially as we noted we had triple slides and were staying a week. Showers and restrooms were very clean, although had trouble keeping up with hot water over holiday weekend. Pool and playground also well kept. Slightly disappointed as this KOA had the fewest "family" activities I've ever seen at a KOA, particularly over a holiday weekend - only activity was a nightly movie; I guess they assumed everyone was there just for the Dells attractions. Great discount coupons to things given to campers from the KOA, saved us a great deal of money. Others have mentioned trains, but they aren't really very noticeable - a few nights is was cool enough to have A/C off and have windows open, and the trains didn't bother us. Overall a great campground. Only disappointment was original campsite we were slated for. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a super clean and beautiful campground. Had immaculate grounds! The staff is very friendly and one particular couple will make your stay the best. People may notice the train that runs adjacent to the campground, it can be heard usually. There is no whistle or crossings near, so that is not an issue. Once inside the motorhome, we never heard it. Will definitely be back! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've been campers for five years. We are a typical family of four. We stayed here for six days. This is the cleanest campground that we've seen to date. The campsite to restroom and showers ratio was excellent: three buildings for 129 sites. The buildings are brand new and designed with separate stalls for privacy. Even when the campground is full there was never a wait to use the facilities, not to mention they were kept very clean. The campground is located 1 mile from downtown Dells but you feel like your 10 miles away: surrounded with lots of trees. The staff is very friendly and always cleaning and checking on campers needs. When we arrived the registration was fast and efficient. We were escorted to our site and a staff member assisted with placing our RV into position. Then we requested three bundles of wood, it was delivered to our site by the fire ring in less than ten minutes. The grounds are very quiet with the exception of a train track across the street, which averages 5 to 7 freight trains day and night. It didn't bother us but it could be a problem for others. A perfect family campground to stay at if you plan on visiting the Wisconsin Dells. I would give this campground a ten if not for the trains. If you like full service than this campground should be considered at the top of anybody's list. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

I really enjoyed the one night I spent at this campground. The grounds and facilities were spotless and the staff was very friendly. The pool was clean with plenty of chairs and places to sit and it included a splash area for the kids. The facility really catered to families and encouraged everyone to get involved with the activities in the evenings, such as the outdoor movie or ice cream social. The sites were generally level and well spaced from your neighbors. Each site included a fire pit that was situated a decent space from your trailer door. The only negative aspect to the facility was the close proximity to a railroad track. Trains occasionally passed through and when they did, it would shake the walls of my trailer. Other than the occasional train, the campground was usually quiet and away from highway noises. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice campground and the owners and staff really care about the campgrounds and the campers. As mentioned in other posts the staff is always around cleaning, trimming, picking up the garbage, doing whatever to keep the campground looking clean and fresh. Upon arrival the campground did look a little tight for a 35 foot motorhome towing with a tow dolly, but we were pleasantly surprised. The site we were on was clean with plenty of room for the slides. The kids loved the heated pool and the bathrooms were immaculate. The camp ground is a perfect location from the entertainment part of the Dells. Also as mentioned in previous post, there are train tracks across the street from the entrance to the campground. You can hear the train but how much it bothers you would be up to the individual, we’re from Chicago so the train is natural background noise to us. Train or no train, this is a very nice campground that’s in a perfect location for seeing the Dells and we will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Overall, a great campsite. The staff were ALWAYS out and about asking if there was anything you needed, picking up bags of trash from sites, telling you about the evening's activities, etc... The pool was kept incredibly clean and the playground was well-kept as well. There were little 3-wheel and 4-wheel pedal pikes available for kids to use, although they had to be rented for $4 per half hour. They also had free bratwurst on Saturday night that were obviously a promotion offered by the manufacturer because you got coupons with them as well. Not sure if this is an ongoing thing or not, but it was a nice added unexpected touch. The only negative is one that really isn't controllable by the site, which is the train tracks that run across the road. If you're up on the hill on the left side, then it will be particularly noticeable that there's probably a loose railroad rail or tie that makes a really loud noise every time a car goes over it. That means that although the train would typically get softer after the engine goes past, there is an ongoing thumping until the entire train passes. This is not as noticeable from the spots on the right end of the campground (if looking at the office). Regardless of that, I would use this campsite again, but make sure I asked for a spot as far away from the tracks as possible. