Noisy. If you like trains and hwy noise, this is the place for you. We pulled in after the office was closed, but were able to find our reserved slot. Rigs are situated close together and there are tight turns getting to the sites. There are many older rigs/trailers that appear to be there long term. Residents were quiet, but it would be difficult to hear anyone for the hwy and train horns at night. The sights are close together, level, gravel: hookups within easy reach of rig. Park appeared clean and I felt safe in this urban park. Low rating is due to train horns that nearly put me in cardiac arrest at 2am. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I was honestly shocked by how horribly run this place was. The owner was rude, the ice cream shop and hot tub the website discusses are both shut down for good. The restrooms were dirty and smelled terrible, a loud train woke us up repeatedly in the night, and the "high speed Internet" doesn't even work! We went down three times asking them to reset their router (they wouldn't, and were rude about it) and were finally told that only the first two or three trailers of the first two rows can actually get Internet and doesn't work for any other spots. Were we treated with a bit more respect I might not have been quite as mad, but everything about this place just screams We-Don't-Care-About-You! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sorry, but we won't be staying here again. The park in general was mediocre, run down with small but level sites, small trees, and a patch of grass. Had a 30 amp site with no sewer, but cable and Wi-Fi. Our big complaint is the noise. There was an active train track literally just over the fence at the back of the park (3 spots down from where we were) with several trains during the night and many during the day with horn blowing for a nearby crossing. Made it very hard to get uninterrupted sleep, not to mention just annoying. The place did have small pool and a small miniature golf course in need of fixing up. Bathrooms may have been clean, but as old as they were it was hard to tell what was dirt and what was just age. The KOA may not be much better, but at least you could probably get some sleep there! Rate reflects AAA discount. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

A good park for overnighting. Close to fuel, food and shopping(less than a mile away). Interior road and sites gravel and close to one another. Some shade, but used for long term campers. Pool very small. Behind RV park is railroad tracks. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The best I can say about this park I'm glad they were full when I stopped. Another couple in a fifth wheel pulled in in front of me and because of vehicles parked in front of the office neither one of us pull in front of the office or pull through the park. It was a tight to drive through when we finally could move to leave the park. Parking spots looked tight and long term people had their vehicles in the way. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects Good Sam discount. This was an overnight stop for us. This park says it's big rig friendly. Our unit with bike racks installed is 45 feet long. We were directed to a "pull through" site and had to unhook our toad to make the turn into the site. We had to park our toad sideways behind our unit to nearly be out of the road. The roads and sites are gravel, the train switching station is nearby, heard them very well outside, but not in the motorhome with the air conditioners running. Did not use the restrooms or pool (very small). Park is fairly easy to get in and out of. We would stay here again, but only overnight. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nobody was available onsite on arrival, and nobody was available by phone. We couldn't get into the pull through site assigned because of vehicles parked in "No Parking" area, and owners "declined to move"). We had to figure out what sites were available and just take one. It is very close to train tracks with VERY loud train whistles through the night (you wouldn't want to leave your windows open if you are a light sleeper.) The spots are tight with pull through sites sharing picnic space. We got our 40' rig in without having to disconnect the toad, but it was pushing the space. Okay for overnight, we wouldn't want to hang around. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are worse campgrounds out there, but not many. You can sure do better while in Casper than this one. Try the others. This one is terribly over priced. This is an extended stay campground with RVs that have been here so long they have installed residential style 500 pound A/C on the roof of their RV. No attempt to enforce leash laws with an unleashed Pit bull in direct view of the office manager. Though they say they are big rig friendly, the sites for over nighters are very close together and very difficult to maneuver. There are ample examples where RVs have hit electrical columns, trees and the wood wall. An active railroad is 100 yards away and the interstate on the other side. Don't waste your money here. We'll never return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pricing was good for staying one night but, "that was enough." Be aware that you are between the freeway, (which is noisy) and, the railroad tracks which, the train comes through (and blasts the horn) during the evening and early hours of the morning (several times!!!) If you are planing on an afternoon nap or sleeping soundly through the night into the morning, "FORGET IT!!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice office people and helpful. Had a person lead us to our space and help us which was great. Only issue we had was that there are sites that need to be cleaned up. Broken down trucks, junky trailers that look to be here year around. Picnic table at sites are rotten and falling apart and no trash cans. Bathroom facilities were taken care of very well and the laundry was too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is your basic overnight stop & move on the next day RV park. Tight turns & getting into the sites. Entrance is right at the east end of an overpass & is easy to miss if you are traveling east. Wi-Fi worked well but the site wasn't very level and was dusty or muddy from watering. The sewer connection was in poor condition. Would stay again for an overnight only stop. Believe your experience at this campground depends on the site. We had a water and electric site which are side by side, cramped, no picnic tables, and not level at all. Showers and restrooms clean and old. Campground is located between railroad tracks and expressway, so sound is an issue if you're a light sleeper. When we left in the morning around 9, we had to ask the camper in the next spot to move his truck, so we could exit the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Individual bathrooms are a nice amenity. This is an older campground that has not been updated. Make sure you follow the instructions in Woodall's to enter the campground because the entrance from the west is confusing. Cable TV is limited to only eleven channels. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This an older, in-town park. The sites are close together, with minimal grass between them and the access can be tight for longer rigs. We have a 36' fifth wheel and an extended cab dually truck and we have to park the truck crossways in front of the trailer and even then are just barely off the road. But the water pressure is good, the power seems to be OK, and the wi-fi is good (for the little time we used it); don't know about the cable as we didn't use it. The management seems to be friendly and helpful. It's convenient to shopping. The entrance is not very visible -- we came from the west so our turn would have been a left turn into the park, and we missed it. We didn't see the sign until we were right on it, and then the turn was nearly 180 degrees. Coming from the east it would be easier, but you still have to watch carefully. Fine for an overnight, but I wouldn't want to spend too much time here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park, not updated. Sites are narrow. Our had a mud puddle, (we think from an underground water line leak). Owner's or manager's son helped us park, apparently didn't realize the problem. Sewer hookup is so far to rear it was difficult to hook up to water and electric, open bedroom slide without hitting tree and hook up to sewer. No grass. Restrooms marginally clean. Son was helpful with propane tank fill-up. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a decent in-the-city type RV park. Sites are very close together. It was fine for a quick one-night stop over. We didn't use the pool, but there was a line of kids waiting to get into it in the morning. A sign said it was supposed to open at 9am, but at 9:45 the kids were still waiting outside the fence waiting for it to open. The showers and bathrooms were clean and worked well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place is OK for overnight in the newer sites along the edge (where we were for one night), and could be quite nice for longer term if you can get in the established areas (grass and trees). It is definitely in town and has suffered from highway expansion but it's much better than I expected from the entrance. Roads and all look a bit tight but really had no problems. Enormously better than the place on the river (we pulled in and immediately out). We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night on our way to SD. This park is OK for overnight. It is an urban park and there is a train that runs next to it but there was no whistle and in didn't bother us. WI-Fi at the site and cable worked perfectly. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

NOT GOOD!!!! Price WAY TOO much for this urban jungle. Were going to spent 3 days here, spent 1 night, left a dawn. This is an example of what a campground shouldn't be, no trees, no grass, right on top of each other, very difficult entrance, very difficult exit, old run down, should really be bulldozed over, nothing positive here, would rate it a ZERO but rvparkreviews doesn't go that low. Entering the park requires you to drive over what is almost a curb. Exiting is the same. Drive slowly over this but watch for oncoming traffic. Loud train just north of the park with a lot of activity during the night time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions. Two internet connections available, one in the laundry room and one in the adult club house. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night, no problems. Staff was helpful, even loaned us bleach when we discovered that we had a leak in valve for black tank. Bleach was to sterilize the small puddle under valve. Nothing really outstanding about the park, just a nice quiet place to stay. Smith RV also located about .5 miles from park as well. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We are so glad we chose this park, which happened because the others closer to town were full (rodeo and other events going on.) The owners are friendly and helpful. The campground is gravel, sites are adequately spaced, wifi is excellent, bathrooms are spotless, store/office has good variety of tourism materials and some basic groceries. It appears every site has a table, and the tent sites have a shade structure. The pool and spa are indoors, and there is a small outdoor playground. Beautiful views of the valley and Casper Mountain, and highway noise is diminished later. We looked at the other places and in comparison, this KOA is the best location and very well kept. It is only minutes from town, and we aren't cramped as the older parks appear to be. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We broke down on the way to here and instead of charging the whole deposit, they only charged the $10 cancelation fee. We called to cancel around 2PM. The check in process was fast and easy. The cabins were clean and nice. It would have been nice if the cabins were also pet friendly. Having the dog at the campground was not an issue as long as it was chained up outside the cabin or on a leash. I do not like to chain any pets and traveling with my pet had not been an issue until I stopped here. Having kids at the campsite quickly became an issue as well when they tried to use the amenities. There were rules for the mini golf course and rules for the swimming pool. The managers were like hawks waiting to enforce them. There were so many rules in fact that staying in the campground was more of a pain than a vacation! Now don't get me wrong, some rules are good, but when your 16 year old is not old enough to watch your 10 and 12 year old in the pool while mom gets some much needed R and R, that quickly becomes an issue. Another downfall is there is not any shade, and the interstate is really close by. Dust allergies become a problem and safety of children as well. I definitely will not be staying here again. I'd rather pay the same price and stay in hotel. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.

