We stayed here traveling between Florida and Virginia. As thousand trails members this campground is in our network. It is by far the worst we have ever utilized. Office staff not very friendly, pool filled with green dank water, and many tall trees giving the park a dark musty atmosphere. Had to purchase the cable TV offered since we could not get our satellite to work. It rained one day and the park held water for the balance of our visit. We would not ever utilize this campground again.

This is an unbelievably friendly park. About half of the park are seasonal professionals from the DC area who use it as their getaway location. The manager is new and could not be more helpful or concerned about the welfare of her park. The restrooms/shower houses are older but spotless!! The park is remote, yet near local historical sites and a great state park. Pool was not yet open when we visited. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The pros to this park is the proximity to DC and tourist activities. Buy the smartcard and take the metro to DC. It is cheaper and faster to drive to the metro and pay for parking than take the bus from the park, but you have either option. The park facilities are in serious need of cleaning. Bath houses need thorough cleaning. Hot tub jets are weak, but available after a long day of sightseeing. The sauna is reached by walking thru the adult lounge and adjacent the snack bar. Felt very uncomfortable about this. There seem to be workers who have children who roam the snack bar, hot tub and sauna. The staff was nice, but not exceptionally so. We would stay here again, however, the park was not as nice as we had expected.

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. The pet area is wonderful. Large, clean and it even has obstacles for them to play on. After a day in the Badlands, this is a nice place to relax.

We camped her for 2 nights while visiting Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse attractions. The facility was dirty in both restrooms and showers. The women's shower room had the exterior door locked open while the interior doors did not even latch. Shower lights did not work and water was barely warm in two of the three stalls. Laundry was filthy. While the lady who met us upon arrival was nice, the campground was quiet and still at night, we were only the 4th guest in the entire campground. We would not stay here again.

View is excellent. Showers are very nice as well. Downsides are VERY tight spaces and the entry/exit concerns. We stayed in space #2 that was supposed to be large enough for our 38' fifth wheel. Fortunately for us, the camper in front of us left early in the am and we could use their space for exiting. The CG is very close to the highway and log trucks roll until 10 pm and start again at 5 am. This negates the view with the heavy rumbling. I really mean ROLL which is my concern with the turn in and pull out from the CG. Be careful and hope you are not broadsided by one of those trucks! We will not stay here again.

We loved this park so much, we extended our stay from 5 days to 9. Did not realize this park is centrally located to Cannon Beach, Seaside, and Long Beach, WA. This park is very new and the owners could not have been more proud or helpful. They know everything about the area telling us about everything from great cinnamon rolls to a free kayaking class taught by a local park ranger. Sites are the largest I have ever seen and most overlook the golf course. We enjoyed our stay so much we have made reservations for nest year during the Long Beach, WA kite flying competition. Take my advice and stay here if in the area!

Negative: Just one thing. Our 38' RV barely fit into the space. We were not even able to walk beside one of the sides of our unit when parked. The campground did have shrubbery between the sites which helped, however we could hear our neighbors conversations as they sat at their table. Positives: Proximity to many things and areas to visit. The beach access could not be more convenient, the pool is outstanding, excellent laundry facilities. and the desk changed our reservation from a back in to a pull through at the time of entry. We will not stay here again due to the size of the sites.

Beware, this park is approximately 55% lease occupants and they complain about everything. They complained so much the "very nice and helpful" managers apologized about their behavior. The beach is tremendous, however the sites had hookups on the wrong side for fivers/trailers so you have to walk through your sewer hose, water hose and cable wiring each and every time you went into and out of the trailer. We would not stay here again.

This location is wonderful. Campground has direct access to an almost deserted beach. Clubhouse is second to none and the amenities are excellent. Showers are pristine and the laundry is the best I have been in. We stayed in space 13 and the camp host even backed the trailer into the spot. He admitted it really is too small for a 38' 5th wheel. The one downside keeping this campground from getting a perfect 10 is the sewer hookups for trailers and the sewer vent pipe for the whole park being directly adjacent to this spot. Don't stay in #13 unless you are keeping the west windows closed or are not in the trailer much at all. Sewer gas can get "smelly". We would definitely stay here again, just a different site.

Park is filled by predominantly permanent residents. Overnighters are parked in separate section near the back and they are larger and nicer. If you are staying a week or more, you are moved into the small and cramped live-in section. Many of the live-ins "work off their rent by mowing, cleaning, etc". The showers are clean, however one women's handicapped stall was broken for 3 weeks and counting when we left. Grass and sprinklers are in disarray, laundry room is sometimes clean/sometimes not. Office staff can be good or bad depending on who you speak to. We got a virus from the Wi-Fi; it is not password protected. Cable has 16 channels, but not all of them are viewable. The I-5 traffic is so close at times the trailer shakes and it is so loud very few can sit outside to enjoy the nice summer weather. If you want a pool for your kids, they have one. They have a community center, but it closes at 6 PM, as does the office. We have slides on both sides of the trailer and had to walk in the grass as the asphalt pad was covered by the trailer. Rate reflects a monthly rate.