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I rated this campground an 9 but most people would rate it a 10. This is such a great campground and they have made numerous improvements that are noticeable. I am going to be nit picky in my review. First, the positives. The lady who took my reservation when we called to book for the 4th of July weekend was great. Well guess what, she was also the one to check us in when we arrived, another great experience. We were escorted to our level, back-in, full hook-up site with a concrete patio, much better than I expected. The campground was packed as you would expect for the 4th of July, but I saw security walking the park at night and asking people to keep the noise at their site. My only really negative is I felt the grass could have been mowed and manicured better in the sites. Overall we loved this campground and plan on returning soon. We just moved to Wisconsin and am glad to find this place. The owners work hard but could be a bit friendlier. I guess they let their staff take care of that piece because the staff was friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Would have been a 10, but for the train. There are train tracks that run across the road from the campground and there a several a day and they are long trains that make noise and shake the ground. Otherwise, it was nice place. Sites are wide have a paved patio. Nice picnic table lots of trees. Nice pool. Nice WiFi that is free. Also, cable TV. The campground is about 3/4 of mile from downtown. We walked it. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love this campground. It is clean, quiet, and friendly. We live 1 1/2 hours away it is a pleasure to drive here. Our cats like it although one is freaked out every time a train goes by. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in May 2009 a week before Memorial Day. The owners and summer help keep this place immaculate. They are very busy helping us who come in bringing us to our site and working around the campground all day. We can't say a negative thing about this place and we will definitely come back. The site we had was big and up on the hill. Wi fi worked great. Nice and quiet too. It's the people who work so hard to keep this place beautiful that makes you want to go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I've tried reviewing sooner, but it never seems to let me on the weekends. I believe I paid about 50 for one night. I only hooked up to a 20 amp plug as I was in a van with a small window air unit and lcd tv and no big power load. The previous night we stayed somewhere with no hookups and ran the honda all night. What I did like here was they gave me a full hook up site prorated for a water electric site and it was the second site from the shower restrooms which were unisex and that made it very ideal for us. Great for wheelchair users. On the downside they could have made the facility twice as big for the number of people that could be trying to use it. There was still at least another dozen spaces that were open on the labor day weekend. I would stay here again as it is cheaper than hotels in the area. On train subject yes you could hear it through out the night but if your used to it you don't notice it. I'm used to it. We were aqt the row past the office. If we were in the first row next to the tracks the noise maybe worse there. Just because the problem is there I deducted a couple rating points. We really like this campground. It is quiet, clean, friendly, and near attractions. Pets are welcome and the ones that are brought by other campers are quiet. Although there is a train that runs close by it is infrequent and quick. The area is great for walking and I did not feel unsafe walking alone. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very well maintained park. Owners are on-site and seem to be very on top of everything and customer service is first rate. Many trees, but no problem for out 40' with large slides. Great pool area for kids with splash pad too. Excellent location to the downtown dells area. Moreover, park was easy to get to. Plan to stay again in the near future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 days during the week after Labor Day. Thus we paid the lower "off season" rate for a FHU with cable pull-thru site in the roomier upper section of the park and our experience in a 1/3 full park was much better than that of summertime visitors. I found the facilities to be above average, but I can see how a packed park in the summer would cause a reviewer to downgrade this park especially if they were unable to get one of the better sites like we did. I certainly did not find the facilities to be "decrepit" as one anti-KOA reviewer did. Finally, good park with good facilities to be avoided in season if you can't handle crowds and kids. The KOA campground was very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. I had made reservations for 2 nights on the Internet, I then decided the day before to add another night. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The WiFi worked very well. We had a site near the road, the trains did come by once or twice an hour, but since I live near railroad tracks at home, it didn't bother me. The campground is very close to the Dells downtown. We would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The sites were way too small. The awning of the camper next to us was inches from our camper. The fire pit on our site was unusable since it was so close to our camper and on the edge of the hillside. Our reservation described new showers. Those showers were not completed at our visit and the limited showers and bathroom facilities were closed twice daily for cleaning. Even though they were not cleaned well. The pool was fine, but it did not make up for the other issues at the campground. The train is the least of their problems. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Like most KOAs, this one is overpriced, crowded, old, decrepit, and not worth anywhere near the charge. The wi-fi did work well, but that's about all the positive input I can say about it. They fee you death after already charging you an arm and a leg for an un-level, crowded spot. Stay somewhere else. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Filthy satellite restrooms uncleaned for 2 days . Three sites of drunks partying each night way past quiet hours , which were not enforced . Train shook the camper and woke us up all night long , couldn't even hear each other over the train noise . Advertised as family friendly and quiet but was neither . We left early and will not be back . We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great park, close to downtown. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would have zero issues with returning. Didn't use the pool or WiFi. Complaints: train track is right across the street from the campground, if you get one of the unlucky spots next to the road you enjoy the noise and the ground shaking. Sites are a little small but normal for a busy vacation location. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Second visit to the Wisconsin Dell's KOA. We visisted on the Fall Clean Up Weekend. We stayed in the upper part this year so the train did not bother us. Once again the staff was very friendly, bathrooms/showers clean, WIFI worked well, and quite at night. We like camping here late season for the Autumn Harvest Festival, the staff is always welcoming and happy to have us there. Thank you for another great visit. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park does have railroad tracks very close, however noise wasn't too bad. Some of the road ways to sites are narrow and might be hard to get around with some of the larger rigs. Wi-fi worked well, cable was marginal. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sites narrow, typical of KOAs, but tidy & clean everywhere. Owner lives on premises and works constantly on the grounds, along with staff. Off season, this CG is quite pleasant, as you will probably not be surrounded with lots of other campers; however, the satellite bathhouses are closed, leaving only the main ones open on the lower level. Bathrooms very clean; shower water pressure needed a little boost when we were there, but plenty of hot water. Upper level is preferable - farther from the train (the worst part of this CG). Some tent sites back up to woods or a wooded bluff edge, very nice, despite their small size. Many RV sites have concrete patios, which appear new. Dump station has garbage can and air hose in addition to the usual, a nice touch. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A great facility! Very clean and well kept. Staff was very pleasant and easy to understand (meaning, they weren't speaking broken english because they live in a eastern european country and just worked there for the summer-unlike the 'bear' campground in the area). We stayed in a pull-through site near the office/pool area and were very happy to see that they close the pool down early enough in the evening so you are able to enjoy a quiet evening campfire without hearing a lot of noise from that area. Also, they have security on site to make sure all is safe. We're already planning to return next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Dirty restrooms not cleaned for the three days I stayed . Drunks loud trains and in campground horn blowing all night long . Not a family park by a long shot . Security was non-existant and nobody answered their phone after hours . We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Very friendly campground. Owners were friendly. Bathrooms were spotless and showers were clean. We thought the sites were big enough but the firepit rings should be closer to your own site. We feared our small fire would ignite the popup camper next to us. We camped near the wooded area so there were only campers next to us. I thought we had decent privacy. The free water tickets are to an old waterpark which we found very dirty and unsanitary conditions. The train is annoying during the day. One day there were over five or six trains in one hour. It even ran a couple times around three in the morning. The pool was heated and clean. A very quiet campground besides the train. We would definitely camp here again. Loved the location to everything in the Dells. A friendly staff is a big plus to us. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Only reason didn't receive a 10 was because of the train tracks right across the street. Staff was very friendly and courteous. WiFi worked well, sites were clean and well kept. We plan on returning to this campground in the next year and this time plan on staying more than just one night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park. The people are very friendly and are eager to please. The spaces are adequate and big enough for large rigs with numerous pop outs. There are many trees that provide shade and makes you feel like you are in the forest. This park is close to all the attractions but is very quiet. There is a train track across the road but doesn't run at night and the road noise is minimal. The WiFi works very well here. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In the middle on this campground. Nice place, just campsites are way to close together. We stayed in Oct so there were only 6 or 8 campers there that weekend, so we could spread out just fine. However on a busy summer weekend, I would not stay there. Staff was nice, restrooms clean. Pool was shut down for the season so no comments on that. Wireless worked great, thank you for that. Free as well which is really nice for a change. Only gripe I have is that the sites are too close together, staggered so sitting under your awning, look to the left and you are looking at the back of the camper next to you. Look straight ahead and looking at the side of the camper in front of you. Basically boxed in. But in the off season, it is okay. Oh one more thing. There is a train across the street and it went by 3 times a night on us. very very loud if you are located on the lower sites. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

For some, this may be a great place to stay, for us, it was way too much money for a campground. They had decent sites with a pool and small water play area. We were shocked that the putt putt was an additional $5 per person (Are you serious!?!) It is conveniently located near Wisconsin Dells, this was a pass through for us, we only stayed one night on our way to Mt. Rushmore. I wouldn't go back due to the high cost. Park is very expensive in the summer and became more expensive when I moved to a red carpet site. I did this because the standard sites are very unlevel and tight. The road noise from the interstate is constant and annoying. The park has a lot to do for kids, and it has an extremely well stocked store. I think I would look for another park, should I return. This was not our first time here. But this time, it was so early in the season that I believe there were only 3 of us in the park. 1 overnighter came in but was gone by morning. It snowed, and weather was horrible, but that was not Yogi's fault. We came for Mother's Day festivities. The park took care of us. On Mother's Day Yogi brought food and a rose for my wife. The pool wasn't open yet but considering the weather that didn't matter. There were some activities for the kids, but seeing we were the only one's using the activities they were minimized. I like this campground; It will continue to be a once a year or so stop for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was very well kept. My site was a little tight to get into (38 foot 5th wheel with crewcab long bed truck). Great place for kids, lots of activities. Pool was a little small for the amount of people, but the kids water play area was very nice. My nieces (7 and 9) were very happy all weekend. We are planning to go back next year for a longer stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground for the kids, lots for them to do. A little on the expensive side, but worth it with all the activities. Clean, decent sized sites, friendly staff. Close enough to all the Dells activities you can drive to enjoy them if you choose, but far enough away to enjoy that quiet, relaxing camping environment. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The only reason it earned less than a zero was the water park, which my two year-old adored. But I cannot recommend this to anyone, honestly. Not only is it overpriced at $70+ a night for a VERY cramped spot, we were put directly across from the dumpster which was overflowing when we arrived and the same as we left. Multiple times I complained about the smell and each time promised it would be removed to no avail. The young staff members were very friendly but the administration seemed much more concerned with selling spots than pleasing clients. VERY poor. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The site we had selected, which was further from the Interstate was unsuitable for camping with small children since it was backed up into an extremely steep ravine. The site was terribly out of level, so much that I had to use an 8” X 8” beam that was lying along the side of the ravine just so the rear stabilizers would reach something solid. I never did get the camper level front to back. The adjacent site had a low hanging branch from a tree between the sites that would not allow my sister’s trailer under it. The same tree was up against my camper so there was no thought about using the awning. We arrived late so the next day when we realized that my sister’s trailer wouldn’t fit under the tree next to us we requested different sites, which the staff was helpful enough to give us a list of available sites during the time we requested to stay. We were able to find a couple of sites that were fairly level and had an area to place the picnic tables that were not on a side of a hill. Wi-Fi was available at the new site which was closer to the “Ranger Station”, whereas our first site there was no signal. Unfortunately the weather was not so nice, so we had minimal use of the pool and kid’s water play area. We camped the week up to July 4th holiday so toward the weekend the place was packed. As we were out enjoying some of the local attractions my sister’s camper was broken into, which was upsetting to say the least although nothing seemed to have been taken. We noticed most of the tent sites were not on level ground and most of the non-premium campsites didn’t have much level area between sites for the picnic table and chairs. There were several play areas for the kids, but the primary one was the only one that had enough going on to keep them busy. There were activities every hour for the kids to participate in, some of which do incur additional costs. The shared facilities (toilets and showers) were clean and well maintained. Overall we were happy with the campground and would stay there again, however my sister preferred the local KOA better, so we will most likely stay there next time. One thing to keep in mind is site selection is key at this campground. The sites close to the Interstate would tend to be very noisy with the traffic and most of the others do not have level ground for a picnic table or tent. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We got to our site and the trees were too low for our camper so we asked if we could move. We moved and went for dinner and got back and realized that the power was not working. Nobody was able to help us until morning. In the morning we were told by the maintenance man that they were aware of the problem but we had to move our camper again. There weren't sites available where our camper would be facing the playground so we went to a cheaper site. We paid for the Yogi Sites- (boating and golf included). Boating was never available. The store and game room was not always open and we had to deal with a crying disappointed child many times. There were multiple events that were supposed to be available for the kids that were never done. We were told it was because they were short staffed due to some schools still going on. The pool slide was only run by request and the children s pool was open twice in the 3 days we were there. The snack bar and all events by the pool were closed. Staff never showed up for the hayride. The campsites were very loud and right next to the interstate. We did complain and not one person said sorry. We were just told " we can do these things by request". This was not true. When we asked about the kids pool being closed, we were told they could only run one pool at a time due to staff shortage. The staff that was watching the pool was also the activity person so that took care of all the activities being canceled also. Our whole reason for going early in the season was to avoid some of the rush. We had to pay the same rate everyone else does later in the season and did not get to use half of the amenities. We will never go back to this particular Jellystone. We also heard from many others that they also will not be back. If they did not have staff for everything they advertise they offer, they should NOT be open. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for the Boo Boo Birthday Bash over Memorial Day weekend. The fourth day was free so we arrived a day early. Campsite was great, though pitched a bit on the excessive side. My jacks had to extend far enough to raise the front wheels off the ground. On a positive note, it did rain and the ground water ran off quickly away from the campsites. Our dog was welcomed, and there are a lot of activities for the kids. The water-park is OK, however the main swimming pool really needed to be cleaned as pine needles littered the pool. As this is a family based campground, kids are everywhere but I found most to be very respectful. The campground is right off the highway, which is not that bad, but at night time the noise is very noticeable. By turning on a fan I was able to drown out the sound of the traffic. If it wasn't for the pool cleanliness and the highway, I would have rated this campground higher. We will return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park offers very nice "red carpet" sites. They are a bit expensive but they also include access to their own water park area. Lots of trees and natural areas make this park feel very much like a true camping experience. The cabins they rent are so adorable and look like a nice option for friends who may want to go along on a camping trip but don't own a camper. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a family friendly park. We camped there for 4 nights and rented a chalet for our kids and grandkids. They all had a great time. Lots of activities to enjoy. The new water park was fun for the little ones, but the main pool was a little small for all the people that attended. The characters were always available to be seen when they were supposed to be. Lots of people and lots of action. Fun Fun Fun. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed early season at this campground. First weekend in May. Not too many people there or much going on yet. Understandable though, so was peacefull and relaxing, expect for the constant noise of I90/94. That was loud. The pool just opened for season, expect too cold to use, but looked nice. Waterpark not open yet for season, but looked fun for young kids. Looked like during the summer kids would have fun there. Sites were very close together, no room for tow vehicles at some. Waterfront area needs some attention, clean up and restoration. Cabin's there look really nice! Would I stay here again. Humm, during the off season, probably. On season, no too close for my comfort. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place was nowhere near as nice as the website would lead you to believe. The waterpark is nonexistant, even though they are charging you $10/day for use of it during the summer season. It's nowhere near being built. There is one pool, and it is so crowded. It makes a big deal about swimming and fishing in the lake..there's no lake. There is a boat launch area at the bottom of a very deep drop-off that you need to drive to, but nowhere to swim and practically nowhere to fish. We ended up going to nearby Mirror Lake State Park, which seemed very nice. I'd not camp with Yogi again, but Mirror Lake looked like a great place to hang out. The kids had fun seeing yogi and playing with each other but honestly this place is not worth the money. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Great park for families with children. Yes it is near the expressway but I got used to the low rumble after awhile and tuned it out. At night our air conditioning drowned out the road noise . This place has many activities for the kids, a great pool and is building a water park. The facilities were clean everytime I used them. The sites could be larger but are not cramed together. It is located 5 min away from everything the dells have to offer. The lake access shack mentioned above is a little run down, but the river connects to Mirror Lake state park which has a no wake limit. Over all a very nice place to stay while seeing the dells. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We stayed here on a "free" weekend provided by the place we purchased our travel trailer from. We paid $3/night to upgrade to a full hook-up site. The major problem is that this campground is located literally right next to I-94 and the traffic is very loud. The full hook-up sites are the closest to the highway. We knew before-hand that it was next to the highway, but were still surprised at how loud it actually was. The campground itself was clean and sites were not on top of each other. We spent much time around the campfire, and in their game room, which was nice. Staff could have been a little friendlier (especially to the kids playing in the game room, they seemed to be bothered by the people redeeming their tickets from the games). They had miniature golf, wagon rides, and a swimming pool, although we went in October and it was too cold to enjoy those amenities (not their fault) it still looked like it would be enjoyable weather permitting. If this campground were not right on the interstate, it would have gotten a higher rating. Would not pay full price to stay there because of the traffic noise. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Nice clean facilities and grounds. The reason for the 6 rating is because the Campground is located right next to I-94 which makes its campsites very loud. Also, we were disappointed in the misrepresentation of the boating and fishing availability. It is NOT on a lake, and requires a long walk down a very steep path to their 6 or 7 water filled canoes and run down boating shack along an inlet leading to a lake that we never saw. Our 7 and 8 year olds had a nice time and enjoyed the Yogi, Cyndi and the hayrides. But, the loud sites and misrepresentation will keep us from going back. We paid $35 for Red Carpet pre Memorial Day rates. I would have been even more upset if we had paid the High Season weekend Rate of $75/night We camped here in a Motorhome.

The nightly rates are high, but when considering the Amusement and water park passes they offer it is a really good deal. We spent a day on the roller coasters and go carts and they were good. The water park looked great, but we did not use it. We used the pool close to the RV. Good location. We had cable and satellite view. Sites are spacious and level. Mostly back in. The two drive thrus I saw were in the middle of the parking lot. All asphalt. This is a destination park. Not worth it if you are only staying one night passing thru. I would like to go back some time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a disappointment. The RV part of the hotel is either on weeds/dirt or asphalt parking lot and seemed to be an afterthought for RV use and not a planned RV park. We were assigned weed/gravel sites that would not accommodate big rigs and were about 30'long, and the access to the site was difficult for a big rig. Hard to stuff a 40' Motorhome in that one. We were told to go across the street on the asphalt parking lot where big trees coming out of the asphalt kind of marked the sites. The sites are narrow, and with slides out you are right on the line. Our friends were next to us in their 5th wheel with quad slides and they could not put out their awning on our side because of a big tree and our slide out. One good note is that you have the use of the indoor or outdoor pool and the other amenities at the hotel. With so many "real" RV parks in the Dells, we would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is in a good location and easy to find. It is located close to the downtown area as well as the water parks. We were in a back in site in between two trees on blacktop that backs up to a go cart track. Site was able to accommodate our 36 foot plus 5th wheel. There is an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and game room at the motel main office which we were able to use. It was very nice and we had it all to ourselves! At times there was a lot of traffic noise coming from the Dells Parkway which is the main road through the Dells. Beware of the freight trains that run behind the back of the resort and are very loud at 3 AM! You can opt to have Mt. Olympus Water Park and Theme Park tickets included with your stay. We opted for this option and enjoyed it very much. Not all the outside rides were open but still enough to have a good time. My children enjoyed the space on pavement to ride their bikes and they also took advantage of the playgrounds which were very well kept. One negative is that the pavement spots do not have their own fire pits. The gravel and grass sites appeared to have their own fire pits. For the pavement sites, you must walk across the way to a common area with 2 pits to share among 10 sites. Common area also has a gazebo with chairs. Each site does have it's own picnic table. The water connection was on the other side of our camper so we had to run the hose under the camper. Make sure you have a long enough hose to do so. The cable television and Wi-Fi worked great as well. We had plenty of room to walk our dogs as well. All in all, this is a nice campground. We would definitely consider coming back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This facility has been my overnight stop during the late Fall or early Spring because it is one of the very few open 12 months out of the year. Usually you have to pay at the BP gas station across the street, so stop there first and save yourself the walk when it is very cold or raining outside. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground has paved roads with some paved and some gravel sites; we were in a back-in paved site that was basically along the edge of a parking lot with the amusement park rides to the rear of the campsite, with attendant noise. This was a weekly rate. The utility box has one 30 and one 50 amp outlet so which gets which may depend on who got there first. The water faucet was on the other side of the camp space so had to run a hose around, bit of a strange setup. There are large trees between the sites so the shade was welcome. The sites have a picnic table. The cable TV had 66 channels. Wifi signal reached the camp site but I used an air card which worked well. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came here after viewing their website...problem was that as it is off season..no facilities as such open. Their website did not mention that. Had to walk over to a closed hotel to use the restroom. Had intended to stay few days.. but will now move on in search of an RV park that is open and has facilities such as a hot tub. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We parked on the paved lots but they also have gravel and grass, all with different amenities. We were there for the Polish Festival and they had a pay for two get the third free special so the rate was good. Good satellite reception and reliable wi-fi. Guests in the RV park have access to all the amenities in the hotel. Walking distance to water parks and amusement parks and restaurants. We would come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For a center of town place to park the rig this campground is OK. On the plus side for an extra $15.00 you get a wrist band for entrance to the major park across the street. That was worth the stay. On the neg side sites are narrow if the park was full awnings could not be out. The TWO pull throughs they have are at the end of the parking lot. You are really just in the middle of the road. I would stay there again We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Mush be better than Stoney Creek resort in Osseo. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price is based on a week's stay. PassPort American is $24.50 on weekday and $59.00 on Sat. and Sun!!! Way overpriced. Location, location, location! The park happens to be located in the heart of the amusement parks, etc. Like some have said, just a park lot campground. Not very well run. Youngster in charge don't know much about RVing and park operation. Some don't know English well. Really a combination of 2 motels, travel mart gas station, seafood buffet and etc. Some sites are really tight. We moved 3 times before we found one that would work. Parked next to the main office and got great free Wi-Fi. Cable TV great. The pools and hot tubs are the highlight of the stay here. Wal-Mart about 5 miles and a little grocery (Zinkie's) about 2 miles in the Wisonsin Dells. Water and power fine. Water taste good too. 2 little OK laundry's $1. wash and dry. Sewer is at the very back of sites. Need extension for sure. Would only stay on weekdays due to price. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

With the Passport America rate, this park is a good deal. It's convenient to the Dells activities and during our October visit, the park was quiet with many available spaces. The indoor spa and heated pool in the hotel were clean. Most of the hotels and family entertainment (water parks, amusement parks, etc) in the area were closed for the season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not so much a camping experience as a great spot in the heart of all the attractions in the Dells. Right next to an amusement park and near one of the water parks. Other attractions within walking distance or a free shuttle offered nearby. I managed to hit 6 major attractions in 1.5 days there and some were right across the street and open at 11pm! Great pools inside and outside there. Good wifi. They have discount tickets available for several attractions. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This "park" is more like a parking lot to leave your camper while you see the sights in the Dells area. They do offer full hook ups and they have a pool and access to the indoor pool at their hotel but I would not want to go there and think that I had to stay there all day. The play ground equipment needs to be replaced its all old and broken. They have tennis and basketball courts but they are not very appealing (could be that we were there early in the season). The shower house was closed (early April) so I can not say how it was. The indoor pool was heated and nice. They offer an affordable one day admission ticket ($15 per person) to use the Huge indoor water and theme park at Mt. Olympus across the street. I would go to this park again as a place to sleep between Dells attractions... but not for a real "camping" experience. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
