The website for this campground looks great, but believe me, it is not as it seems. The sites are very crowded, and they accept cash only! Has lots of seasonal campers and not very pleasant surroundings. The place is due for some upgrades. The campground sits just behind a quarry and is close to the main highway which was very noisy. We would not stay here.
We stayed here five nights, on a water front site (301) right next to the restaurant. We thought it was going to be a problem being that close, turned out it wasn't. We woke up every morning to an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean, 50 feet away. The owners play in the little restaurant next door every night from 8 to 11. Pleasant to listen to and the kids could go in. Very interesting place with cliffs and rock structures. We enjoyed it alot, was a bit pricey, but the view is spectacular and makes up for it. We would go back again.
We stayed one night on the way home. Located close to Halifax. Very tight sites, and not very level. One M/H had its front wheels 10 inches off the ground. It was ok for one night. Would not likely go back, for no other reason than it is very cramped. Nice enough place, just not for us.
Beautiful campground, very spacious sites and quiet. Nice little river runs along the property and the owners are very nice. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed the surroundings. I would stay there again.
Very friendly, they went out of their way to help us out for a two night stay, even though they were nearly fully booked. We were on the hill site 37 with a great ocean view. What a beautiful beach they have. Stunning! Some seasonal campers, but all were very friendly and helped with site advise. I think the mayor was right behind us. Would return here in a heartbeat. I will make reservations next time.
Owners are very nice and were able to help us out at the last minute, after attempting to stay at Glenview, 45 minutes away. Stayed one night, and found it very relaxing and quiet. Had lots of room and the sites are fairly level, they appear to be working on them. Slight view of the bay , but only a minute walk to the water's edge. Located close to Beddeck.
Excellent campground, now a KOA, which we usually don't stay at, but this one is nice. We had a waterfront site with a great view and nice surroundings.
Keep on driving! We stayed there on June 30th 2009. What a dump! Looks good until you get past the gate. Stay as a last resort. As mentioned in other post, we concerned about safety. Lots of permanents and looks rundown. Got up at 4AM and left the next morning before daylight.
