Our site was a gravel pull-through right next to the loop road. It was so unlevel that I didn’t have enough boards to get it level. On our loop many of the sites seemed crowded, but our site (L246) had plenty of privacy on the curb side. There was a table and a rock fireplace included. No utilities, but two dump stations on the way out and another on the way in that was more convenient for freshwater fill up. I noticed some sites on J Loop now have electric. These may be the ADA accessible sites mentioned on the website. It was walking distance to the village shops and visitor center. If I could get a more level site I would consider staying again, otherwise I wouldn’t bother. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The view on the way to the park is great, but we couldn't see the mountains from our site. The attendants were nice and let us drive around and pick our site before paying. The road is narrow, especially when the sites are full, but we were able to get through without much of a problem. The sites were level and easy to pull into. They were very private and had nice deep firepits, along with picnic tables at each site. You are able to run your generator from 8am-8pm, which is nice, but also allows for your evenings to be very quiet. Being in the park, access to the scenic routes was easy and we were able to travel during the peak wildlife hours, which was nice. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The good thing about this park is location. It is near Jackson Lake, and close to the many attractions in Grand Teton Park. The campsites are essentially a wide spot on the side of the road, and not particularly attractive. They are easy to get into, even with our 40 foot rig. For some reason many of the sites had a big mud puddle; in our case right where the leveler would go, requiring a leveling board. While adequate, the sites are hardly private, and since everyone seems to run their generator at the same tome, they are a bit noisy. However, as pointed out, in previous reviews, the National Park is the only game in town and for sure, the National Park is wonderful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We love to stay in the national park campgrounds. This one was no exception. Large pull through sites, parallel to the road, and very private. Verizon service was marginal. We were able to get satellite on the north side of the loop. They were doing work on one of the loops and construction started early. Otherwise, great campground. Rate was based on the Golden Age Pass, otherwise $20 per night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Yes, the campground is old and unimproved but the Village setting makes it worth a stay. Easy to walk or bike over to VC, laundry, showers, and marina. Much to do and beautiful view of Tetons, though it was smoky/hazy in August. Also, the Colter Bay area had a water main break so they had to bring in port-potties and water tanker trucks. Really roughing it! Not as crazy busy as Yellowstone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

All side-of-the-road sites that are pull-through. Bathrooms were clean. It was easy to bike to the village to shop and see the visitor center. The ranger program was awesome that we saw, one of the best ever. Site was level and easy to get into and out of. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Like with all NPS campgrounds, great location, but they have the exclusive. This could be a great campground, but in the 40 years I have been coming here, not one improvement has been made. The bathrooms are old, rusted, and should be demolished. The site pullouts were once paved, but that has rotted away to dirt. When it rains, most pullouts flood and it takes days for the water and mud to dry out. The campground is managed by Grand Teton Lodges, and they have some good employees, but the campground just needs a complete overhaul. Too bad. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Planning a 2 night stay, we extended, staying a week. Convenient both to Colter Bay amenities re laundry w/Internet, Convenience Store, and Visitors Center as well as short distance to Jackson Lodge. Full service gas station nearby w/prices lower than West Yellowstone MT. Campsite just off entry had limited view of Teton peaks as did one other entry loop. Despite fully staffed entrance, never saw any employees come through cleaning campsites, however. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Incompetent National Park Service workers at the gate. The line was 20 vehicles long. Blocked the lane for registered campers. When we entered through an exit lane with a "park made sign" they called the Park Rangers and issued us an $85.00 Violations ticket. The park has no hook ups, no cell phone service and the free Wi-Fi is in the stinky laundry room. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Views? None! This campground is like none other run by a government entity that we have visited. The sites aren't nestled in the trees, but line the roads in each loop, and on both sides. The sites are shallow pull throughs, so one is parked end to end along each side of the road. Each site has a fire pit and table, but if you follow the direction signs on the loops, those on the left hand side of each loop have doors opening onto the road. I tried to provide some input as to the type of pad I was looking for, but was chastised for leaving our rig. This campground isn't what we had expected at all, but there isn't much choice in a national Park in the middle of the summer season. We were lucky to get a spot at all! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We actually moved to the no hook-up area after spending one night in the full hook-up for $61.00 and not a great experience. The no frills area had beautiful views and we loved that it was pull outs on the side of the road, so we had a lovely 60' area with no one on either side of us. We were able to have a fire in the ring, which we could not do in full hook-up, too. For the price you could not beat this and we would definitely camp here again. The staff was not knowlegable and that was the only complaint we had, otherwise a great stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What an absolutely beautiful setting. Really nice people and we had plenty of space in our campsite. It was a little bit of a walk to any stores which we were lead to believe were on site. The bathrooms were also really dirty both times we used them. I know that is something that is hard to control sometimes. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice wooded sites a respectable distance from one another, but quite muddy in spots. Bathrooms were extremely dirty. I can't comment on the cleanliness of the showers. I didn't use them because they were a good distance from the campground and coin operated. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Nice campground in Teton National Park. Some sites have no trees while others have nice cottonwoods. All back in sites. Staff was nice but couldn't answer questions about individual sites. Told us to just drive through and look. Be careful, some turns are pretty tight and trees are close to road. Hit one tree in loop C, ouch! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice location for visiting the Tetons & Jackson Hole as it's only a few miles to town. There are 2 dump station holes at the one station site, but one fresh water hook up. The campground is set amongst large cottonwood trees (they were shedding while we were there). The river is very close to the campground, but was running fast and not a likely fishing location. Getting into the GNP was very close by which made for great forays into the park for hiking. We didn't see any moose or elk, but did see buffalo 3 of the 5 days there (they were not in the campground, but not far away). When you go to town you have to visit the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, which is right on the main square, even if you don't drink--great woodwork and saddles at the bar. Some sites are better for views of the Tetons (ours wasn't, but wouldn't discount our rating for the park). Sites were level, but not overly large for parking our tow vehicle. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Like the location of this CG. Had been staying in Gros Ventre CG, but couldn't get into Yellowstone. This was close enough for a couple of days driving back and forth to YNP. The staff was very friendly when checking in. This is close enough to Lake Jackson that you can walk there (about a mile). Saw some people that had been swimming. We got free Wi-Fi at the laundry/shower building just a short drive (or walk) from our campsite. During peak camping season you need to get to this campground early in the morning to get a first-come, first-serve site. Got here about 10 a.m. and had no problem. Liked our site (Loop H, #156). Plenty of room between sites too. Enough dump stations that you don't have to wait, but some days could be busier. Would definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Favorite CG in this park. Wonderful staff, peaceful sites, very clean restrooms. Some flooding in some camping areas due to heavy winter snow and run-off. Moose often in loops, and many noisy teenage kiddie groups. Be sure to avoid them in the Group sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great location. Enjoyed the trees and wildlife. Easy access to campsite. Easy to park in the pull through site. Dump station was clean and easy to use. Garbage disposal was easy to use. Lots of mosquitos though. Campfire smoke was quite heavy in the campground. We would return to this campsite. We camped here in a Motorhome.

