I stumbled across this park. It is right on a beautiful little river, and listening to the river sounds at night while going to sleep was great. This is not a destination park, but is a very nice inexpensive sleepover place. It is on a highway, so road noises are present. There are no showers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Right on the lake. Our first time dry camping and it was great. Opened the windows and let the breeze cool us at night. It was fine. Lots of people here with boats. It's a huge lake. Very quiet and not developed. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The setting is the beautiful Wind River Canyon. The downside, for tent camping, is that they water the grass with a sprinkler system and do not warn tent campers when they are making reservations. If the campground host hadn't warned us and told us to put pots weighed down with rocks on top of the sprinkler heads (which took some searching) we would have woken up to wet tents. This is an outhouse (pit toilet) only facility, there are no showers. There are water spigots. The mosquito's were horrible this year but that seems to be an exception, due to the wet spring. There are showers in town at the hot springs, the state bath house. We camped here in a Tent.
