This park is about 3 hours from where we live, so we've stayed here probably a dozen times both coming & going from vacations! Sites are well-spaced apart and always tidy. The park itself is lovely - huge, lots of dog-walking space, close to restaurants & shopping, big clubhouse with pool & laundry. The only complaint I have, if you can call it that, is the Wi-Fi. I'd MUCH prefer being able to access it from my site, but it's only available in the clubhouse. So you're stuck waiting for the clubhouse to open at about 9 - 10 AM every morning. But with that single "problem", we'll continue coming back to this RV park. The people are so very friendly, and the park is a delight!

Just outside of Boise, in Caldwell, ID. Friendly check-in. Always a good start! Once that process was complete, he lead us directly to our site. Clean, level, with grass attached. Full hook ups with 50 amps and Wi-Fi. No cable. I noted some of the reviews for this park indicated long-term residents with unkempt trailers. I have to say, I didn't see that - only 1 trailer that could be spruced up, but the others appeared well-maintained. The park seems split between full, long-term residents, and us transient types. The sites closer to the front of the park & the exit appear to be designated for the over-nighters. We found it quiet (other than the crazy wind) & very easy off / on to the highway. There's also a very handy little cafe a short walk down the road, so you don't even have to unhook if you don't want to. We would definitely return; although, this location for us would be an overnight only.

Lovely campground! Big, spacious full-service sites. Lots of "doggy" space for walking. 50 amp, water, sewer, cable, WiFi. Only issue, if there is one, is the WiFi is not accessible from some of the sites - ours, in fact! Too weak a signal. If it's important to you, ask to be put in a site closer to the office. While we were only here one night, I would definitely consider a longer stay here. Friendly staff at check-in, lovely surroundings, quiet park with comfortable sites.

We are leaving this sorry-excuse for an RV park today! And believe it or not, somehow they managed to become a KOA! A definite black mark for the KOA community of campgrounds! We chose to stay here because KOA is generally a very safe & reliable choice when travelling. Not so with this nightmare! This is the first time that we actually considered moving to Walmart as a more comfortable option. The sites are, to say the very least, narrow – which is why I changed the “big rig access” option to NO. We spent almost 30 mins juggling our 40' motorhome back, forth & sideways in order to be able to get our slides out. Now they're out, we can't walk between our bus & the one next to us on the hook-up side! Hubby forgot to turn the tap on & I was the only one who could squeeze under the slide to get to the faucet! On our other side, we have a tree. Which our opposite slide is almost touching. And with that slide out, we can't possibly put out chairs to enjoy the sunshine! If we did, we'd be in our neighbour's site! So we're restricted to being indoors or going elsewhere. We should have known there was going to be a problem when we arrived at this "park". A couple walking past said to me, "If that's your rig, and clearly it is, I hope you brought a shoehorn!" Never a good thing to hear when you arrive! Let's get past the site size & mention the huge lie in the KOA book! States this park is on the shores of Quail Lake, "a few short steps to the water from your site". My husband & I walked the dog for over an hour last night - all around the so-called resort. If it's on a lake, we couldn't find it! We did take a drive & found the lake is a few miles away, but certainly not attached to this park. We spend enough time travelling that we've managed to be presented with a VIP card from KOA. If this was the first KOA we ever stayed in, we would never ever have stayed in another! This is not what I expect from KOA, and I intend to send a letter to their head office. We had wanted to spend about a week in the St. George, UT area. We're stuck with 3 nights because we committed, & with all our efforts to get into this site, it's just too big a headache to relocate. Our mistake, was based on what we usually find with a KOA. With all that negativity, the only positive thing I can say about this KOA is this: the nice fellow at the office took my diplomatic rant well, and we had a good conversation about this park's shortcomings & my disappointment. No offers to compensate or attempt a site upgrade (not sure there is such a thing as a "better" site here!), but he did claim to understand my complaint! Avoid this park at all costs! Seriously, as much as I despise the Walmart parking lot, there's more space & privacy than there is here! And it's probably closer to the lake!

I wouldn't choose to stay here for a long time, but for a couple of nights, it was more than adequate. Handy shuttle bus runs through the park on a regular basis, taking guests of the RV park back and forth to the casino. There are several restaurants in the casino, but very few amenities in nearby Kinder. Closest town for any REAL shopping or restaurants would be Lake Charles. Park is clean, and relatively well laid out. Our only complaint, if there is one, was the lady who took our reservation didn't know how to spell "Canada"! I was not surprised that "British Columbia" was outside her comfort zone! I'd recommend this park as a short-stay layover.

