This is a small, older campground that you have to drive through the middle of town to get too. It looks sketchy when you make the turn but we were met by the owner as soon as we pulled in. She said take spot 17 and come on into the office. The spots are wide enough to have slides and there is good power 124 volts and great Wi-Fi. I have a full hookup site and can see the river though some of the riverfront sites are empty. We are a big rig but had no problem pulling in (42 foot plus tow and straight axle up front) the space. We called and they said they had a spot and did not ask for any deposit. I was going to just spend the night but decided on two as there is a bunch of neat stuff in town to see, including a prison tour. I would stay here again.

It is a wonderful campground. We always stay back down by the horses. There were not too many this weekend. They were helpful in putting our friends right next to us too. The Wi-Fi is slow and goes in and out, but that is the only thing I would right it down for. The rest of the place is very nice. It is a horse park so there are horse droppings around and the sites down there are not the most level. If I can get level in my big rig you should be able too. You might have to back and fill to get there though. I would and will stay here again.

This is a wonderful campground. It is close to the road but I have double paned windows. It is an adult campground. The spot seem to be level for the most part and I did not have to raise or lower my coach at all. There are a couple that have a slope but the majority are very level. They are small and are for 16 year old and up it says on the sign. It had great grass, good power and a very friendly staff. You watch cows out your front window and we watched a guy plow the field with 6 mules. The buggies go by all day. The campground is tight but if you know where your corners are it is very doable. I am a big rig and do not have independent front suspension. I got right into my site on the first pull in. We were told when we called for reservations not to pull into the top part of the campground as we would not fit up there to turn around. I had to unhook when I pulled in the lower area and then back up a bit to make the turn. This is now one of our favorite places and we will be back soon.

They were very pleasant. We have stayed here before. They upgraded us for free, to a premium site right on the river. The campground was spotless and there seemed to be less geese this year. The sites were gravel and there was nice grass all around. You can not park or drive on the grass as they have underground sprinklers, but there was enough room on the sites to fit behind the motorhome and I am 42 feet. It is big rig friendly, though I might choose a regular site pull through, as it is wider and longer than the premium sites. You can fit and you can get out, but the circle is a bit tight. Not a problem and I do not have IFS either, but it is noticeable and I had to back up once to make the turn into the circle. Not a huge issue but you will have to unhook the tow car before parking in the premium site. The regular sites do not have that issue: if you are staying for the night you can remain hooked up and not have an issue.

This is a wonderful park but it was hot this weekend and their power got low on the voltage. I will say that the owners called the electric company but they got very little satisfaction. The fact of the matter though is that the power was sitting at 108-111 volts on both legs of the 50 amp plug. This was worse the further in the park you go. They have an issue that I am sure they will get fixed as it was not this weekend. They are a great campground and have plenty of space and nice sites that can get TV reception for the Sat system. I know I stated that the power was low but it is and was a pleasant camping weekend.

There were two of us in motorhomes and they worked to put us next to each other. We are backed in by the river and it is very nice. It has rain (poured really) the last two days. There is a few spots were the water has puddled but most of the campground is not flooded or puddled. They have good drainage. They have a nice building and a shelter as well. The sites were very nice and spacious. I saw some pull thrus that must me close to 100 foot long with three sewer connections. The campground has multiple free Wi-Fi connection points as well. I am sitting here in the coach writing this and watching the rain fall. They have shaded sites and open sites. The pool was still closed as it was cold still. We would stay here again.

I have reviewed this park before, but they have made major improvements to it since the last time I reviewed it a number of years ago. Now they have poured concrete pads for the rigs at every site just about except their primitive sites. They have pull thru and back in sites, but they all have concrete pads and full hookups or so it seems walking the campground. They have a wifi here too though I could not log in, but it is free. I am just using the aircard and that works pretty fast here. I would say that the interior roads are still gravel and put up a bit of dust but the entrance road has been paved as well so that is much nicer as well. They have made nice improvements to the sites and have mature trees and nice sites though they are a bit closer together than I would like and they have alot of extra room around the sites for future expansion. The people at the desk were very nice as well. We will come back here again, but mabe not let as much time pass.

Poorly laid out campground with the office off to the side and a 180 degree turn required with rocks all around down low. I did fit 42 feet in, but it was tight and not worth it. The entry way was narrow and the road down from the office had holes in it 3 feet long and 2 feet wide. I think this could be a wonderful location with a bit of updating. It is not a destination site for us but there were 20 units there in the middle of the summer.. Interesting.

Love this park. The road in is under construction but it is paved and has patches from the rains. The campground it tight but we got our 42 footer in without a problem. We have 30 amp though and wish it was 50 amp and it would be a 10 in my opinion,. They had wifi free and the staff was great. Would stay here again...

This is a nice campground, but we are too close to our neighbor. All the sites are too tight that way, and the driveway is a bit tight, too. Now it is well cared for and clean. The power is strong, and you can get a big rig in here, too, though registering is a chore and on a hill and very tight. I would stay here again, but I would look to Mama Gerties first as it is more adult and much more quiet as the interstate is right behind you as well.

This is a lovely park, It has a few 50 amp sites and a few with sewer but has a handy dump station. The sites are spread out and you park on concrete and have grass all around you. The campground was totally flooded out this spring and summer but still was in good shape this fall in one of the rings. Some of the shelter houses on the other side were a bit rough because of it. There are a few nicely shaded spots but many have short trees and only a few on the lake itself though many have a good view. There are a load of tent sites not in the site count since they are permitted in general areas not on individual sites. The directions on the GPS to get here are a bit off due to a lot of construction in the area but if you see the sign you can follow it in and you will get here. It is a quiet park and quite a jewel. I think if you have a year pass you can reduce the daily rate by 10 dollars but the yearly pass to enter is 40 dollars so for out of towners staying a weekend it costs us a bit more.

