Overall not a bad campground. We stayed in a deluxe site which I strongly recommend unless you want to be in an open area with small children and dogs running everywhere. We stayed in deluxe site number 3. It was nice, although a little tight for getting out of when there were campers in the site next to us. A lot of the people in this campground are locals with seasonal sites. We were here for two nights while waiting for our house to close. Restrooms/showers were clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. I would give this resort a higher rating if we didn't have to watch out for unattended children and dogs as much when we were leaving the park each time to run into town for errands.
We stayed in this resort after a 7 day trek from Winnipeg Manitoba that covered 11 states so we were fortunate enough to have stayed in some pretty nice places along the way. This was not one of them. Check in - Disorganized. The old owner had just sold this resort to a new person who was working there on our check in. A couple of weeks prior to arriving I tried to make reservations on the 1-800 number but the young woman said the owner has to get back and confirm. That seemed a little strange. He didn't get back to me and wasn't sure on price to charge even when we got to the park. Site - Located in the lower area of the park (picture two tiered) near the highway. Because it was in the lower level, cell reception was completely non-existent. I climbed up the hill and used a picnic table that had a rotting banana on it. Restrooms/Showers - Filthy, in desperate need of a makeover. My 13 yr old son took a shower and came back commenting on beetles climbing up through the drain. This is a resort that was recently sold and has a water park that is quite busy used primarily by locals from what it looked like. The water park is in addition to the cost of a site. I would not camp here again and think the owners should really take some hints from comparable sized parks a couple of hours away in Maine.
This is one of the best campground we've ever stayed in as a family who camps frequently throughout the US & Canada. We had a deluxe patio site (number 61) backing onto the river. The campground had a nice little dog run our miniature schnauzer loved. It was located right across from the Diamond Mines, we didn't go too but it looked interesting. The park had lots of staff and it really showed with the upkeep of the park right down to firepits being cleaned out when people left, we saw this and were impressed. Nothing really to say other than if you want a nice relaxing holiday in a well maintained RV resort in Central NY this is the place to come, we loved it and plan on going back.
This was a beautiful treed campground handy to to Old Orchard Beach and surrounding area attractions. We like to go antique hunting and this area is full of great treasures. The campground itself does have a shuttle service to Old Orchard Beach for a cost of $2 a person. We enjoyed our stay here. The only complaint we have is that the area we stayed seemed to be an addition to the original campground and going up to laundry was really annoying as it was through a gated area with keys only given to those staying in that part of the park. That being said though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a nice clean KOA with friendly staff and clean restrooms/showers. If you are staying in this park be sure and take in the pancake breakfasts. The pancakes are massive and delicious.
We stayed at this campground due to it's proximity to Shipshewana. We were pleasantly surprised to see that Middlebury is a less visited but neat little town with the same type of shops. This campground like most KOA's we've stayed at was clean. Our only real complaint was lack of trees, for privacy we could have saved our money and stayed at a Wal-Mart. Staff was nice and extremely helpful, restrooms/showers were clean, but the campground really lacked privacy. At least the site we had (site 26).
Beautiful campground at a reasonable price with close proximity to all the Dells has to offer. We stayed in a pull through site right across from the office and pool area. Restrooms/showers extremely clean as the resort had lots of staff. I would give this campground a 10 except that right across the secondary road leading into the KOA is a busy rail line. It was a little annoying but again we visited Wisconsin Dells for the attractions in town, not at the KOA.
Nice little park quite handy to the Albertville outlets. We stayed here for one night traveling from Manitoba to Nova Scotia. The staff was quite friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful who were genuinely concerned that we had all to make our stay comfortable. We stayed in a nice pull through site that was handy to pool and showers/restrooms. The only negative were directions not clear from interstate.
