We only stayed overnight, but we were impressed with the friendliness of staff and overall clean and cared for appearance of this campground. It has an open, park like appearance, with plenty of shade trees. The campground was quiet and there was plenty of space between sites.
We enjoyed camping here a lot, but it was due to the location (gorgeous) not the campground. This just wasn't our kind of campground--the sites are small and close together with no screening between. We just didn't feel we were camping--it was too paved over and not private. That being said, the area is magnificent. We enjoyed kayaking and watching the otters playing in the marina. It's a short walk to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and well maintained. We'd go again just because it's so convenient to the Monterey area.
Previous comments mentioned electrical issue--I inquired and it was fixed (by the electric company) the same week it was reported. The pool was lovely (it is heated). It's an older park, but extremely clean and well maintained. The owner is on site and workers are very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and there's lots to do. We particularly enjoyed the goats and chickens!