LOVE it! Surrounded by the peace & quiet of the desert, sites are spacious, clean, and well laid out. Limited service: 30 amp power, no water, no sewer, definitely no cable TV or Wi-Fi! But that being said, there are water stations throughout the park so you can refill, and there's a sanidump at one end of the park. We intended to spend 2 nights here, but were so enthralled by our surroundings, we stayed an extra 2! There's a limit on the length of your stay - 7 days max, and then you have to be gone for 7 days before you can return. There are tent sites, but oddly, no showers available in the park. Many attractions in the area: about 1.5 miles down the road, Old Tucson Studios. Also very close by, International Wildlife Museum & Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Your closest shopping for groceries, restaurants, etc. is about 20 mins away in Tucson's outskirts. But for the peace & serenity of this park, I'd drive twice as far! I'd definitely recommend this park, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - and again! We camped here in a motorhome. Yes, it's big-rig friendly!

Very friendly park host greeted us upon check-in. We were offered a choice of several sites & we chose the one we spent the next 4 days in. Clean resort, lots of amenities, but a few things we found odd. 1. The dog walk outside the park is a virtual mud hole when it's wet! Odder still, there's nowhere to deposit pet waste once you've picked it up! 2. Not a garbage can anywhere to be found - ALL the garbage cans for the entire park are about 1/2 mile away at one end of the resort. 3. The available wifi is expensive for what you get (according to residents). I opted to take my netbook up to the library, where you can hook up for free. Other than those little hiccups, the sites are large with patios. Considering how lovely the weather is as a rule in Casa Grande, a patio is almost a requirement! Close to town for the inevitable necessities, and close to attractions. Also necessary when you're in the area as a tourist. About 20 + mins to Casa Grande ruins. We'd stay here again - for no other reason than the people in the park! Nice to be surrounded by friendly faces when you're a long ways from home!

This park has potential, but definitely hasn't reached it yet! Looks very nice from the road and upon entry, but our site looked like an unfinished gravel driveway. The night time noise is unbelievable! It was a constant barrage of train noise and trucks on-the-freeway noise. ALL NIGHT! We had thought we might spend 2 nights in the area in order to hike Picacho Peak, but after a night of virtually no sleep at all, we decided to just head into Yuma. Granted, this is a new resort so there's still work to be done (clearly!). But they should avoid sticking people on the hill until that area is completed. And after our experience, I swear noise rises! Also, there is absolutely nothing nearby, except a fast food restaurant / service station. Nearest groceries are about 15 miles, and according to a resort employee, the store there is not worth going to. That leaves you with a 30+ mile drive to get groceries! I have to say, I would NOT recommend this park! There's a lovely State campground about 3 miles away: no idea if there are hookups, but unless you plan on spending days, it shouldn't matter.

We had something of a "hiccup" when we arrived, and I was VERY impressed at how the problem was handled. The General Mgr made a personal visit to our site and addressed our concerns, making sure that we were happy with the outcome. VERY professional! Beautiful RV resort, handy to restaurants, shopping, tourist sites in San Antonio. If you're booking here, and pull the phone number from the Campgrounds in Texas handout from the visitors' centers: ASK FOR THE DIRECT LINE TO THE RESORT!! They use a call center, and that's where our problems started! Call the resort directly: that'll ensure a smooth, problem-free reservation. Yes, I'd recommend this park.

We stayed here "by accident" - as in, the pass into Baker City was closed! We picked the only RV park we could find using road signs. In all honesty, for a truck stop with an attached RV park, we could have done worse! Spotless restrooms (and we were empty of water; didn't want to freeze up!). I rarely use RV park restrooms, but when push comes to shove, I want my morning shower! I had no problem using their bathrooms! For a cheap price, we had all the hookups we could want, including cable & internet. Restrooms were spotless, and the truck stop had 2 fast food places, if you don't want to cook (McDonald's & Subway). I wouldn't want to stay here indefinitely, but for several nights when you don't have too many options, this was perfect!

We are currently in this park! Love it. Great walking path along the creek for pet owners, great security (which is nice), not far from anything you could need, and right across the street from easy-to-use public transit, if you don't want to drive your car into San Antonio. Very easy access for big rigs (we're 66' when towing, 40' motorhome with Dakota p/u behind), nice long pull-throughs, friendly staff, and all the hookups you could want. Even the internet isn't bad here! I'd definitely recommend this park to anyone in the area! We're traveling across the US as we speak.