You can sum up this campground with one word – Spartan. It is a small campground that is difficult to find the entrance (don’t follow Garmin) right off the Interstate. The place is all rock or dirt with level sites but no grass or trees with plenty of room for big rigs – and some huge camp sites. All of the basics (water, etc.) were good. The campground is located in an old industrial area near Bar Nunn with plenty of wind and about 6 miles from Casper. We did not use any of the amenities other than the cable TV and Wi-Fi. Both were very poor with only 15 stations – all of the worst TV stations you can think of unless you want to buy stuff from TV ads. The Internet was poor then good then poor. Not sure why but they may have a bandwidth problem. Even with all of these negatives, we would recommend this place as a good overnight stop – no long term but overnight would be okay and if we come through Casper again, we will stop here. With this said, we feel a strong 5 is warranted as most people stop here as “overnight.” We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The park entrance was not well defined, there is no security here, the park is open to the street with numerous drive ways. My site was really close to another rig. Site was bare ground with a extreme pitch. I really couldn't believe this was a KOA. A lot of oil/construction workers staying in park. Behind me was a travel trailer that regularly left there dog outside with no one there. I did not enjoy my stay there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Casper KOA has not changed over the years. It is a good place to stay. Services are always good. Due to it's location there is no trees and the entire place is gravel, level and easy to get into and out of. This is the best place to stay around Casper. Fort Casper is the only other RV Park, but it is getting better from the last few years but not better than Casper KOA. I will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy in and out. Non-typical KOA as it has an indoor pool. The Loaf and Jug (convenience store) down the road is too tight for big rigs to use, so fuel up somewhere else. Casper KOA is actually about five miles north in the town of Barr Nun. Interstate noise was not too bad. Friendly staff, but they all tend to talk to you at the same time, so listen carefully to all their instructions and rules. Dog run area is very small and just gravel. It's OK for an overnight stay. This is a pretty basic gravel parking lot, but the staff was very friendly, helpful with directions and the facilities were clean. It was well worth it to stay here one night just to visit the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, an outstanding exhibit. After seeing what emigrants had to endure, it's hard to complain about spending a night in an RV in a non-picturesque park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a very attractive place, in a dumpy looking area. Short, narrow gravel sites with small grassy area in between, which needed mowing badly. Cable was very limited and offered little improvement over what we could pick up with the antenna (unless you are into the Home Shopping Network). In spite of an excellent Wi-Fi connection the internet was horrible, very slow and almost unusable. Some highway noise. KOA = OVERPRICED. OK for an overnight. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground is approximately 6 miles from Casper. Gravel sites quite wide with long pull throughs. Cable TV and Wi-Fi was good. There is wilderness camping and there is camping to have a place to stop and sleep while you are on the road. This is a campground with easy access to the highway to pull into after a long day on the road. The area is gravel but it is very clean. The bathrooms were very clean, sparkling. I used the laundry room and that too was very clean. The staff was friendly and the merchandise and store were organized and, have I used this word before? Clean. We relaxed in our camper using the WiFi to catch up on our email with family and friends. You want a wilderness camping experience? Then drive the extra miles to find it. You just want a clean friendly place to spend the night when you are on the road? Then this KOA is it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were under a tree and could not get satellite but they had cable, so no problem. Owner very nice and helpful. Park was pet friendly. Worst park we've stayed in this year! Owner was snippity at check-in; made my wife so mad she wanted to leave, but there was no place else to go. Park had all large gravel so was hard to level and tough to walk on. NO SHADE!! NO GRASS! Lots of noise from I-25! Priciest RV park of our trip. Our site had cigar butts all around so obviously they don't clean sites. Our sewer drain had dried toilet paper all around it (like paper mache) so they don't clean drain areas either. They do have an indoor pool. We won't be returning here. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The store was very nice. The pool was indoors, which was very nice since it was quite windy the day we stayed here. The owners were friendly and gave us good advice about how to get around Casper. The wife and I even walked over to the nearby lounge and played pool in the evening. The campground is actually slightly north of Casper, not far off I-25. As other reviewers have said, there is precious little shade. But it is a nice place to stay for a day or three while in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A quick overnight stop during which we did not use any of the facilities except to register. The staff was friendly and the main building was clean. The site was no more than a gravel parking lot, with just enough space to put out our slides and have a table between us and the next unit. This is a nice park, although there is no shade to be found and it is right next door to the I-25 so be prepared for the highway noise. We did a one-night layover here on our way to Yellowstone. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean and well-maintained but the place is pretty barren and lacking in character. There is almost no grass and only a handful of trees. I-25 is only a hundred yards away so traffic noise was an issue. It was a clean, safe place to sleep but that's about it (the pool was nice though). The price seems a little steep for what you get. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is actually in Bar Nunn, Wyoming (close to Casper). The staff is extremely friendly. It has a wonderfully stocked store with groceries and gift items. There's a beautiful swimming pool, and good laundry and restroom facilities. The downside was the limited area for walking pets and the industrial-type of buildings by the park. Although there were sites that had sewer connections, they seemed to be all taken up by long term rigs (They seem to be semi permanent residence, each had very large propane tanks and underpinning). They did provide dump site but upon exiting this morning we had to wait in line to use it. Make sure you tanks are empty if you plan on staying here. The store was not open during posted hours and was opened late. The showers were family style but were limited to three in one house and two in the office area. Without drain capabilities the showering in the RV was very limited. WIFI was supposed to be available but trying to log on it would drop the signal every time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

In my opinion this park was mediocre, no grass or trees. It is way over priced ($44 for EW&C). There were no full hook-ups available so we were way out in back and it was fairly far to the nearest rest room. There were three toilet shower combo's there, not enough for all the tent campers & Kamper Kabins. A dog ran loose in the park the whole time we were there even though we called the office about it. We have stayed in this campground many times when we visit relatives in Casper. Likewise, we have stayed at many KOA campgrounds. This one is average at best. The sites are all gravel with few trees and it is near Interstate 25 with some traffic noise. The reason I gave this campground such a low rating is they raised their rates to $40 a night. I felt it was too high last year at $35 and it is definitely too high now. I asked about the increased rates and was told, "everything is going up, so we raised our rates" What they fail to realize is that we cut our stay short due to their rates. Instead of two nights, we would have stayed at least four nights had the rates been more reasonable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I read the review above by the person who was turned away because of their dog. I am currently staying at this park and was present in the store when this incident occurred and I have quite a different view of the situation. I don't know what was said prior to the owner telling the guest that their insurance does not allow them to accept pit bulls and their kin. The guest stated that his dog was a Staffordshire Terrier not a pit bull. The owner then told him that this breed is also not allowed by their insurer. The guest wanted to debate the topic but the owner told him a second time that their insurer does not allow this breed. The lady behind the desk then politely made the guest a reservation at another campground in town. As far as the derogatory comments about the owner, we have stayed many days at this campground over the last 2 years and have found all the employees and the owners to be quite courteous and helpful. RVers: Hide your women, children, and dogs from the owner of this park. We had barely walked into the office to check in when the owner barked (appropriately) that we owned a "pit bull" and that was not allowed and we had to go elsewhere. In fact, we do not own a pit bull, and while our sweet Daphne is a relative of a pit, we have NEVER been turned away and never had any problems with her. So, this owner's gruff language and assessment, followed by a storming up the stairs to not even discuss the issue had me standing there in amazement. We had to totally reroute our trip right there on the spot. I heard later from a different RV park owner that the guy has a reputation for being nasty; yeah, no kidding. We stay at a lot of RV parks -- and a lot of KOAs -- but we will never again stop in Casper, and certainly never in this KOA -- and we advise you to not use this park if you need to be in the area. This is a very nice stopover park. We were on our way from Ca to Mt Rushmore and liked the Casper area so much we stayed an extra night here. The KOA staff were very friendly and helpful. We did eat at the Bar and Grill next to the campground, and yes, it was very smokey. On the other hand, the staff were very friendly and the hamburgers and "home made" french fries were excellent. Rate is based to buy 2 get 1 free hot deal. The park is a few miles north with a great