In summary, an old campground in a beautiful setting. We got the impression that the absolute minimum maintenance is done here, perhaps due to budget constraints. The restroom in our loop was disgusting - not so much due to human waste but rust, cobwebs full of dead bugs, and peeling paint. It looked like it had been locked up for 20 years. The price is a little high for no services, but it wouldn't hurt to raise it a few dollars and fix the place up, perhaps adding some electrical hookups for a start. On a more positive note it was quite peaceful, the park staff were pleasant and the views of the mountains can't be beat. We would probably try a different campground if passing this way again. This is a review of the Colter Bay Campground, not RV village/Park. We arrived without a reservation and were placed in a nice, generator friendly space. Campground generally filled by late afternoon every day we were there. Note that not all loops allow generator usage. Generator hours are 8am-8pm. Almost all sites in this large campground are 'pull through' along the sides of each loop road, so you may have to enter the 'exit' in order to have your door not face the street. Park personnel friendly, check in efficient, campfires allowed. Park personnel are also VERY bear aware...they will remove ANY items left outside your tent/rig other than a chair or bicycle unless you are present and using them, so the campground looks like everyone is either gone or inside. I guess that's OK. Marginal AT&T cell reception..better at visitor center. Limited Verizon air card and tough to get any satellite shots in the campground due to the large trees..but I guess we really don't go to the Tetons to watch much television anyway. I do question how they measure the length of their sites, as we were told we got one of the 'few' large RV sites, yet when we biked around, there were, in my opinion, dozens of sites capable of handling our 38' fifth wheel and truck. Overall, great location at a fair price for touring the Teton area. A bit of a drive to also tour Yellowstone from there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Basic NPS campground with fire pit and table. Great location in northern part of Grand Tetons and most of the sites I saw were spread out pretty good. We had to go back after getting our assigned spot to ask for a flat one. Many spots in the O loop which are pull through are not flat and the table is up or down a hill. One advantage though is that you can follow a trail right out to Jackson Lake. It was not marked, but it is a clear trail for 75 yards to the beach. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

On a 2-week trip, this area was our favorite and we will definitely camp here again. Abundant wildlife (moose, buffalo, pronghorn), gorgeous views, peace and quiet (in the fall), great location, helpful park employees, and a good value at $20/night. We used a generator during the 8am-8pm hours. The best 'dry camping' spot we have visited. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Colter Bay is stunningly beautiful and that alone is reason enough to stay here. RV campground fully booked so we used their Campground next door for our Eurvan Camper and stayed off the grid for a night. Site was wonderful, level, plenty of space to stretch out. Hiking was wonderful. Fellow campers collegial and wonderful camping etiquette. Bathrooms locally near sites were truly disgusting - Grand Teton Lodge Co should be ashamed, but only used for #2. Shower facilities, a hike away at the laundromat, were clean and excellent but charged for use. Supermarket super convenient on property. Avoid Ranch Lodge restaurant -- poor value, poor food prep, lots of complaints. Hopefully they will do better next year. Would and will stay there again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Pull-throughs are along the road, easy to get into, but close to the road. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. We had to use 2 blocks to level the side. Restrooms are older, but have flush toilets. There is a place to dump dish water, but not to wash dishes. Verizon cell signal was poor, but good about a mile up the road at the gas station. Our Sprint mobile broadband card worked well. We stayed in the K-loop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Not our favorite national park campground. Don't care for these type of pull through setups. The sites are all pull throughs along the road. The road looks very crowed when the loop is full. I could not imagine being here in July with all sites full. It's pluses are: close to visitor center, restaurants, groceries, and the lake. We would probably stay again as we have a 35' MH and need the longer spaces. In all fairness, the campground may have been more appealing if it hadn't been raining so much. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground that is a lot like a National Forest campground: spacious sites, lots of trees. The sites are pull-offs on the side of the road. Cool and very private. We had a picnic table and a fire ring. We also had a mother and two mule deer fawns come and visit several times. It's very pleasant here. We would stay again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice campground in a heavily treed area within walking distance of Jackson Lake. Staff was very friendly and efficient and the campground was clean and reasonably well maintained. Loop-style layout offers good privacy and almost all sites are pull-through. A little tight for a 20' truck pulling a 27' trailer though. Generators are allowed on certain loops so be sure to state your preference at check-in. There are no hook-ups anywhere in the campground but there's an RV park right next door that offers full hook-ups for ~$55/night. The campground is first-come, first-served only and was full by 1:00 on the Monday we were here. Nice campground in a beautiful setting. Well worth the $20. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Price is based on special senior rate. Staff was very nice when we asked to switch from our initial assigned site due to low tree branches getting hung up in our camper. Restrooms were clean but dated and not as nice as the ones in Yellowstone. They do have a wash basin but you cannot clean dishes here. Did get cell phone service in this area. Lets just start by saying this is a place we will return to. This is the kind of place that inspires. We have backpacked through most of the national parks and usually you need to get deep in the wilderness for these kind of views. It feels a lot like cheating, but hey, sometimes it is nice to have your cushy RV bed, coffee, and gorgeous scenery all at once. If you are looking for a good RV experience with peace, scenery, Wi-Fi, and a grocery store, I’d suggest the Colter Bay Campground. It is a great place to have a cup of coffee and ponder life. There are 2 campgrounds here. A private one that runs about $50/ night for all the bells and whistles and the National Park one which is $20/night, no hook ups. We chose the National Park one. We have a solar panel that kept the batteries running and made for a nice time. The sites are big and nicely wooded. It is a lot quieter in the farther down loops. The Colter Bay village is nuts; cars, RV’s, people everywhere. We would go down to the Cabin Office everyday to use the internet, then retreat to our site for peace and quiet. It is hard to believe the circus in the village is only 1/2 mile from the peace of our site. A little tip for you internet workers. There is a guest lounge for the Cabins farther down the cabin roads with more reliable internet, less people, more room, and nice couches. They were happy to share space with the RV campers. You don’t have to be a guest in the cabins. The best part of this campground was being able to walk down the trail to one of the most beautiful spots on earth. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would have given this CG a lower rating if it weren’t for the $10 price for Golden Age Pass holders. The volunteers who work at check-in were great. Sites are side-ways pull-thrus in loops off main entrance near trees with fire pit and table. Separate camping loops for tents, RV with generators and RV without generators. Some campers ran their generators for hours so they could watch TV. Each loop has it’s own restroom. We camped in loop “K” where the restroom was old, dirty, & full of bugs with a constantly wet floor from a leaking toilet that was marked “out of order”. Showers are available at the nearby RV park for $. Ask for a family group discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large, old Park Service campground with a picnic table and fire ring at each site as the only amenities. There are multiple one-way loops, some designated as non-generator, with pull-offs on both sides of the loop roads as sites. Generator hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sites at the lower end of the loops can be damp or flooded. Sites are generally large, but some of the pull-offs can be too short for longer rigs. The restrooms were old, cold, wet, poorly lit and badly in need of painting. (The same design restrooms up in Yellowstone NP were much better maintained). There are no showers, but there are public pay showers available in the main Colter Bay area. We stayed here for four nights while touring Grand Teton NP. Recognizing that this is a drycamping facility, our experience was good. Only the restrooms were below par. The price reflects the 50% senior discount. We would stay here again. This is a big campground, but the sites are all set up in smaller loops, so you have some sense of privacy. We stayed in a "no generator" loop, which was a nice option to have. Most sites were pull throughs, though a few were back-in. For a campground this size, there were limited water faucets and dump stations, but otherwise it was well laid out. Lots of trees, and many daytime and evening programs. The campground is also close to a surprisingly well-stocked store. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

