Rate is with Good Sam discount. Very nice park manager. Sites are close together, but not painful. CATV has very good reception with bunches of channels. Small beach area on bay. Concrete pads with picnic tables. Overall a good park. Would stay here again.
Good for a night or two. Campground has a lot of full timers and therefore a lot of stuff everywhere. We stayed in a pull-through site for one night as we were passing through area. CATV is limited, with fuzzy reception on most channels. However, the park manager was very nice and helpful. Would stay here again for a night if passing through the area.
Paved roads with paved sites. Sites are very close together. Our bedroom slideout was only about 6 inches from the canopy of the camper next to us. The CATV was terrible. All channels were very fuzzy and painful to watch. We used our antenna. We mentioned this to the office staff and were told that someone would come and check the connection. No one ever showed up. Wi-fi was also very slow. In fact, I had to wait until I got home to write this review because the Wi-fi was so bad I could not get access. On our way to Kemah we had a tire blowout about 100 miles away and we were not sure if we would be able to continue to the campground. We called the campground and were told that we would still be charged for our entire reservation (4 nights) because we did not cancel 72 hours in advance. I could understand being charged for one night, but not all 4 nights. This campground is very close to the boardwalk and restaurants.
Very clean park. Good size sites. Concrete sites and streets. Friendly staff. WiFi very fast and reliable. CATV adequate with approximately 40 channels, good signal. Excellent restaurants within 1-2 miles. Will stay here again if in the area. Rate is with GoodSam discount.
Very nice park. Stayed here for four nights. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Many nice restaurants within 2-3 miles. Only about 5-6 miles from Cowboy Stadium and Rangers Stadium. About 22 miles to downtown Dallas Convention Center. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice campground. We stayed in the Premium sites and they were level with ample room. Sites were a little on the short side. Campground is close to shows and shopping. Cable TV worked great, very clear and sharp picture. Office staff was pleasant. We would stay here again.
Campground is very nice. CATV worked great, WiFi was a little slow, office staff was very pleasant and sites were level with good water pressure and electrical service. There are 2 pools and one water slide pool with 3 tube slides. Near plenty of shopping and restaurants. Only about 15 minutes from the Gulf beaches. And the price of $25 was not bad either. This is our second time here and we will definitely stay here again.
Would rate this campground higher if it had CATV and sewer connections. Also, the Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Otherwise the campground has spacious sites, paved roads and sites, and well maintained landscaping. Located in a woodsy area, therfore there is plenty of wildlife, birds, rabbits, etc. The pool for campers is located a short drive away and is very clean. There is a wave pool open to the public for a fee. Overall this campground and park are in very good condition and quiet.
This park is in a beautiful area, but the people that run the park are not pleasant at all. We had relatives come over from a nearby town for supper, and the park owner made them move their car to the parking lot about 100 yards away. Even though the park was less that 30% full, and the three rows around us had only 4 RV's out of 27 spots, our guests could not park their car by our camper. At check in, the lady could not figure out how to give us our KOA discount on the computer. The process took about 5 times longer that it should. Also, the park advertises free wi-fi, but we were there for 4 days and we were only able to use our computer for about 1 hour. The rest of the time, the signal was so weak, we could not get access. The park has a lot of potential, but it is only average at best. Gravel streets, gravel sites, no CATV, no internet, and owners that are real jerks. It is a park that is good for a night or two, but no more. While we were in the area we checked out some of the other RV parks and found several that we will be using in the future instead of this one.
The best thing about this campground is the huge pull-through sites. Each pull-through is probably 80 feet or more in length. Plenty of room between sites. CATV worked well with approximately 60 channels. Wi-Fi was very, very slow and dropped us a couple of times. Campground office does not have any supplies for sale. No shade trees. When we stayed there were only a few RVs in the campground. Snowbirds had all gone home. Easy access off of I-75, and the entrance into campground is very well marked. Streets and pads are paved with plenty of room to negotiate. Good campground for a few days as you travel. We would stay here again.
Campground was about 50% occupied when we were here. The staff was friendly. We had a paved, pull through site with very easy access. The CATV only had about 25 channels and all but about two channels had fuzzy reception. The WiFi was not free, required a credit card charge of $4 per day. We were not expecting to be charged for WiFi. Some sites were grass sites. Did not shop in the store, so we cannot discuss the prices or the availability of supplies. Located near plenty of restaurants and shopping. Campground was quiet.
This campground is under heavy refurbishing. About half of the campground has been completed with paved streets and sites. The other half of the campground is under construction, but still has sand sites and sand streets. All sites, in the new and old sections, are very unlevel. We noticed that almost every RV had multiple blocks under their wheels to get level. Not sure why the owners would spend so much money on construction and would not take the extra small step to level the new concrete sites. So if you plan on staying here, make sure you bring some leveling equipment. The staff was very polite and friendly. CATV and Wi-Fi worked well, however CATV only has about 25 channels. A couple of good restaurants nearby, but this is not an area with an abundance of things to do. Looks like plenty of charter fishing for those so inclined. Would stay here again for a few nights at a time.
Good campground for a night or two. No recreational facilities at all. Campground has only back-in sites. Area is quiet, not too far from beach and restaurants. W-Fi works good, CATV reception is good. Pricey for what you get.
This is a beautiful campground. Not a large campground, but is beautifully landscaped and all streets are paved with paved sites. The staff was very nice and helpful and the wifi worked well. CATV was adequate, the reception was a little fuzzy. We were disappointed in the site that we stayed in due to the slab was not level. Considering that the owner of this campground is in the masonry business, it would seem that the sites would be level. We would stay here again.
We read some of the other reviews and almost didn't stay here, but we did stay here on a recent trip to the Baton Rouge area, and are glad that we did. The campground is quiet with some large trees and the area is keep clean. It is true that the streets have potholes and some of the parking slabs are cracked, however this is easily overlooked when you visit the campground. The CATV was good and the Wi-Fi signal was strong and very fast. Would rate the campground a 9 if the streets and parking slabs were better. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and plenty of shopping such as a large Bass pro Shop. Would stay here again.
