This park is a public county park with eight free full hook- up sites. There are several very nice, very big, kids' playgrounds and many open play fields. There is a walking trail through the park with some wooded sections. Staff was friendly and helpful. Gate is locked from 10 PM to 7 AM. Sites are concrete and level, fairly close together with grass in between. Close to Highway 249 near downtown Tomball. We would stay here again.

Stayed here 2 nights. Heavily forested park. Good access roads and pads. Very helpful park staff. 2 boat ramps to access lake. Around 10 miles from Atlanta, TX if you need something. Very nice leaf colors changing in the fall.

Site rate plus a per/person entrance rate. Good playground area for our kids. Good paved access roads, some concrete pads for RV's. Lots of space between sites. Park store has putt-putt-golf. Boat ramp and marina supplies. Basketball court, sand volleyball court. Fishing supplies available in park store. Huge pine trees throughout park. Great place for day trips or extended stays. Limited small-town craft shopping in Coldspring, TX nearby.

No playground for the kids. Good in-ground swimming pool. Clean park, good gravel driveway and pads. Park sits behind RV Sales location. Lots of extended stay workers from the surrounding area. Easy in/out for an overnight stay. Access from I-45 frontage road, but way off road so you don't hear traffic from Interstate. Good 1 night stop.

We stayed 1 night. Swimming Pool is above ground, away from campsites. Staff was helpful when I needed to borrow a ladder. Park was clean & well maintained. Good stopover for a night. No playground for the kids when we were there.

We stayed here 1 night. Clean park. Had a large air-up jumping play area for kids for another fee. We chose not to do that. Small, clean playground for the kids. Sold pizza out of the office. Not sure there is much to do close by except drive to Omaha or Lincoln. We went to the Omaha Zoo, just a short drive away.

Campground has good playground for kids. Driveway can be dusty, but they use a water truck to wet it occasionally. We camped when High Park Wildfire was burning and staff answered questions and kept us informed. Close to Big Thompson Canyon Hwy 34 route entrance going into Estes Park. River sites on gravel only, no grass. Small cabins did not have A/C when we arrived so relatives cancelled reservations in cabins upon arrival. Before our 9 day stay ended, they had installed window unit A/C's. Good campground to base from and drive to Rocky Mountain National Park or surrounding towns.
