We camped at this park last year for a cycling event and enjoyed it so much we returned again this year. Most spaces are wide with plenty of room between them and well groomed. We read about a new restaurant in the clubhouse but did not get an opportunity to try it (maybe next year). There is a wonderful winery just adjacent to the RV Park, we enjoyed going there one afternoon for a wine tasting. Lovely park to take a stroll in the late afternoon. They were having a promotion to stay 3 nights then the 4th was free: perfect since we stayed 4 nights! We will return again next year.
This was a great park for us as we participated in a cycling event in the area (Skinny Tire Festival), this was our second trip to this park. They have the most clean bathrooms and showers I have ever seen at a campground/RV park. Nice spaces, but end spaces are best. Owners are very nice. It is near the main highway so there is road noise but we were not there most of the day and the evening traffic was not bad. During this second visit there was some construction on a bridge that is close to the park so there was construction noise - the good side to this is that this construction was to improve the bridge and the bicycle path. There is a great bicycle path that runs next to the highway that you can jump on right from the park. Moab is just a quick drive down the road. We would consider returning again.
This campground was a great new find for us. New owners who are lovely and anxious to please their patrons. Very clean and well kept. There is a very small lake and stream. They took great care to spray for mosquitoes so our initial concern over that became a non-issue. Some areas of this campground are more crowded than others. The area around the small lake has larger spaces. This was a great location to explore Gunnison and Crested Butte. We will definitely return.
This is a lovely little park in a beautiful setting. It was a great home base for us to explore the towns or Ouray and Ridgeway as well as the many trails for our motorcycle and hiking. The park was very clean and quiet. There are two basic areas. We were in the "front" area which was nice but the "back" area seemed to have more space and there was lots of grass. We will probably opt for that area when we return. We also enjoyed strolling around the campground every evening - it was just lovely. One of the nicest KOA's I've seen.