$10 is the Senior Pass daily rate, otherwise $20. Boondocked here for 3 nights. We were in site #C-132, just long enough for a 40' motorhome and car. There are several loops which allow generators from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Since it doesn't get dark until 8:30 p.m., on their evaluation card, I suggested increasing generator hours to 10 p.m. I was told, several customers requested the same. DirecTV Satellite, Verizon cell and air card worked. Quiet, secluded park with friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were in K loop where there are no hookups. The spaces are small and close together but with the trees between them, it gave us adequate privacy when we sat at the picnic table. There were three stalls in the women's bathroom but one was out of order and one looked more like a urinal for men. They were clean though. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a large campground located in a stand of cottonwood trees that provide shade for some sites. Although we expected to find no electric, water or sewer at the sites we were disappointed with the overall condition of the campground. It looks like little has been done in the way of maintaining this campground. Many of the sites are short and will not accommodate today’s larger RVs. Without changing the primitive nature of this campground, the sites could be made larger and more level. The dump site is in poor condition. There are potholes around the small cement aprons at the two dump stations. The holes are full of spilled sewage. The dump site should be rebuilt. On the good side, this was a quiet and peaceful place to camp. However, next time we will try another campground in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our first experience at dry camping, and we survived. We were assigned a site in the generator area and thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of the site. You park along the side of the road, and we had to work at getting over far enough to allow our slides to come out without being in the street. However, the camping area was huge and heavily wooded. Campfires are allowed and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening staring at the flames. The only thing that would have made this better is if the sites had been on the lake. There is a full hookup area which goes for $50+ a night, but it wasn't worth it to us for just a few nights. The scenery of the Tetons is unbelievable and something we will never forget. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We "roughed" here for 2 nights to explore the Tetons. The sites do not have hookups but we were able to make the battery last long enough. Stay as far as you can to the east for the best views of the mountains. Some of the sites are pretty rough and unlevel but I would not have traded my 2 nights here for anything. It is what I dreamed of when planning my Yellowstone trip. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent 5 nights here and enjoyed our stay. It was our first attempt at dry camping on this trip and it went pretty well. The sites all are w/out on-site W & E, but they are large and pretty private. They have generator and non-generator loops, which is nice. There are trails down to beautiful Lake Jackson, as well as into the village. The staff was helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on three different occasions between the end of May and mid-June. Our longest stretch was four nights and five days. It was amazing to view the Grand Tetons at all times of the day. The wildlife varied from moose, bison, a Great Horned owl raising two chicks, blue grouse and ground squirrels, just to name a few. The generator hours were from 8am to 8pm which was actually quite nice in the evenings, even if it did get a bit chilly for this Texas girl. We plan to camp here again as soon as we can make it back. Both our Verizon and Sprint aircards worked moderately well and our AT&T cell phones had almost full bars. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent dry campground if your choose your site carefully. Campfires are allowed as well as generators between 8 and 8. Sites are roomy, tree covered, and fairly private. We have been camping here for over 30 years and love it. Fantastic fishing in Jackson Lake. Our average trout size was 17". Never failed to limit. Usually ended up feeding our neighbors! A great place for the family. Real camping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Absolutely beautiful campground! Tons of room, beautiful forest with great fall colors. Lots of wildlife in the area, and off the beaten track. There were very few other people when we went there last fall as the colors were changing. Restrooms were kept clean, staff was friendly and good location, while slightly out of the way was more of a plus due to the quietness. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not our favorite CG in the park. The sites are too close together and at night you're choking on wood smoke from campfires. It makes it hard to deal with when you're motorhome has to be closed up and it's very warm out. Wish they had campfire free loops in the park. The Teton's are probably our favorite National Park. You can see as many animals here as you can see in Yellowstone without dealing with the crowds. The grocery store is well stocked and they have a very large gift store with camping needs, clothing and curios. Would we stay here again? Probably as this is the only campground that our coach can fit in besides Gros Ventre (which is our favorite CG) and it's closer to Jackson so there's a lot of driving involved when sightseeing near the Colter Bay area. I've noticed that the fuel prices aren't hiked up either which is nice. Propane is also available in Colter Bay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent the 4th of July weekend here (we're still here) and really enjoyed ourselves. The wildflowers were outrageous and the weather was perfect. If you're looking for amenities then this might not be for you. But, if you're looking for beauty and wildlife with quiet nights this may just fit the bill. There are numerous camping loops, some are generator free which is great for the tenter's. A Loop can fit bigger rigs although each loop has a couple of sites that you should be able to fit into. Cellphone service was iffy, but my Aircard with the booster worked fine (Verizon). Drinking water is located across from the park office along with 2 dump stations. There is no water inside the campground so fill up before you come in. Our site was level with gravel/old pavement. The interior loops are all paved but could use some patching. One bit of advice. If you put your awning out and plan on leaving to sightsee, bring it back in. The weather can change within minutes. The old saying "bored with the weather? Wait 10 minutes." This is true and when a thunderstorm blows through it can rip your awing and bend the braces. This is our second stay in this campground and we love it. On some mornings you can spot Mom moose and her twins. They are now almost as big as their mother. E Loop is closed to campers right now and that's where we've been watching the twins graze with their mom. Truly a wonderful campground! We used our Golden Age passport for 1/2 off. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This CG in Grand Teton NP is operated by a concessionaire. The staff is friendly and helpful about area sights and things to do. It is a large campground with one dump station and one potable water station, so plan ahead before setting up. Bicycles are an excellent way of moving about in the CG because of the level terrain. The sites are small, and to make matters worse, they are poorly kept. Gravel at the sites needs to be swept away. There is a wild rose that was allowed to grow right up to the edge of the pavement. A bit of mowing would be nice. Oddly placed wood pole barricades created great tripping points. Bathrooms were clean, but sometimes far away. Birdlife was abundant, and we observed a cow moose with twins grazing in the group area, a real treat on our bike ride. Views of the Tetons are somewhat obstructed by a butte. This place is VERY quiet and dark at night, and the star gazing is outstanding. We would definitely camp here again, and perhaps try to sell the concession company a lawnmower and string trimmer! Ha. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a National Park campground, designed 50 years ago for tenting. All sites have lots of trees, picnic tables, and grills. Comfort Stations (toilets) a usually a short walk away. Showers are back at the village laundry center and cost $3.50. Most of the sites I saw were pull throughs, but there were a few back in sites. The pull through sites are curved and can be quite tight for big rigs, particularly 5th wheel trailer. You will be parallel to the loop road. The sites are fairly level but expect to use a board or two under the tires. Generator hours are 8am to 8pm but expect someone nearby to not know or not care about the restricted generator hours. If you want to run a generator be sure to ask for a generator site, as the loop I was on was a generator loop but some sites were posted "no generators". The RV Park next door was full every night, but this campground never filled up, but came close. This campground is first come first serve. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a National Park Service campground in the Colter Bay area of Grand Tetons National Park. It requires dry-camping, but is most lovely, peaceful and secluded. Never fills up, but it is on a first-come, first served basis. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed it immensely...looking forward to going back!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This listing needs a clarification. There are two completely different sections at Colter Bay, one with hookups and one without. The area without hookups is what I'll discuss. They allow generators between 8am and 8pm, and the sites are very large, easy to get into, and very clean. The sites are mostly pull throughs, and some are more level than others. well maintained, very clean throughout, nice little store nearby. The only complaint/issue is that they only have one dump station, not well placed, for 200 campsites. The morning I left,I was third in line to dump. The previous morning, there were 10 people in line. We did drive through the campground section that had hookups, and it's not bad, but not nearly as nice or as spread out as the section without hookups. If you can do without the connections for a few days, the no hookup section is far nicer. We ended up staying for 6 days, and dumped once in the middle, and once at the end. