We love this place! Price reflects 50% Nat. Park Service Senior Pass discount. Just a great place that is clean and well kept. Concrete pads and patios that are covered. Very peaceful. The best bargain in camping we have ever found.
Far from the nicest place we ever stayed at. Decent neighborhood. We had a "pull through" site. Location was alongside a deep ditch and next to one of the roads in the campground. No room to put out the awning. Worried about one of our slides getting hit from passing traffic within park. Owner was friendly as were other residents. Mostly long term tenants. Lots of traffic noise. We wouldn't go back. Some of the other sites might be a lot better.
Nice enough campground. Not everybody followed the rules and nobody seemed to care. Loud party across from us went on until after 4:00 A.M. Large grassy sites, well maintained. Wi-Fi at your site for $6.00 a night. Beware of creative rates for camping. We were charged $30.00 in taxes for 4 nights. Never could get an explanation. Ask what your total charges will be up front. We got different answers from 3 different people. We won't go back
We stayed here last year for a couple months and liked it. So we reserved a spot for this year for a couple months. When we arrived the site we reserved had been crossed out and the rate was crossed out and was higher. Same thing happened to our friends who wanted to be next door. No explanation given. Most of the same unfinished projects from last year were still there as well as several new unfinished projects. Sewer smell was almost overwhelming some nights. Owners presence almost non-existent. Park is run by Work Kampers who don't always know what is going on. What a difference a year makes. We won't be back.
Supposed to 50% discount for PA but charged us $25.00. Feel like we got taken. Barely worth $25.00 at regular rate. Dirty and dusty. Glad it didn't rain, this would be a mud hole. No TV reception and plenty of road noise. Save your money and drive a little further.
Friendly, somewhat shopworn park in a nice location. Clean and well kept. Quiet, sites are smaller but adequate. Nice facility for a Rally. As good as most for the area.
What a bargain! We got 50% off with our America The Beautiful Sr. Pass. They even asked us for it. Extra nice park. Paved roads, concrete pad and covered patio. Very quiet, site was on the lake. Nice little town only a few miles away with several good restaurants. Lots of history in the area. This was a very good experience. We'll go back for sure.
Very friendly. Clean and well organized. Very nice large sites, some open, some wooded. Nice lodge with ice cream, snacks and tv lounge. Swimming pond. We enjoyed our short stay and would go back.
A little too pet friendly, leash rule was not enforced nor were any other rules. Never saw anyone patrolling the park. If we hadn't had decent neighbors this could have been a problem. Sites vary in size from huge to crowded. No marked boundaries. Always full while we were there. Water and elec were about 75 feet apart on our site and on wrong side of trailer. 20 amp and 50 amp only, no 30 amp so bring an adapter if you need one. Area is nice. Saw everything we needed to see probably wouldn't go back.
OK park. Gravel road in was dusty. It rained during the night and the road was a gooey mess on the way out. Fresh crushed limestone, left a mess everywhere on truck and trailer. An older park that needs a lot of cleanup and work. Very quiet, roomy site. Almost empty on a Sunday night. Nice young lady at checked in.
Nice handy location off of I-35 on the North end of Missouri. Very friendly, helpful owners. They treat you like old friends. Place gets better each time we stop. They're working hard to make it better. Gravel sites, far enough off the freeway to be quiet.
This could be a nice park as it has a lot of potential. It needs someone running it who cares. The Host was only interested in taking our money (cash). There was no registration to fill out, nothing. I wonder what portion of our fees went to the City? We were entertained by a bunch of kids near the lake yelling profanities and shooting off fireworks. The mosquitoes would carry you away. The fire ring was full of garbage. There was dog crap everywhere. We left early in morning just to escape this place. If I ever had to stay there again I would just drive in and park. If it's the same host they wouldn't notice..or care.
Great place to stay if you like noise. Very wet when we stayed and muddy. Cash only. Restaurant was not open when we went through. Looks like several transients were living there. Not one of our favorites. We won't be back.
One of the nicest parks we have been in. No traffic noise, no trains. Very friendly owners and hosts. Very scenic area. All concrete pads and roads, albeit a little rough job of finishing but adequate. We will be back for sure!
