We arrived here right at 5 pm because our planned night's stop at 2pm had no one on duty. Trade Winds office and residents were very friendly and helpful, and we were in a space immediately. Though a bit narrow, all hookups were in top shape and each space has a picnic table. This park is large and attached to mobile home and long term RV areas, but the overnight is easy in and out, and has laundry and showers centrally located next to the office. Not a place to vacation, but excellent value for overnight or local business stays.

This is a gated park, not new but relaxed, quiet atmosphere. It is a bit hard to find as the gate is a block or two down a small side road. We loved the warm swimming pool and hot Jacuzzi open all hours. In winter there are no crowds though the park is often nearly full with long-term residents. It's very quiet and friendly. A large fenced area is provided for pet exercise. A good stop on the way south to Palm Springs or the deserts in winter.

Anchor Bay is a small private camp with about nine overnight spaces right on the edge of a quiet beach. It is down in a small canyon below the switchback of the coast highway. The bulk of the other sites are permanent, owned units, but in winter almost all are vacant. So you enter past all these and park right at the beach end. In winter, lower rates and even the overnights are mostly vacant, so its a great atmosphere and usually good weather. Walk up to a restaurant or two and great natural-food oriented grocery, or 4 miles to town with much more. This is our favorite stop on the winter loop down the coast.

This park has a few RV hook-ups, but access is limited to shorter rigs. We had a small cycle trailer that made us 32 feet total, so only the dry camp area was available. Most of the acreage has been converted to park cabins. They charged extra for pool use (not included in overnight fees) and for each dog per day though there were no services like walk areas for dogs. The restaurant would have been a great attraction, but was not operating at all this year. There are no other restaurants in the vicinity. We will skip this hot spring camp next year.