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This great park at the northern end of Teton NP. It's on the same grounds as the visitor center and marina. There is also a restaurant, well stocked grocery store, laundromat, and gas station. I had some equipment problems, and the staff here were very helpful in working with me. This park should be a model for the NPS to create similar facilities in all the national parks. Am a bit late posting. We stayed here at the end of August, had a wonderful time. We even extended our stay an extra day. Fishing, with Phil, was great fun. We had our own kayaks so went out on the lake every day. The dogs also had a lovely time, not least owing to their fascination with golden mantle ground squirrels - who they watched for hours. We shopped at all the stores - surprisingly good grocery selection and fair prices. Will definitely go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground right next to Jackson Lake and the Grand Tetons. Sites are dirt, and ours was reasonably level. Lots of trees so no satellite, but some local channels with antenna. We went for the natural beauty and siteseeing, so tv did not matter. There is a general store and restaurants on site, and the GS does fresh rolls, donuts, bread etc in the morning. Went there at 7:30am and the rolls were still warm, and were good. Food at the restaurants was good and reasonably priced. A few miles up the road is Leeks Marina which has a good pizza restaurant and is very family oriented. We had an end site with a path behind us to the lake, site 110. Reasonable amount of room between sites. Loved this park, and would stay here again if we visit the Tetons. About a 35 to 45 minute drive up to Yellowstone depending on how many stops you make. We spent most of our time looking around the Tetons and drove up to Yellowstone twice. This is a great time of year, late August, to visit the parks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved the atmosphere at this park. Although it reminded us of the rustic campgrounds of our youth we had full hook-ups for our rig. A somewhat difficult campground to review fairly. The scenery is a “10” with the mountains and the waterways and all the animals that you can see. The resort itself is a “9” featuring a grocery store, restaurant, a visitor center, marina, boat cruises, rentals for bikes and other water craft plus hiking trails. The sites themselves leave a lot to be desired. All could use a truck load of gravel to get them level. All pull through but cannot leave the tow hooked up. In their present state I would not like to be here in a rain storm it would be very muddy mess! Satellite reception is impossible with a heavy tree canopy. Use caution coming in some low branches lot of trees on each side of the sites. So I can only rate the site a 7. Others seem to rate the cg higher but they need to open their eyes and rate the camp site itself and not the beauty around it This is a commercial run “resort” at $55 per night that needs improvement and with no cable, no Wi-Fi other than in a area by the main building and unlevel sites. If this was in another “resort” campground other than a National Park everyone’s rating would be much lower with a lot of griping. Would I come back here again: yes hopefully with improved sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this park. Checking was quick and the staff was super. The park is a little tight, but that did not present a problem. The sites are long, wide, and level with plenty of shade. Cell phone and satellite TV were hard to get. Wi-Fi is available at several locations, but it appears the park shuts it off at night. The laundry is extra large and clean. Showers are "pay for" in the laundry building. The park has a marina, a restaurant & grill, and a well stocked general store. There is also a service station at the entrance to the park. The higher cost is worth the price and we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow! Grand Teton National Park is stunning. Being able to stay right in the park and right near Lake Jackson makes Colter Bay Village RV Park the best choice for exploring GTNP. Our site was about 150 feet from the shore of Lake Jackson. The park itself is a little tight. The sites are narrow and the trees hang very low. We have a 38 foot Montana 5th wheel so there were some "pucker" moments getting into and out of our site. We have 4 slides on our camper and it took some maneuvering to be able to open all 4 of them and not hit a tree. Water pressure and electricity were fine and it was great having a sewer hookup as well. There is Wi-Fi but only at the entrance to the campground and next door at the shopping / wash house. The people were extremely nice and helpful. We stayed 4 nights there and would not hesitate to stay again. Great place - great location - great experience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park is owned and operated by the Park Service. With my 40' RV things were tight. I was unable to get my awnings out. They need to do some tree trimmings for several of the sites, if not all. For the high price we thought this campground was just okay. The sewer was actually uphill from our site, which could really cause problems. The views from the lake are gorgeous and the camp store was very nice with groceries even reasonably priced. There was a $3.75 charge for the shower, which we thought was outrageous when you have paid $61.00 to use the water anyway. What difference did it make whether we used it in our motorhome or in their shower! The only other complaint is that the staff seemed either disinterested or ignorant when we asked about hooking up the the Wi-Fi, charge for the shower and other seemingly normal questions. This was an excellent campground for viewing the Grand Tetons. A short stroll to the lake will give you some fantastic views. The sites are gravel and may take a small effort to level. Sites are a little narrow and not totally level but acceptable. Hookups were good. The biggest plus to the RV park is the location. A 5 minute walk to beautiful view of Jackson Lake and the Tetons. On-site Ranch House restaurant is excellent. Gift shop and fully equipped grocery store is on location. Wi-Fi was not available at our site, but the laundry room does have access. My MiFi was spotty reception at best. Staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great for touring the Grand Tetons plus only 24 miles from Yellowstone. We stayed 11 days and toured both parks from the same location. If in the area, we would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The restaurant was fairly priced, and the food was good. The grocery store was larger than I expected, with a very good variety, including fresh meats. The National Park is beautiful but this RV park was a disappointment. You are in the middle of the Park but the sites are tight, most are unlevel and the amenities are minimal. Showers are open to the public, far from the campsites and you have to pay $3.75 per person per shower! This is unreasonable after paying $50/night. No Wi-Fi or cell phone coverage either. The staff was friendly though. Seems like this site is made for the big rigs that are totally self-contained and aren't looking for privacy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This place was great! Set nestled in the trees, it felt more like a conventional campground rather than an RV park. All the spaces are long pull-throughs, and even with a 28' trailer hitched up to a Ford Expedition, it was easy to get into our spot. There was some leveling needed, a couple of those plastic "lego" leveling blocks under one side's wheels for the side to side leveling, and a good size stack of them under the jack for the front-to-back leveling, but once that was done, everything was great. Easy to walk to the store, lake and Visitor's Center, and central to the touring we did in the Park. It is true that there is no Wi-Fi, but we knew that going in. The Verizon signal was pretty good, so I was able to connect using my Verizon data card and get Internet access. Having full hook-ups negated the need to use the showers there, which I understand are fairly pricey. The store had a good selection of gifts and assorted items, and the grocery portion was well stocked and the prices fairly reasonable, considering the location (and what they could have charged). Gas was high at $4.10/gallon for the mid-grade stuff! The hosts were very nice when we checked in. They gave us the rundown as to where the latest bear sightings were! We were there around noon and there was no issue with us being there before 2:00. The "Campground Full" sign was up, and it did appear to be so every night. All in all it was a great place to spend the 3 nights we did there. If you are lucky enough to be at the far end of the campground (we were not, we were closer to the front), there are several trails that go out to a beautiful "beach" (actually small diameter river rock instead of sand). We walked down with our chairs, a cold drink and our books and sat on the beach with the gorgeous view of the Tetons... life could not get much better. Just to be fair, the only reason I gave this place a 9 instead of a 10 was the leveling required. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a nice park and the only game in town. The price was high, but the park was full every night. Our site was fairly flat and we had to do some adjustments. We had FHU with 50 amp. Very nice campground with lots of trees. Lots of shade from the trees, and a short walk to the lake gets you great views of the Tetons. We had no problems getting our 38' fifth wheel in and out, but some of the turns were pretty tight. Grocery store, gift shop, visitor center, marina, laundry, etc are all a short walk away. Wi-Fi is available at the laundromat. Park was very quiet at night, and very enjoyable all the way around. We'd love to go back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Colter Bay Village RV Park! Nice wooded sites, good full hookups, and very close proximity to the visitor center, marina, and shops. No Wi-Fii and very limited AT&T phone reception in the campground. Wi-Fi is available at the stores and laundromat. Mosquitos were pretty bad, so bring good spray. Sites were level and fairly spacious, with the end spaces having the most room. No fires allowed. Lots of paths for walking and the views of the Tetons are fantastic! This is like building a $50,000 house in Belair ... Spectacular scenery is just a short walk away but this CG provides nothing but a space and S/W/E. It would seem to me they could offer better accommodations and should start with an attempt to level the sites. I had my jacks all the way down in front and still couldn't get to level. I guess you just have to take into account you are getting a place to park your RV in an area that is nothing short of spectacular. If this CG were anywhere else it would get an 'F"! I can't believe some reviewers downgraded this park because it doesn't have antenna TV reception or Wi-Fi! This is one of the most magnificent national parks in the country. If you want a KOA or Jellystone Park don't stay here. The campground roads are a bit narrow, but we managed them quite well in a 40 foot motorhome. The sites are shaded and reasonably private. We were able to level our coach without difficulty. There is marginal Verizon cell service, but with an external antenna and amplifier we were able to get usable internet access. We even managed to get satellite TV reception, but only in standard definition, not HD (trees can be a real nuisance). From the campground the visitor center, amphitheater, the lake/beach area, and convenience store are all a short walk away. The price shown reflects use of the federal senior discount pass. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We would "shop around" before staying here again. The park roads are thin; hanging branches will hit tops of high RV's; and a check-in time of 2:00 will be a problem for some. There are showers, but most will need to drive to them. There were a few mosquito's, no cell, no antenna TV and no Wi-Fi. However, it is only a 300-400 yard walk to the edge of the good (Snake) river-side picnic area with swimming and good view of the mountains. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at Colter Bay RV village for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We read many reviews about how uneven the sites were but did not have any problem at all getting level. There were some spots in the first 4 or 5 loops that were larger sites. We had a fairly tight spot but was able to put out our slide and awning with no problem at all. We did have to put our screen tent up next to the trailer under the awning but that wasn't a bad thing because it was right here when we came out of the trailer. We were within walking distance to the beach, convenience store and laundromat. The convenience store was well stocked and fairly reasonably priced for being in a national park. The did have the best raspberry cinnamon rolls ever. The staff was great and told us everything we needed to know upon arrival. When my brother, who was camping in the site next to us, had a problem, they were here immediately and got it taken care of. The Wi-Fi is available only at the laundromat and was very slow, reminded me of dial-up. There was so much to do right around the RV village that you wouldn't have to leave at at all. Horseback riding, sailing, motor boat rental, gift shops, restaurants, convenience store, museums, etc. We used this as a base camp to see the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and really loved it. We will certainly be back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is the only campground in Grand Teton NP that has full hookups. You are within walking distance of the Colter Bay Visitor Center, General Store, laundry, gas station, restaurants and Colter Bay Marina. View of Tetons from lake is spectacular. The General Store is big and has everything you need. Prices are reasonable, too. Roads are paved and sites are dirt. They have long pull through sites. The sites are not level so bring leveling blocks. Since the campground has a lot of pine trees, there is little sun. It is close to the water; the campground is infested with mosquitoes. You need to spray yourself often if you plan to spend time outdoors. The other negatives are no cable, no Wi-Fi, and no campfires. BBQ grills can’t be left unattended because of a heavy bear population. You have to clean your grill and put it away as soon as you’re done with it. Our Verizon cell phone worked fine. Our site was near the beach and we were able to get satellite. Other sites could not get reception. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Would have rated a 10 except the sites need leveling. I understand leaving things natural and they have done a great job with that but the sites are cleared and should be leveled. Having said that the campground is well laid out and you are not looking into your neighbors windows. We were close to the short trail to Jackson Lake and the majestic Teton Range a wonderful way to spend a few hours. The Colter Bay Visitors Center has an amazing Indian exhibit. There is Wi-Fi at a couple locations but no cell service so no Wi-Fi at our camp. Loved it here, would definitely stay here again. Jackson Lake is the best part! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A short walk from the campground brings you to one of the most awe inspiring sights I have ever viewed. This is after seeing Alaska last year! Incredible. I had a slight difficulty getting into my pull thru site. I have a 45 foot long rig and it takes real careful driving to get through the park. No paving except the entrance road. Then it is dirt. This is probably the best campground I've stayed at in a National Park. You're a very easy walk to the lake with a great view of the Tetons. There is fuel and general store very close. The store has great fresh baked cinnamon rolls in the morning. Verizon works well - AT&T no so much. There are some Wi-Fi hot spots near the store and restaurant. Caveats: bring leveling blocks many of the sites are on a grade, you are in the woods and on some sites trees are very close (couldn't lower my awning, also bring doors mats so you wont bring pine needles etc into your rig. Here is the only campground in this National Park with full hook-ups. It stays completely full during the majority of the summer season, so reservations are essential. There are huge trees throughout the park, so your satellite reception will be minimal. The park is within walking distance of the visitor center for Colter Bay, restaurants, a good sized general store, laundromat with free WiFi and gift shops. A generous variety of ranger-led programs and hikes will provide plenty to do. The lake and marina are within walking distance as well. We stayed at the end of the season and the park was only half full. This is a large RV park but you would never know it because of all the trees. Interior roads are paved, sites are dirt. Sites are all pull-through many with room for big rigs. Hookups were good, no WiFi in the park, the hot spots were at the restaurant and store. Cell reception can be an issue around the park. Easy walk to the store, laundry, restaurant, visitor center, and the lake. 1 hour drive to Jackson. Be sure to drive the park road north of the park. Just a beautiful setting. Would stay here again. Stayed here for a week and would go back in a heartbeat. The only negative was that our site 66 was a little unlevel. The park was clean and quiet with a friendly staff. The restaurants in the area are pricey so you may want to bring groceries. Park is well located for visiting the Tetons and Yellowstone. You may want to allow extra days to acclimate to the altitude. One of our all-time favorite parks. The camp is quiet, has beautiful thickly-treed sites, and is just a short stroll to grocery and camping stores, a nice restaurant, the NPS visitor center, and an outstanding view of the Tetons. Very pet-friendly. No Wi-Fi at the camp, but Verizon voice and 3G service was mostly reliable. Too many trees for satellite service at our site, but I'll take trees over TV anytime. As someone else mentioned, the little pieces of pine needles do tend to get tracked in, but a little extra vacuuming took care of that. We'll definitely stay here again. We weren't ask excited about this RV park as others. Full hook-ups are great, as is the location in the park and the view of the mountains from the rocky beach, but the park doesn't offer much else. Tall pine trees block out much of the sun and drop all over your rig and car. Trees also mean no view of the mountains or lake from any site. Any dampness at all makes it difficult to keep needles and other tree debris out of your rig. The dirt sites are close together, not level, and have very little screening in spite of all the tree trunks. Due to trees our site was very narrow and difficult to enter. Services at Colter Bay "village" are good but expensive. Nice to be at a place where there is no road noise, and other campers were quiet for the most part. Verizon cell phone was one bar, air card worked slowly. No TV reception at all, so cable or SATV at sites would be a big plus. In spite of our negative comments, would stay again because it's the only place in the area with full hook-ups. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We arrived on a Sunday and check-in was quick and easy. Access to the pull-through site was the easiest we've encountered and required only a bit of lift on the trailer door side to level, although the sewer opening is darn near uphill. Otherwise, it's very nice for a park this size. Tons of shade, plenty of space for the largest RVs. Our water system was down on arrival, so we used the $2.75 showers, which were satisfactory. The clothing shop, grocery store and laundry are quite nice. AT&T cellular service can be had only at the hilltop by the tent sites. Dinner cruises (raft or lake) reservations must be made by 1 p.m. Tonight is our fourth and last night and we'd return again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The check-in staff was "disinterested" in us but, it was done efficiently, just was a bad first impression. Most spots looked reasonably level. The nearby store was very well stocked. Lake cruise, $26 well spent. Dinner Cruise was sold out. Forgot the price. Breakfast cruise was $36 but was 7:15am, yuck! The hookups all worked well, welcome after boondocking the week prior. Very nice setting. This is right in the National Park and very nice amenities around. The grocery store/Gift shop was excellent. Better grocery store than some small towns have! Grocery store includes ice cream shop as an added bonus. We stayed in one of the loops in the higher numbers. This will put you closer to the lake. In the morning, a walk to the lake to take pictures was welcomed by a Momma Moose and baby hanging out by the lake. Made for great photos. The Marina is nearby and would recommend a lake cruise. We stayed in a pull-through site with full hook-ups. Check-in was quick and easy. Not a lot room between sites but all have some trees which helps give the impression of more space. Campground was full but we didn't spend a lot of time here during the day. A bathroom was close but not very clean. They could be updated. Pay showers and laundry were located at the grocery store/gift shop. Both were clean. The stores were very nice and well stocked. There was also a nice visitor's center and marina. Overall it was a great location for visiting the park. We went to the Mural Room for an outstanding dinner one night at the Jackson Lodge. Highly recommended for the food, service and view. This RV park gets great ratings for the setting; it's just steps to see the fabulous Grand Tetons over Jackson Lake. Tall trees and the smell of pine make it a great way to start your morning with a cup of coffee. The downside was we got a call halfway through a 6 hour hike that we had parked in the wrong spot and needed to move because someone was waiting. Turns out they put the wrong directions and lot number on the map they gave us. We had to rush back and unhook, move and set back up again. Not what we wanted to do after a long hike. And we were unhappily surprised when we went for a shower that we had to pay $4 each. I couldn't find that anywhere on the website, but maybe it's standard in a national park. Stunning views of the Mount Moran and the Grand Teton are foot steps from the site. Full hookups were great. Site was fairly level, had to use a 2x6 on one side. Despite the area getting a lot of rain, the park was very clean. This area is a good base for getting any where in the Grand Tetons or to Jackson. This is the Senior Pass rate. We stayed here for 14 days and had previously stayed here. They have removed trees and limbs making it easy to get in and out of the sites even with our 38 foot motor home. When checking in I was told that if there were any limbs that we felt would rub on any one of our four slide outs to come and tell them, and they would come and remove them. The 50 amp power was good the entire stay. We have a Verizon internet card and it worked 95% of the time from our site. It is great to have this quality campground in a National Park. An expensive option but if full hook ups are the goal, this is the only option. Price quoted is with senior pass. The sites are wooded, generally unlevel, lack any communications capabilities and showers are a bit of walk and cost $3.50. Having said all that, the location near Jackson Lake is a winner and all amenities are close by. The sites are partially graveled pull-thrus of varying quality. This is basically your typical National park campground but with hook-ups. Tough to be too critical when the surroundings are so wonderful and there is so much to do so just whip out that credit card, grin and bear it and figure that's the price for the concessionaire to provide the space for a May - September season. We do not often get to camp in state or federal campgrounds because we have a large motorhome, but Colter Bay RV Park has sites that will accommodate big rigs! The sites are gravel, full hookups and picnic tables. No fire rings. A great way to experience the Tetons. Store, gift shop, laundry, marina, Jackson Lake and all of the beautiful Teton views were within walking distance. We will come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our site was very level: we hardly had to do any leveling. The sites are not that close together and we had plenty of room to maneuver through the roads to our site. We had no problems with the turns or the trees with our Ford F-350 quad-cab truck and 38-foot 5th wheel. We were not far at all from the lake. The park was very quiet. The animals do come into the campsites. We had a beautiful deer in ours this morning. We have seen the largest of motorhomes and 5th wheels here and I doubt they had any problems getting into their sites. Their are 2 or 3 areas to this park. We are in the full-hookup area but their is also a "no hook up" area that did look like the sites were close together and the pull-through sites were very narrow and curved. If you are looking for full-hookups with pull through sites this park is fantastic. There's a little issue with getting a satellite signal because there's a lot of trees, but we were able to get ours to work. Had a 2-bar signal on my cell and was able to connect to the internet with a Verizon air card. This area is absolutely beautiful, we love it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A very nice wooded campground. All the sites were pull-throughs. The sites seemed a little tight for many of the motorhomes ( I saw a few that could not extend their awnings and their slide-outs were up against the trees), but we had plenty of room for our large tent trailer. We were in the first loop which had us conveniently close to the well-stocked grocery store, clean bathrooms, and a large laundry. The Jackson Lake marina
was a short walk from the campground as was the Visitor Center and restaurant. You can't have a campfire, nor are you suppose to do any outdoor cooking (because of the bears, which we never saw or heard the whole trip). We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it very much. I've seen some comments on this park, especially about the price. This is the most beautiful setting we have ever been. The panorama is astonishing. The setting is almost magical. The minute we got there we really could not care less on how much it cost. We realized immediately we were providing our family with an opportunity of a lifetime. Fantastic place. We had a pull along site for our 35' trailer and we had plenty of room. The trees gave us plenty of shade and we actually had a fair bit of privacy too. Loved being able to walk down to the marina, visitors center, store etc and being minutes away from the most amazing view made this one of our favorite campsites to date! The greatest selling point of this RV Park is its location. It is a rarity to find full hookups inside a National Park. And for that reason (location), it is in high demand. They know it too, as evidenced by the price. We suggest you make reservations well in advance. It was completely full for the entire time we were there. The location is close to the visitors center and the amphitheater (in which there were nice nightly ranger-led programs on various topics). It is also close to the general store and some restaurants. Showers were available for a fee. The sites were packed pretty close together, but we found it amazingly quiet. Our site was somewhat out of level, so it took some effort getting level. This was just a wonderful campground, with plenty of room, a level site, and lots of trees providing shade and quiet. There is a small shopping area just outside of the campground area and only 50 meters, or so, from where we were parked. Also down the road was a Ranger station and visitors center, as well as the marina for Colter Bay and Jackson Lake where you can rent canoes, boats, etc. Plenty of trails in the area. We didn't use the showers or bathrooms at the campground, so we have no comments on them. The staff at the registration office were very friendly, helpful, and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. There is a regional shuttle bus run by the Colter Bay Company that travels four times each day between the two of Jackson and Colter Bay, with stops in between at Jackson Lake Lodge, and Jenny Lake Lodge (where we stopped to have a fantastic gourmet dinner the night before we left). I would give the campground a perfect 10, however, there was no WiFi, or other electronics communications available. Nevertheless, we will ensure that this campground is on our itinerary for years to come. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really liked all of the trees, although it feels tight, it was spacious enough for our big rig (37') plus trailer (20') and rental car. Our only issue with the site was the hookups were toward the rear of the pull through so in order to get our trailer in our site, we had to use an extension to make the sewer hose reach. We were prepared to go to the cabin office for internet access and were surprised when our Verizon aircard worked moderately well. The store was stocked with the essentials - especially the ice cream. Laundry facility was clean and bright. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is the most expensive park I have stayed in and the worse one yet. The sites were very close together. The limbs from the trees scratched the sides of our trailer, and rubbed the top of it. We had to back out of our site to leave because there was a tree (that looked like had been hit numerous times) that was sticking out too far and we couldn't make the turn. The sites were very unlevel. We almost didn't have enough blocks to raise the front of the trailer. To top it all off you had to pay to use the showers. With the high rate you would think that would be free. The gift shop was nice and the staff friendly. Thats about the only nice thing I can say about this park. I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Hard to give a good rating to a campground that charges $45 a night for a site and then says if you want to take a shower it is $3.50 extra! This is a full hook up campground right between Jackson Hole and Yellowstone in the Grand Teton National Park. I was here early in the season and the park was not too full and we had a great site. No neighbor to one side. The roads into the sites are paved, but a bit narrow. If everyone does not get totally out of the road it can be quite a squeeze getting by. Site are fairly level, but just dirt. You can get wi-fi at the cabin office, but cell reception is off and on. Very convenient location for touring both parks and there are a lot of activities, a store, a couple of places to eat, a marina and nice laundry facility. Best place around for touring the parks. I would stay again We camped here in a Motorhome.

