Stayed two nights while doing genealogy research at the Allen Co. Library (4 miles drive). Friendly "host". Good Wi-Fi. Walking distance to Ruby Tuesday and a Wendy's. Would definitely stay again. Not sure of how many "pull through" sites there are as I didn't notice more than one but there may be more. Free dump station.
Spent a couple nights at this Coast to Coast campground. The new owners, Travel Resorts of Ohio, are making improvements, just slowly. There are two "showcase" sites on the river with concrete pads for the RV and adjoining pad for the table that is at each site. These sites are going it the rate of a couple each year so it will be a while before more are available. The promised Wi-Fi was again not available. In comparison with the Travel Resorts of America (different company) resort in Gettysburg this campground has lots of work to do but only seem to have one maintenance man working. At least the restrooms did not smell.
Mostly seasonal but a few short term sites available. Unlike many other campgrounds with lots of seasonals Bay Shore looked more like an RV resort with most seasonals having decorated and landscaped their plot. Of the hundreds or "permanent" RVs we only saw a couple older units. Nice grounds. Well maintained. We stayed on labor Day so rates were higher. They do offer Senior discount so normal rate would be about $32. Very nice pool and hot tub.
Nice clean park. Wi-Fi at office but since we were only about 100' away I was able to use signal booster to get good reception at site #14. Friendly manager. Clean sites. Noted prohibition of electric heat and electric water heaters so used our propane. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Owners said the park first opened in 70's but they bought it in 2008, and have been making improvements. Their efforts show. Initially thought the park was only a few years old as everything looked relatively new. Heated pool was very clean. Wife rated her shower an 8 only because she has used a new KOA facility room. Wi-Fi only available at the Rec hall but that building was new, clean and had outlets to power the laptop. Would definitely stay here again and can highly recommend this campground. For the price it was definitely a 9 or possibly a 10.
First site which had standing water in it and was muddy had no power from 15A outlet. Checked nearby one and it was also out. Third site had power so moved there. Were just spending the night and mosquitoes were around so didn't venture about. No Wi-Fi at site. Was told it was available on porch of office but didn’t want the long walk or to put up with bugs so did without. No idea why they gave us only 15A electric as I noted the registration book showed lots of openings with 30A. Measured voltage and got 114v. Lots of seasonal but also a number of abandoned sites. Just in front of our site was a site that looked like someone just hooked up and pulled out leaving a damaged deck, sewer hose, wood and cement blocks around the site. This was not the only “abandoned” site I observed. Would not stay here again if I could find a more reasonable campground local to Worcester. Street address is 90 Manchaug Road in West Sutton, MA 01590.
Very nice park. Great Wi-Fi with good speed. Very clean restrooms with a private room including a separate shower. Laundry facilities clean and machines worked well. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.
Wife said, "Great bathroom" as each was separate private room with toilet and shower. Pool looked nice. Weather wasn't the best so we didn't check all the facilities. Minor issue with electric as the first site had no power and the pedestal needed repair. They quickly moved us to another site. Entrance road off 209 will be a challenge for Class-A coming from or headed to North due to very sharp turn. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed at this campground during Gypsy Journal Rally. We had one of the 20amp sites but the electricity only measures 98 volts so could not run AC or even our microwave to cook. Grounds were clean. WiFi was slow to non-existant. It is possible the Electric and WiFi problems were due to having over 275 RVs at the campground. They offer over 330 sites but appear not able to support half that many. Liked the pool as it was HOT, in the 90's. Pool made the ranking move up from a 4 to a 5.
Great park, part of Army Corp parks. About half the sites are aimed at tent campers. Most sites have partial shade. Road to the campground is rough and the main roads in the area are very hilly so you will need to take your time. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Many have fire ring and picnic table. Some sites can only handle RV of 35' or smaller. We had no problems with our Class C. We have stayed at this park twice. Reservations on www.recreation.gov . Senior Pass discount is 50% so only $11 a night.
This location is closed to overnight camping. Only seasonal camping is available based on sign posted at the old office. I was told it had been closed for two years. Do not confuse this RV campground with Miller Riverview Campground about 1/2 mile away on Riverview Park Rd but on the same island.
Nice, clean, quiet RV park. Only negatives: Bring mosquito spray, as we got bit pretty bad in the few minutes it took to BBQ dinner. We ate inside. Not sure what mid afternoon is like but could not enjoy the nice evening weather because of mosquitoes. Internet OK for email but very slow to lock up if you try any video. Park has strong signal but is maxed out at 11Mbps.
Nice grounds and facilities. Was raining so we could not evaluate swimming pool or river access. They have a laundromat. Sites are all level grass with paved roads. Price a bit steep for just overnight use but maybe if we had been able to use pool, etc. it might be worth it. Sites had a small concrete pad and picnic table. A nice extra feature. Registration was friendly.
While it is next to the interstate we did not find the noise objectionable. Not sure how to answer "Clean" restrooms. They have a small building with 2 rooms. Doors were open so there were leaves blown in but no smell or odors. We would definitely stay again. There is a nice duck pond at the location and grounds and lawn were cut.