view overlooking Casper. The sites were reasonably level and Cable TV & WI-FI worked fine. Fine place as an overnight or 2 nights, with an indoor swimming pool. The KOA is actually in Bar Nunn which is a very small and poor community. Casper is a nice town and there is a great walking, jogging and biking path that goes for miles through Casper. Avoid the recommended restaurant within walking distance, it is a bar with smoking. And do not fill up at the gas station at the exit, since I am fairly sure we got some water with our diesel. We would stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the best KOA's we have stayed at. We only intended to stay overnight, but Casper is very charming and the park was so well kept and maintained we felt comfortable extending our stay. Owners are super friendly and accommodating. Park facilities are very well maintained and managed. Shade trees are abundant, at least two at every sight, some are still growing so shade is not as much as the more mature trees. We would definitely stay again for any length of time. This is a relatively newer KOA with mainly rock ground cover. It is very well maintained and younger trees strategically are planted at each site. The facility is on the north edge of Casper in Bar Nunn in an open area, so it is susceptible to wind, however not dusty. The management is courteous ,and it is obvious the facility is well maintained because they pay attention to details. In years to come as the trees mature this will be a nice park. The pads are measured equally with about 10' between each one. The Wi-Fi works perfect and the cable TV is a nice addition with 50+ channels. While more distance between sites and better shade would be a plus, all in all this is a very well maintained facility with the best yet to come over time. The rates are a bit high, with the only discounts being offered for KOA members, but one only needs to check reviews of other RV parks in Casper, and it is a no brainer. For a very clean, well maintained and well managed facility this is the only real choice in Casper. This is especially the case if you have spent a week or so boondocking in the adjacent mountains/prairies. We would not hesitate recommending this KOA. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We parked in the 30 amp with water and electric only. Restrooms & Showers on that side of the park are individual rooms with shower, toilet and sink. The shower was one of the biggest we've found in a KOA. The water pressure was okay, the water was hot and the shower curtain actually covered the opening. The site we were on sloped to the drivers side. The ground was gravel with grass on the sides no more than 8 feet. The gravel is relatively fresh and so we used pads for the jacks. It's a KOA site with barely enough room for motorhome from side to side. The access is fine. It's on the north side of Casper. At the entrance there are a couple of big chuckholes. The interior roads are mostly good and even. The Internet is works okay. There is wind but haven't noticed any noise or excess light. The park is not far from the highway but it seems to be lightly traveled. The owners are okay. We arrived at 3:00 pm and the sign on the door said they'd be back at 3:30 pm. They did show up on time but it was cold so the waiting was not real fun. We stopped here for 4 nights and plan to do sightseeing in Casper and Douglas on our way to Yellowstone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were not disappointed as there were few trees and it was windy. My only disappointment was the sites themselve. Our site was not level and small. There were some larger sites that appeared nice but they also could use some leveling (there was only a couple of larger sites. Overnight only! Actually located in Bar Nun north of Casper on I-25, It's very desolate. Most of the "Regulars" are parked up near the Main building. I never saw anyone near those rigs. The new short time people are parked out in the "Overflow" type area. Hook ups include electric and water with no sewer. Dump station is near the office. Shade is sparse in this area. Trips to the market or restaurants are in Casper approx 7 miles away. Wifi works well, Cable has many channels. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is WY and the environment is tough. This KOA does a fairly good job of dealing with it. Roads and sites are mainly gravel thus mitigating some of the blowing material. They enclosed the swimming pool and spa. They have tried to keep grass between sites in better sites and have a nice concrete patio with table as well. Ingress and egress is very easy and space between sits in better sites is excellent. Restrooms and laundry were very clean. We moved to two different sites due to extending our stay for business and had excellent wi-fi access in both. However, this is a typical Hotspotzz installation (formerly pay access) and any experienced traveler will know what to expect in terms of CG coverage. I did measure the signal at both sites using NetStumbler on a laptop and using an Orinoco card and found ~ -55 db signal, which is a very good level. I downloaded a 2.5Mb AVG update in just seconds. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Casper KOA North has a very large indoor pool. The campground was located close to the National Historic Trails Museum which was excellent. Had some seasonals living there, but was not bad. It looked much better than the Casper KOA East!