This campground could be very nice. They did not and have not mowed the grass in weeks. The front of the park is immaculate but the campground section had grass 18 inches high in places. It has a great location and good power though there were no 50 amp sites available when we got here due to the number of seasonal people here. I would say that half of the sites are seasonal with multiple cars in front of trailer with a lot of junk piled around and under them. I have stayed at worse campgrounds and we are not here for the campground but a wedding so it will work as a weekend stay but not a destination.

Lovely Campground. Only 30 amp so I marked it down a bit and the water is far apart though not on our site. It is shady and quiet and the owners very nice. I can say after being on the road for 4 weeks this is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. Very peaceful and while the sites are a bit tight to get in they are not that difficult. I just backed up a few feet and swung in the pull-through. The sewer dump station is in an odd place and tight from one side to get into. Most of the bigger sites have a dump so the smaller trailer sites will only have to use it. there are a few really long back in sites that do not have a sewer but if you approach the dump from the left you will not have a problem getting into it. While the power is only thirty amp I will say we tripped a breaker with the Aqua-Hot and that means they need to replace them as they are getting weak. We will stay here again when we are passing through.

Ok, it is a dry dusty campground but the whole area is under a drought and it is dusty everywhere. The KOA in West Yellowstone had dust and had to water the grass to allow it to survive. The sites have been leveled by putting gravel on the back end of the back in sites and the pull thrus seem pretty level to me. It is not a pretty campground to look at but the views of the mountains is amazing, especially if you are lucky enough to get a back in or pull thru facing them. They have good free wifi that reaches the site. It is a help, as the walk up would be dusty. We got a reservation at the last minute for the 4th of July and the rest of the weekend. It has good power and it is half full. I do not think they cut the grass but then not much more than weeds are growing out here. Would I come back here; yes, but would I look at other places first; yes. I like the Virginian in Jackson and find that very convenient. If they would spend a few dollars to pave the roads or at least gravel them and the sites, they could have a very nice campground. The lady at the desk was very nice and friendly. I guess I was expecting a worse reception. I will say, the maintenance man did not wave, when we drove in, just stopped and stared.

The campground is a great campground and the owners have done the best they can with the siting of the land and the spaces. I will say that the river is not the lake but to find a better location in a resort area is hard to do and keep it an RV park. The sites all have good power and is easy in and out. The sawmill is not that loud and the road noise is a bit loud during the day but almost non existent in the evening. The staff was very helpful in giving suggestions of what to see and where to go. I am renting a boat they have for the day on the lake too. I would come back here again.

Bath houses were closed. Lots of messy looking seasonals in the front of the campground. Roadways were narrow. You can drive though but it is difficult to pull out of the pull through due to the decks that the seasonals put in. Ground is grass and sandy dirt. Not a bad location but it is just a place to stay to go to the National Refuge not a destination park. I find it hard to believe people would seek to have a seasonal site. Also drove through Toms Cove and it is similar though the sites were shorter.

We had a rally here and it rained 5 inches over the weekend. They had sites that had flooding but for the most part it was not too bad. The roads are narrow and the staff is poorly organized. Called in for a reservation 5 months ago and they said yes and then when we got there they did not have it. The lady made excuses but did find us a site away from the group. There are many many seasonal sites. In fact they have about 15 spots for over night guests in one section of about 100 spaces. I would go back there if there was no other choice to stay at in the area or was required to be in the area for some reason but would look elsewhere if there is another option for you. I think they cater to their seasonals and not us and kind of treated us as an afterthought or a bother. We were all in motorhomes and were pretty quite and were not outside much at all due to the rain. THey told us we had the shelter reserved for our use then proceeded to park their own trucks under it.

It is basicly a commuter parking lot and they have a marina there too. We camp on gravel sites and back in but it is convenient to the water taxi and you can see the Statue from almost all the sites if no one is in front of you that is. It is what it is though. It is very convenient to NYC and to the Jersey cities too. We use it as a base camp not as a resort. They have a canvas building on the weekends that they turn into a night club. We did not hear them but others did hear the music. I liked to look at the people but they were out there all night.

The $29.50 rate is good till May 15th then it goes to $44.95. They just put in Wi-Fi too and it is great. I will say the sites are large but the hookups are pretty far away. Some people needed extensions to the sewer or water hoses. I saw a bunch of these extensions in the camp store so it must be a problem on many sites. There are a lot of seasonals in the campground. I would say about half of the sites. We were here for the FMCA State Rally, they had extra room for motorhomes and had 105 Motorhomes here including big rigs. They had someone direct us to our spot and we had nice power and water pressure and the sewer hose just reached. There were a lot of golf carts running around faster than you can drive a car inside the park and many were driven by kids. They have nice cable and super fast Wi-Fi internet connections too. The sites were large and somewhat sandy though they have grass. The seasonals are just jammed in though and you have to walk through them to get to the club house or camp store. Also they have great facilities for rallys too. I would stay here again but the numbers of campers is huge and overwhelms the amenities when they are full. Nice campground and we would use it again if we have to stay in the area but would not seek it out.

We had a Foertravel Grandvention here with over 100 motorhomes in attendance and we did not even make a dent in the number of sites used. The facilities are amazing and the the people very friendly. They have shooting range, driving range, playground, lake and paddle boats and full service gym. The gym is not air conditioned except for the office area. You need to have a cummins engine product, be a member of FMCA or Good Sams and they have to have room too. It is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in in all of our years.
