This is brand new resort, as of 1-15-13. All lots are available for sale. Very nice sites, level, pavers, and lots of space in between sites. Trees are brand new, so no shade. Resort is right on the river, and has a boardwalk along the shore, but no boat dock. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. The only problem we encountered is the turn from 776 onto Kerrigan Circle road is very narrow and hard to make for big coaches.
Big park 3 miles off I-75. They advertise Passport America, BUT, will not honor rates, however off season rate is reasonable. Long pull-through, but narrow, and very little room between sites, very little shade. Lots of permanent RV's and park models. The park needs some TLC and to either drop PA or honor rates.
Good park for an overnight. Easy on/off I-70, we couldn't hear any road noise. Looks like they are trying to re-do and improve some of the sites. Long, narrow pull-through sites, OK for Big Rigs, no shade. Good Wi-Fi at our site.
Very nice park right of the road, but didn't get any noise. Convenient to Custer state park, and Mt. Rushmore. Sites are all pull through and long. Fairly level, but no shade. Passport America park, with reasonable rates, but close enough to the "attractions". Very Big Rig friendly. Cable is only a few channels, Wi-Fi was good.
This is a beautiful park. Nice shade trees, creek runs through the park. All sites are back-in. Sites are not very level, and most sites are very tight! Cable TV is only a few channels, and Wi-Fi is weak. Did I mention sites are tight? And some with trees IN the site! If you can get a site by the creek, those are wider, otherwise, you'll be on top of your neighbor!
Very nice campground. Pull through sites are long and have very little shade. Some of the back or front in sites have much better shade. Good WI-FI, and cable TV. Our pull in site was level with plenty of room and shade. Office personnel very friendly and helpful. Turkey and deer walk through the campground daily, watch your step!
Very nice campground, under new ownership. We have camped here before, and the previous managers were not very friendly. Big difference now, and they serve Pizza! Long narrow sites, some with shade. 50Amp sites do not have shade. Easy off/on the Interstate, very good for an overnight!
New park, all level concrete sites. NO trees, no pool, and they charge $47! There are no amenities around, not necessarily a good part of town even. A little difficult to find, if using GPS, use exit 1A, NOT 1B off I-135, as the interchange has been recently re-done. Except for the price, and lack of shade, this park could be a real good one.
We stayed here for 5 days, while attending a family event. Big sites, nice and wide, not very level. Very dusty because of no rain for a while. Originally were going to get a pull-through site, but decided on a back in because of shade. Did I mention it's been over 110 every day?! It's an older park, but well maintained. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Rate reflects Passport America and Good Sam discounts.
We have been here before, but the park is going down hill. The interior dirt roads are deeply rutted, and big potholes. The sites have concrete slabs for the tires, but they are breaking and in need of repair. The park has certainly gone down in the last few years.
Very nice park, looks very new. All paved level sites. No shade, and it was HOT! Road to the park is 2 lane but well maintained, and only a couple of miles. It's a Passport America park, but they charge extra for use of a credit card. Overall a good place to camp.
This is an over 55 "snow bird" park. Sites are reserved months or years in advance. Sites are interspersed with Park models. The staff is excellent, the amenities are very good, and in "season" there are lots of activities. A few overnighters do come, but only occasionally. This is a great park if you can get a reservation.
Very nice park. Easy access from I-75. Park is in an old pecan grove. Tall trees, lots of shade. Sites are wide, mostly level, gravel with lots of room for slides. Great for an overnight stay in southern Georgia.
Nice park. Very weird entrance, with a sharp right turn followed by a left turn, and another sharp right. Sites are long but not very wide. Roads are also narrow, with speed bumps. All in all "doable" for a big rig, but NOT friendly.
Nice County park. Sites are paved and mostly shaded, BUT they are narrow, because of LARGE yellow poles protecting the hook-ups. Pool was only open on weekends. Lots of feral cats roaming the area. BIG speed bumps at entrance.
Passport America park. Site was long and mostly level, grass, no shade trees. Won't take a Credit Card for under $25. Good for an overnight stay. Was just a couple of miles from I-75, next to US 301 so some road noise. OK for "Big Rigs."
Yes they give a "military" discount, which is very nice. Close to Helen, and other North Georgia areas. Poor interior roads, with steep slippery gravel. The sites are narrow and close together. Fishing pond is smelly, as is the run off ditch.
OK park, sites are fairly level and long, not very wide. Pull through sites do not have sewer, and you can only stay for 2 nights. If you want to stay longer, must be in a back in site. No discounts. We were close to the office, and could not get Wi-Fi.
Very nice park, nice shady sites, clean. BUT, they advertise as "Big Rig" friendly, and they are not. Road in, is a narrow country road for 3-4 miles. Sharp, blind curves, and steep. In the campground itself the roads are also narrow, with lots of rocks and other side obstructions. Would be OK for smaller rigs, but not Big Rigs.
Old campground with new owners. Renovations under way, cable not available at all sites, nice shade trees, sites are wide, not very level, and newly improved dirt/shell. If all improvements are made as planned, this will be a very nice park. Passport America member.
Sites are narrow, and not very even. Interior roads are rough. Power went on our site. No one at office, no answer on phone, no emergency # posted. Next morning, the "owner's" response was, "things break". We could have lost our pet in the heat and his attitude was not acceptable.
