We camped here 4 nights while visiting family in the area. The campground was clean and well run, but we were disappointed with our campsite. It was very close to the next site. We realized the 2nd day we were there that you could preview the sites and pick out the one you liked, but unfortunately we had not done that. There were sites there with more room than ours, so I recommend doing that. This seemed to be a campground that was mainly for overnight stays. I would recommend this campground if you are looking for an overnight stay, but not for more than a few days. The dog park was nice.
Wonderful view from the premium sites. Very nice campground, close to Asheville. Very highly recommend spending the extra money on the Premium sites if you can. This is our second time staying here this year and we plan on returning. Bathrooms seemed to be fine, but we did not use them. Nice path to the small pond. Very helpful staff. Road up the hill is steep. Recommend using 4 wheel drive when pulling a fifth wheel. Looked at the Yurts and they were also very nice and unique.
This is a very nice small campground a few miles out of Asheville. You do go up a rather steep winding road, but we did not have any difficulty. We had one of the premium sites, which we felt was worth the extra cost. This had a wonderful view of the mountains, with the campsite being at the edge of the mountain. Would not recommend this site for small children, but the other sites that are not rated as premium would not have this safety concern. The store closes early so be sure to get your firewood before 5pm. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the bathrooms or shower so I did not rate this. There are several walking paths well maintained, and the yurts are very interesting. We will most definitely return to this nice campground.