This park has clearly been designed by someone who has never owned / used / seen an RV! Hookups were spaced apart so poorly that we had to go to an RV supply store to buy longer connections for water & power! We never even tried to hook up to sewer. That was a nightmare itself, as it runs uphill! The only positive I can see about this park is the proximity of the amusement park. If you don't have little kids, pick somewhere else to stay! Most RV parks are throwing in wi-fi for free. Callaway charges a ridiculous $10 / day for internet access. The other thing is they are less than accommodating when it comes to moving sites. We had opted to move from a partial-service site to full-service where there were lots of open sites; in fact, the one they put us in hours later was vacant when we wanted to move. Instead, they had us drive down to the amusement park's overflow parking & wait til 2 PM! It was inconvenient for us, and from what we could see, completely unnecessary. Would we stay here again? Only if there wasn't another RV park or Walmart in the area! And there usually is. In other words, no, we wouldn't stay here again. Nor would we recommend it to friends.

We've been KOA members long enough and often enough to rate a VIP card. If this had been the first KOA we'd stayed at, we would never have looked for another one! It's a parking lot. Period. A lot of pavement, virtually no greenery or trees. I use the KOA directory like a Bible. If I can locate a KOA in our next stop, I'm happy. Usually it's safe, clean, full hookups, dog walks, plenty of amenities. The only positive about this LV KOA is the easy access to the strip! Negatives: A rather awkward access unless you want to drive your rig down the strip! We didn't, so you have to find your way around the strip and access it via Industrial. Unless you request "greenery," you get pavement. I have a dog that's kind of OCD. She won't do her thing unless she has grass! So we paid extra to get some "lawn." Very expensive for what you are provided with, certainly as far as RV parks or KOAs go! Positives: Easy access to the strip without driving. Walk straight through Circus Circus which is great, especially if you're looking for restaurants, etc., without having to drive. We spent 2 nights here and wouldn't do it again.

Lovely park with good security. Very friendly folks upon check-in / checkout, and very helpful through our week-long stay. Park is well-maintained with lots of full-timers (park models everywhere!). There were so many BC & Alberta RVs there, we were beginning to wonder if there was anyone at home keeping the doors open! Only negative, if there was one, was the unreliability of the internet access. Unless you log on early in the morning or very late at night, good luck. Anytime I see Tengo Internet as the service provider, I cringe! My hubby runs his business while traveling, so internet is rather important. We've often resorted to packing a laptop to a restaurant with wi-fi in order to do what needs to be done. Loved this resort & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends / family.

Great park for short-term stay. Very friendly staff & lovely little restaurant attached for breakfast & dinner (Roadrunner Cafe). We had a great dinner there for $20 (2 people including good tip!). It's your basic RV park, no fluff & definitely not fancy. But if all you want is comfortable & complete hookup, this works. The advertised wi-fi is non-existent at the sites, but apparently works in the restaurant. I can't guarantee that, as I didn't bother to check. We'd stay here again, and for a pitstop, I'd recommend it to friends. We stayed in a motorhome with a tow vehicle (we're 66' long when towing), and we were able to keep the tow vehicle connected without blocking any roads.

Really enjoyed our stay at this park! People are very friendly & helpful. Lovely view sites facing the desert. Great hiking trails if you have a pet with you. There are a couple of "negatives" which this RV park has no control over: wi-fi is not accessible from your site (only available in the library area), cellphone service is unreliable (you have to drive up the hill a couple of minutes away to get decent service), and everything is a minimum of 10 - 15 minutes away. Tombstone itself is about 12 miles in one direction; Sierra Vista is about 20 miles the other direction. All that being said, it's VERY "big rig" friendly (we have a 40' motorhome with tow vehicle - 66' total length). If we hadn't wanted to use our Dakota, we could have left it connected to the coach without blocking any roadways. The drive into either town is easy & scenic, so even being camped some miles out of town wasn't a big deal. Also, Kartchner Caverns is only 10 mins from the park. We would definitely stay here again & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends!

This is our second visit to this park. First one was 10 years ago! Immaculate, full amenity list, friendly helpful staff, gift shop available. Only complaint, if I have one, is the sites are fairly narrow, & I'd like a little more "greenery" between me & my neighbor! There's a lot of pavement. However, that being said, the park is on the cliffs overlooking the ocean, has a dog walk area available, great playground for kids (we don't have small children, but the play area was directly in front of our motorhome!), and it's a short drive into the city - or take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from a few blocks away. $2 / day to park your car, and $6.50 round trip into the city & back. GREAT park! We'll definitely go back & recommend it to others!