There were no bear boxes at the campsites so we had to take our ice chest, and other items up to the office and use their bear box. The highlights - great location, full hook-ups, clean facilities, beautiful scenery. The downsides - PRICE! Very pricey for unlevel sites and showers are an additional $3.50 each. However, you are paying for location which cant be beat. Very close to the lake, store, Jackson Lodge, all of the Grand Teton visitor centers, and Jackson Hole. We really enjoyed this place and extended our stay by 5 days. The spots are not level, but we were able to work it out with our stabilizers. There are lots of trees and a large rig with slide outs might have to maneuver more than we had to. You can't beat the view of the Tetons from across the road and there is so much to do in the park, this was a good central point. We did not get any satellite reception - but the scenery was so stunning we spent most of the time exploring. I would imagine this place is a zoo in the summer but very peaceful in mid September. I'm afraid I'm not as enamored with this park as others; perhaps because the park is not particularly big-rig friendly. After waiting in line for 30 minutes while two inconsiderate motorhomers disconnected their tows (yes, while in line and after checking in), we pulled into our site, which was downhill and tight because of trees and untrimmed branches. It was necessary to disconnect the tow, then back up to the rear of the site to get fairly level and avoid trees for the slide outs. Hookups were OK, but no satellite due to trees. It's the only hookup location in the area, but even then $52 a night is too steep for what your get. We'll try somewhere else if we return to the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice campground with enough room to get slides and awning out. Sites were far from being level but workable. Our site was a short walk to the lake which was nice. No problems with the electricity, water or sewer. Extremely pricey but it has the best location in the Tetons. Cell phone signal was very weak but was able to use our antenna for my computers Aircard (Verizon). Dome satellite wouldn't work here so used our portable dish and that worked just fine. They do NOT allow campfires here so you won't be choking on your neighbors smoke!! Use your Golden Age Pass if you have one for a discount. This is a very large park, which is full most of the summer. However, it is very quiet. The spaces are adequate size, but none seem to be level – some are almost hill-like. The RV park is very close to the Colter Bay Visitors Center in the Grand Teton National Park. The Center has a very nice Indian craft museum plus the usual ranger programs. Showers are not included, and are located near the RV park office. Restrooms are clean and convenient, with several located around the park. The park is in a heavily wooded pine forest, and sites are close but not excessively so. There is no cable TV or wi-fi, and satellite dish access is problematic due to all of the trees. A very few sites might have a clear shot at the southern sky, but not many. Our Verizon cell phone access was marginal, but the cell phone's broadband was better. The park is about an hour's drive to Jackson where fuel prices are significantly lower than the "convenience store" at the entrance to the RV park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Howdy Neighbor. What a park. One of the other reviews said that there are plenty of spaces and that just ain't true. We called to get 6 days and all we could get was 3 days but it was worth every minute there. We kept going up each morning and nothing open, not even for one day. The Manager said that we should have booked a few weeks in advance and then book for a week and if we wanted, we could cancel any days when we got there. The cost to get into the park was $25 for the week and was also good for Yellowstone. Even without the cable and WiFi it was a 10. You could go to the cabins and use their WiFi. Just to sit looking at the Tetons down by the lake was great. The cost was a little high but it was a GREAT park and the restaurants on site were also. . . GREAT. Happy motoring and stay safe. It's in the national park near Jackson Lake. There are two campgrounds. One has hook ups and the other doesn't. Showers are pay ($3.50). The campground is well shaded and the sites are comfortable. This is a National Park RV site. Their emphasis is on nature and therefore it is more of a campground with full hookups. The sites are not very level and are kind of tight. This is a destination RV park for touring the Grand Teton Park. It is in a dense lodge pole pine forest with separate (mostly pull-through) sites quite close together. This campground sits beside a smooth, round stone beach with an absolutely breathtaking view of the mountains across Jackson Lake. The view alone is worth the cost. Site specific reservations can't be made, you get what you are assigned. sites were spacious enough, in an old growth lodge pole pine forest. Plenty of room for the kids to bike ride. Showers should be included, but aren't. Park operated horseback riding sells out fast, before we even got there, but the are better options nearby. Try A-OK Coral for a gorgeous ride into the Gros Ventre area. The Visitors center in Jackson Hole has dozens of brochures for others. Most are less costly than the park operation. Staff and park staff were all quite pleasant. We had a white fox in our campsite. Plenty of wildlife- Tons of Prong horn antelope, Moose on the road nearby, grisly bear near a back road to Jackson. We saw lots of wildlife in Yellowstone, including lots of bison half hour drive to the south gate. Jackson Hole is touristy but has plenty of shopping opportunity. Jenny Lake is gorgeous, close by and on the way to Jackson Hole. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground, if you like scenery and don't need hook-ups. Many sites to chose from. There are sites that will accommodate rigs from large to small. Rest rooms are clean and maintained daily. Satellite TV works good here. There is Wi-Fi behind the office, but not from the CG sites. There are open areas and wooded areas. Lots of moose in late summer and fall. Campground borders the Gros Ventre river which is clear and flows well. Office personnel are great. Friendly and helpful. This is a very big cg so lots of room for walking and riding bikes. Also, some electrical hook-ups for handicapped. Roads are paved but getting a little rough; NPS needs more funds! This is a wonderful park. If you have a big rig, you need to select your site carefully. We were able to get our Verizon Broadband Wireless Internet and cell phone to work albeit poorly at times. Our DirecTV worked well from our site and there are 6 local channels available as well. The water is great so you will want to fill your tank here. There is a definite bottleneck in the dump site/drinking water site so you will need to be patient. They could improve this situation easily if they wanted to. There is limited recycling there as well. We would definitely stay here again. It is first come first served so plan accordingly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Must be self contained here. There are very limited generator hours in some sections of the CG and no generators allowed in other sections. Centrally located water spigots can be several hundred feet away. $21 seems very high for a NPS no-service CG, but this is of course the Yellowstone/Teton area. There are pit toilet facilities that were quite clean. One dump station at the entrance/exit was very crowded at check-out time (as you can imagine for a 360 space CG!). This park is convenient to Grand Teton and Jackson Hole and all there is to do in the area. No frills camping @ $10/night. Although we were given a site for our 40' motorhome we still had a tight fit. It seems the logs that are used as the stop point are very big in circumference and can endanger some rigs' lower hanging gear, particularly if you have air suspension and leveling jacks. Great location, that's the positive. The campground is old, the site pullouts were once paved, but that has weathered away to dirt, and the bathrooms need to be demolished and rebuilt. As with Colter Bay, zero maintenance has been done here in 40 years. Except, 9 brand new paved, big, level sites have been installed, with electric. Brand new bathroom also. Great NPS CG! Clean restrooms, very friendly staff. A-Loop allows generators and seems to have bigger sites. A-loop is also closer to the Gros Ventre River for a nice walk and/or trout fishing. This is our 3rd time staying here and will be back. Hopefully your rig is sealed up pretty good. Apparently ours is not