What a mud hole! We asked and paid for a premium site but after sliding out our slides, we couldn't walk around the rig without muddying our shoes. The concrete pads could have been no wider than 11' and with our tow-behind, we couldn't fit in the site. PREMIUM?? I think not. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly.
We liked the park a lot. We had asked for site #609 and were directed to a site that we could not fit into, but by the time we got there, our check in girl met us there with apologies for the wrong site. OK, but still not #609. Quite tight spaces for our 40' rig with a toad, but with some gyrations, we were able to fit. The bathrooms were terrific with plenty of hot water and the laundry was top notch. Some late nite noise, but all in all, a pleasant place.
Nice large, flat sites. A bit dusty, but to be expected in this part of Texas. Friendly staff. The only issue is the train that runs through Van Horn every hour on the hour. At least after mid-night, the train stopped blowing their horn.