There were several people there who were picking up their new campers from the Teton Manufacturing Plant which is located nearby or who were there to have

Maybe I was excited about staying close to a historical site, and disappointed at the layout of the park. They cram visitors in so tight there is literally no space between RVs. It's rather complicated how folks are spaced in here too. When we went to our site, it was occupied and had to drive around the park again to find another one. The sites are all gravel, and for this location is probably one of the best available (we've stayed at others that were not as good). The Wi-Fi is good, the cable is good (once you figure out the channel line-up). We wold probably stay here again, but it would be for a short stay - overnight or two nights at most. They accept Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park with many full time residents. The resident children playing outside my trailer were a little loud but kids are just looking for fun and they stopped when it got dark. The staff was pleasant and the price was great. Most sites available are pull-through, gravel with full hookups. There were fishing ponds nearby and lots of wooded area to walk a pet. This was a one night stay so I did not utilize anything other than the space and the hookup. Honestly, many of these residents are hard working locals living in a rather remote town in Wyoming. Being a full-time RV'er, when I come across places like this it reminds me of how lucky I am to be traveling. Turns out it was an easier park to find than I thought it would be as we approached. It is located behind the museum following the drive to the left. Plenty of room within the park to maneuver even the largest rigs however the entry-way is tight (just go slow). Check in was pleasant and efficient. The park is all gravel making walking difficult with no grass for pets however there are plenty of places for them along the park's perimeter. Would have rated higher except was commanded to move my car while doing laundry because "That's where the boss parks!" Perhaps the staff was having a bad day but a poor attitude reflects highly on park ratings. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park seemed just fine to me. It's definitely not that manicured look type place so if that's what you want you won't like it. Yes, it's gravel with little shade and there are a lot of long term and permanents but most were clean and I didn't notice any dust. Very quiet at night. Close quarters and a little tight for parking but doable. Showers were well kept. A small play ground for kids and another play park just a block away near museum. Fort Caspar Museum was excellent and an easy walk from park. Nice walking paths along river. Fun to watch the deer and geese here. I would stay again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park for an overnight stop. It is an easy in an out with wide interior roads and long pull through sites. Roads and sites are gravel. We found it easy to maneuver with our 40 foot RV and towed car. It is in the city and close to shopping. We found the staff friendly and helpful both by telephone before arriving and in person. We did not use the cable TV or WiFi as we got good reception for our Verizon card and satellite TV. We did not have need to use the laundry, bath house, or game room. The rate posted is with Passport America discount. We would come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Price reflects two days of Passport America rate and two days of full price. First the good stuff: Very convenient to the city of Casper. Easy to find. Long pull-thus. I try not to slam parks too hard when I write reviews but in this case, I have no choice. When we went into the office to check in, we were greeted warmly by the two ladies at the desk. We knew that we must pay the full price after the PA days but when I asked about further discounts for the next two days. A gentleman behind the counter jumped in the conversation and in no uncertain terms let us know that we get NO further discounts. OK, fine. My wife asked what other discounts we could get for the whole four days thinking that the military rate would be better. Again, the man very rudely said that we can't get any further discounts. There may have been some communication issues but the gentleman could have been a little more diplomatic. There are a lot of folks living here long term and in some RV's that, to put it mildly, have seen better days. Some have a lot of junk laying around, unpainted plywood skirting, batteries sitting on the ground and other eye-sores. I saw at least three dogs running around off leashes and many more barking excessively into the evening. Over priced for a long, but very narrow parking site on gravel. I no shade, very low water pressure, no tables, barking dogs running around and a lot of city noise. Did I mention dust? Yep, got that too. We will not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in this gravel parking lot for just one night. I agree with the comments about being packed in like sardines, the permanent residence, and the dust. What upset me the most was the bathhouse. It is very clean, but there are no doors providing privacy; just skimpy white curtains. The shower is the same way and you must hang your things on a hook outside the shower stall. I like to keep my eye on my possessions at all times. They have lovely new sinks, faucets, automatic soap dispensers, but they really missed the boat on providing privacy for the women using the facility. One night and I'm out of here! There was no shade, no grass, all gravel. You were packed in like sardines. The dirt walking trails were so overgrown that you could not find them. There were no benches in the shower stalls to put clean clothes or towels. The toilets only had curtains for privacy. We payed for a week, but we left before staying the first night! Our site was a pull-through that had only gravel; no picnic table, no campfire ring, and no tree for shade for within 50 yards. The campground is settled by a very large number of long-term permanent residents with campers in all states of disrepair for permanent hook-ups, skirtings for insulation, and just junk. The man who checked us in was, for no reason, incredibly rude. Although we left before staying a night, we had to go back to pick-up 2 packages delivered for us by UPS: When we picked up our boxes we simply took our boxes from a pile with no one questioning if they were even ours. Without question the worst campground I ever paid to stay at! We camped here in a Truck Camper.