and we had some mice get in. Learned a good lesson to always carry a few traps and peanut butter with me when we travel. A nice man from Wisconsin let us have a few traps and we got rid of our problem. We love Gros Ventre Campground and stay here everytime we come to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons. The campground is convenient to the town of Jackson (10 miles) and the Moose Visitors Center (8 miles). There are so many spaces it rarely fills. One can feel confident that during the height of season in one of most visited National Parks in the country, one can get a place to stay. The Grand Teton Lodge Company staff does an excellent job of taking care of the campground and everyone is friendly and courteous. There is a nightly campfire talk by a National Park ranger. We attended most and found them enjoyable. There is lots of animal sightings on the road to the campground with a bison herd ready for their closeup with the tourists. A big park! A mix of sagebrushy sites and some shady tree sites. River is accessible via a trail from some sites. This campground worked fine as a base for exploring the rest of the park. This is my third time staying here and I have never been disappointed. Very quiet especially at night. Starry skies are awesome. Sites were available even on holiday weekend though not all can handle longer rigs. Lots of wildlife nearby. Two bull moose came through campground on second morning. True dry camping with dump and fresh water fill at campground entrance. Generators are allowed during the day on A-C loops. If your visit calls for trips to Jackson this is much more convenient than other park campgrounds. Excellent hiking and bike trails are also nearby. New bike path is currently under construction from town of Jackson to Moose Jct so bicycles will never have to be on the main road. Will definitely stay here on future visits. Campground was convenient to Jackson and Tetons. I would have picked Jenny Lake if we were in a tent. Due to our size, Gros Ventre was pretty much our only choice. Campground is in the middle of sage brush. No Grass. No Hookups. No showers. Only one dump station. Pretty views of the Tetons if you have a western edge site. Moose right outside of camp(very cool). Office closes early if you need firewood. Ashes from fire rings are spread in site, so it made for dirty feet in the trailer. It was OK, but I would choose elsewhere if there were a better RV option. Close to Jackson and lower Teton Park attractions. 37 miles to Coulter Bay for showers etc. You now check in at the office first and get assigned a site. We looked the park over the day before we arrived and selected a few sites that would work. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rate is with Golden Age pass We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have been camping in this park for over 30 years so I guess I like it. It's the closest NP campground to Jackson and it's located on the Gros Ventre road to Kelly Warm Springs. You turn east onto this road off US-26, 89 & 189 (the main N/S road in the Park), just south of the entrance to the Jackson Hole airport. NP traffic signs are kind of small so be on the alert. It's a dry camping only, rustic park and this year I stayed in the loop designed for larger RV's that allowed generator usage all night. Other loops do not allow any generators so choose your site accordingly. It is the last campground in the park to fill up and most of the time it never fills up so if you are arriving late at night, there is a good possibility that there will be an empty site somewhere. Moose were all over the place this year, other wildlife can be found near the Gros Ventre river. Bison are common place. Check in procedure is a little weird. You tour the grounds, pick a site and then come back and pay for the site. If you have the opportunity, don't miss the daily gunfight in Jackson. It happens late in the afternoon but check the time to be sure. P.S. The good guys always win - lol. We camped here in a Motorhome.

As stated before, the roads are very tight for a rig over about 25'. I had to go around part of a loop the wrong way just to get lined up right. The garbage dumpsters always seem to be in the wrong location, blocking access to the sites. Sites are fairly large but some are very close together. I doubt if we will stay here again due to the access issues, but at $10.25 a night you can't beat the price. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Get here early, 1st come, no reservations, rigs under 30 ft. We love this campground, centrally located, on lake, great views and amenities nearby. Only drawback, no showers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A "7" is the best I could give for dry camp boondocking. This place has a great location next to Jackson Lake. There is a restaurant, store, boat rentals and a hotel within easy walking distance. We rented a boat and loved it for the different perspective photos of the Tetons. The restaurant was good and reasonable. Their nacho appetizer ($8) would feed four! In three of four the loops here you can run a generator from 8-8. As stated in earlier reviews this place can be full by 11 AM easy. The place is tight for anyone pulling anything larger than a tent trailer. Even though the rate is $22 we paid $11 with our access pass. We would stay here again! We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Signal Mountain CG is a dry camp operated by Signal Mountain Lodge, but no reservations, so first come first served for 86 sites, both tent and RVs. CG located next to Jackson Lake, and each site was just a few minutes walk from the lake. All loops are heavily wooded, and built into a hill, which compromises RV access, especially for longer TTs and MHs. Most sites are fairly large, so you don’t feel crowded. Elevation 6,800'. A few pull throughs (on side of road), but most are unlevel back-ins. During high season (until Labor Day), CG fills before 11:00. My site in upper loop was a fairly level pull-through on side of road and long enough for my TT & TV, w/ new picnic table and fire ring. Many sites had newer “bear boxes” for food storage. Each loop had one bathroom with flush toilets, cold water sinks, dish washing room, and a single faucet (threaded) in front to fill water tanks with a very long hose. Faucet drain in front of our bathroom was clogged with food floating in it, and maintenance didn’t bother to fix it while we were there (4 days). Dump station nearby, no recycle containers. Cell phone coverage (Verizon) excellent. Nightly charge $20.50, Golden Age $10.25. One site designated “Full Hookup RV” at $50.00 (no discounts) with electric, water and sewer. We use a 45 watt solar panel kit to keep the TT battery charged while dry camping. Nearby lodge, restaurant, small store and marina, and spectacular views of Tetons across the lake. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Our site had a partial view of the Grand Tetons and was 75 feet from the lake. The site had a fire ring, picnic table, and bear safe. We were very happy for a fire ring. This was the first campground with one in 3 weeks. This was a first come, first serve campground. The ranger was at the sign-in kiosk and helped us with the registration procedure. The campground entrance was adjacent to the lodge, general store, restaurant, and gas station. Hiking trails leave from the campground. Although the bathroom was very clean, there were no showers on location. Only ONE site in the campground has hookups. The rest have nothing. The sites were very difficult to back into with my 21ft trailer and not close to level. My trailer hitch ball was almost touching the ground, that's how steep it was. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Small campground that often fills up early. The single site with hookups is no great shakes; a few others have views of the mountains and lake, so try for one of those. Some of the sites are pretty short. Grass and trees are abundant and some of the turns are tight. Very quiet at night. We saw deer several times. It's close to the Signal Mountain resort and general store. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This may be Grand Teton NP's best kept secret - there is ONE full hookup site at this campground, although there were plenty of RV's there with generators, which you may run from 8AM-8PM to charge things up. It is a beautiful campsite on the Lake. The site was a little difficult to get into, but level (and paved) once you got up the hill. Not for a big rig, though. In the trees. Near the Lodge in case you need something - has a restaurant, lounge, and some supplies. A real find! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