The park owner is real nice and was very helpful. You may wash your rig here with no problems, my neighbor told me. All utilities were good. We would stay again for a night. This is a very nice park with FHU 50 amp, flat site. Our price was the Passport America, cash price. The park is a little hard to find, as it is located behind the Ft. We arrived late and all the lights were out. We had no idea where to go once at the campground. I walked around the corner of the office and here was a guy sitting on the golf cart talking on the phone. He wouldn't give me the time of day. I asked how I check in and he pointed to a spot on the dark wall that said night buzzer and he turned and started talking on the phone. He turned out to be the night maintain guy. The lady wasn't much nicer. Then we pull around the corner and the entire campground is a gravel parking lot and it is entirely fenced in like you are in a prison. The bathrooms were very clean and nice but If you want to relax this is not the place to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

As others have noted, this is a no frills park, but it's kept well and the roads are quite wide so maneuvering into sites is easy. The staff is very friendly and I was surprised to find that they had already processed our check-in when we arrived. The price reflects 2 nights at the PA rate plus a weekly rate for a 50A pull-through. There are lots of long term residents but all the sites are well kept. The park is convenient to the city and major highways but without the highway noise. Satellite TV reception is easy to get and the Verizon signal is good. There is Wi-Fi but we didn't use it because there is a charge for it. One nice thing is that the park doesn't mind if you wash your RV, something lots of places are uptight about or charge for. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this park to be pretty much a gravel parking lot with very little shade and a LOT of permanent campers living there. The $21 rate reflects the Passport America rate and must be paid in CASH only. We used it as an overnight stopover and it worked for that. I doubt that we would have any reason to stay there for any longer. It is close to restaurants and a Super Walmart. I definitely wouldn't stay there if not for the Passport discount. Cable TV was fair. I believe that WiFi was available for a fee but we didnt use it. Utilities worked OK and the staff was friendly. Its about 8-10 miles from I-25. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

"No muss, No fuss." That really does sum it up. This is a great place to park your rig and see the sights. Like other reviews have said, there are lots of full time folks here but the camp is very well maintained and the folks are real friendly. We stayed here on our way to Yellowstone National Park and we will stay here on our way back as well. We did not use their Wi-Fi because you have to pay extra for it so we just tethered off of our cell phone. If your RV needs repair they have a connection with someone who can come out to your site and fix things. Bottom Line: Great place, good price (ours reflects Passport America discount). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our kind of campground. No muss; no fuss; no amenities. Long level sites, full hook-ups or not (at a reduced fee); good open satellite dish coverage; quiet neighbors; few children seen or heard. There are a lot of permanent residents, but the park is clean and neat. It's near Fort Caspar and the fairgrounds and restaurants are close. I imagine in late summer the mosquitoes would be really annoying. The campground in is a bend of the North Platte River, but has several standing ponds. The front desk people were terrific. Finding the campground was interesting, but our GPS led us there eventually. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Mount Rushmore. This is an okay place to stay overnight if you don't need any amenities. There is a playground for the kids and a basketball hoop. Outside of that, it is just a gravel park. The laundry room and showers were clean. It's $1.50 to wash and 75 cents to dry, which I thought was reasonable. Wi-Fi costs extra but my Verizon wireless card had a good signal so we skipped the extra charge. The best thing about this RV park is the location. It is right by the river and walking distance to Fort Caspar. We would stay here again but would probably try somewhere else first. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a good enough place for one night. Easy check in. Near a river and has two ponds but no swimming. Wi-Fi is available for 5.95 a night. The Verizon and sprint air cards work great so saved that much. My rates reflect Passport America with 5.00 per night for 50 Amp. Saved about 8 dollars with the Passport America which is about all a person can expect any more with all the extra charges the campgrounds throw in. This place is all gravel and dusty. No shade trees but wasn't hot the day we pulled in (75 degrees) and got down in the 40's that night. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is totally graveled with no picnic tables. Staff is friendly and within walking distance to the Ft. Caspar Museum. Have stayed in one of the other parks here and feel this one is the better. Lots of room in the pull throughs (38' Big Horn 3600 5'ver), so that you don't have to unhook if you don't want to. The park is nothing great (gravel roads, no grass anywhere) but would stay here again because of the location (fairly close to things) and the price - not for a long stay, though. This is a quiet campground behind Fort Caspar. The park has a good number of permanent campers, but their sites are maintained and neat. The RV sites for overnighters are in the center of the park, level and large, with good gravel and drainage in wet weather. There is a small fenced dog area, but you can walk in other areas as well. It is wide open, so satellite service and Verizon card are good, but they also have cable TV: 12 stations only if you do not have a box receiver in your RV. You are close to shopping you may need, and the Fort Caspar Museum and reconstructed buildings are quite interesting, and close!! We will stay here again if in Casper. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are Passport America. We came in expecting a $15 rate. They asked if we were 50 amp wired, we were and said so. They added $5 because they don't allow adapters down to 30 amp. It was well kept, clean, lots of permanent residents but not junkie. A number of dogs but under control (leashes). Office has empty shelves and coolers with no goods. Rest of office is strewn with debris. Continental breakfast consists of packaged sweet rolls tossed on a shelf. Large gravel RV park with about 65% long term. Location was easy. It was toward the inside of town, near a park, water, and museum so it was quiet. They required water pressure relief on all hookups! WiFi was an extra cost each day. This I don't appreciate. Worse, the logo of the WiFi provider add the word "free" directly under the logo. Nice campground, we found it way after dark. There is a pleasant host, who was very helpful. They are upgrading water so some construction but we were able to weave our way around that. The sites are very big, and very flat. The cable was great. I Didn't inquire as to WiFi as we were only staying one night. We left early the next morning and it was trying to snow. It was very quiet and nice. It is not near the freeway but worth the trip (about 5-7 miles). If you take the loop when you leave, you will come to a Flying J just before you access the freeway so you can fuel up there. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflected Passport America rate. Unfortunately the campground is NOT how it is represented on their website. All roads and sites are dirt/sand. If there was any gravel, it's gone. Most sites are very narrow, but just a few of the pull-thru sites are surprisingly wide, wide enough to park my truck next to the 5th wheel. There is cable that's included. WI-FI is strong, but not free. Staff was friendly, but not overly helpful. The laundry facility was nice. There are a lot of permanent residents. (Office staff told me that as many as 60 were permanent.) Some of the permanent rigs are nice and well maintained, but unfortunately, many were very old and falling apart. The website and brochure handed out at check-in represent a couple of fishing areas and a walking area around the river. All of these were in total disrepair and there was no water in the fishing ponds. We felt like we were walking through a junk yard. I agree with a previous review of total neglect. After staying an extra 2 days because of a surprise spring snowstorm, we had to leave with the sand/dirt roadways turned to mud, rutted and potholes everywhere. What a mess. If nothing else is available, this is OK for an overnight stay, but we will look elsewhere first. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is located in a beautiful location along the Platte River. There is access to the river for wildlife observation and fishing. It is conveniently located near the Fort Casper Historic Site. The campgrounds gives the impression of benign neglect. The sites are extremely close together without even a picnic table. This campground is not pet friendly. We were told at check in that there were two pet areas and were given a map of where they were. They were located at opposite ends of the campground, and they said that you must take the most direct route to the pet area and are not allowed to walk your pet anywhere else in the park. Needless to say, I am map challenged and started out the wrong direction. Before I had gotten 30 feet there was a man there telling me that I absolutely had to take my dog the other way to the area, and if I was caught again off the 'path' that I would be asked to leave the campground. I was not impressed. We were there during a spring blizzard which dumped over 14 inches of snow, and they did not plow the roads - or a path to the pet areas! The restrooms were clean but no private area to dress. There are long term units on the entire perimeter of the campground, and some of them are pretty shabby. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Showers and rest rooms were clean. The showers lacked privacy for dressing. The parking area is a gravel wind blown lot surrounded with semi to permanent residents some with a lot of junk around them. We wouldn't stay here again unless there was no where else to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I was looking forward to stay in this campground. I was raised around Casper and from the website I thought this would be a great campsite. When I pulled in to the campgrounds and saw the conditions I did not stop. There were campers that looked like they had been there for years. Dogs were out on a tether and not supervised. Junk cars and they had a posting at the entrance that I had to stop and read the regulations. I would not stay here for any reason. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff, and very clean restrooms and showers, although the showers lacked a private dressing area. Several long-term residents, dirt roads and sites, no shade. Lots of room for maneuvering and rabbits everywhere. Very windy during our visit. Camped in 37' MH with toad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is sandy--picture camping on the beach but in the middle of Wyoming. The location is great and accessible for the bicycle trail and other activities, but there is not a green weed growing! There's a lot of wind in wyoming and it blows the sand in this campground. Sounds as though the KOA at caspar is the better campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites are very easy to get in and out. Trees are very small and of no use as shade. All
gravel and very dusty and hot. No tables. Restrooms are very nice. Electric power was very low. Staff was helpful and nice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rather hard to find due to poor signing. Once you find it the interior roads are good with plenty of room to
maneuver. Many seasonal or permanents. Was quiet though. Not a place I would want to spend a lot of time as there is absolutely no shade, but a good place for a night when traveling through. We camped here in a camper.
