Used the place as a stop over for two nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The park was OK but on one day the restrooms and showers were not as clean as one could expect. It seemed that no one was available to do the job due to a Sunday and/or public holiday. It got cleaned the next day, however. Since the interstate is close, it's not the most quiet place but still OK enough to get some sleep.

The park itself is OK. It's quiet at night and overall clean. The Wi-Fi however, which you have to pay for separately, is a mere joke. I could hardly ever get a signal, even close to the restrooms where the antenna was placed.

Can confirm the last review: this is a nice and clean park. Not too much to do here if you're not into horses, but definitely OK for an overnight stay or when you just want to relax. Would probably choose this park again. No Wi-Fi here, so bring your own internet.

Made a one-night stop there and can recommend this RV park. Staff was friendly and helpful, park was clean and well maintained. Wi-Fi was a little bit slow, but maybe this will change soon - according to one of the staff members they are currently improving the Wi-Fi service in the park. Discount for Good Sam members is offered. Felt safe and comfortable at this park and would stay there again.

The state park itself is very nice with a couple of trails which are suitable for hiking as well as biking. However, the camping sites are not very well laid out, too close together and little privacy. Try to stay away from site number CI001 as far as possible because this is where the below mentioned noisy pump is located. Very family friendly park, and the kids I've seen seemed to have enjoyed their stay very much.

Sites are huge but there are only a few trees and no shrubs etc. so there is not too much privacy. Restrooms/showers are ok but it seems hot water is either limited or nonexistent. Campground is ok but not particularly attractive.

Park is situated close to a lake and generally in nice surroundings. Showers/Restrooms are clean and in good condition. There is only one shower (in each men's and women's bathrooms). Sites are level and quite spacious. Can recommend this park.

Nice, clean park, and quiet at night. Most sites are for mobile homes. Wi-Fi is available for free and working very well but only on the back of the office building or when you're close to it. Felt very comfortable at this park and would stay there again. We are traveling without GPS and had some difficulties finding that park since there is no sign at the street which is leading to it from highway one.

A basic but beautiful park with spacious sites. Park is in a forest. Abundance of birds provides a nice background sound. Would give 10 points if it had showers.

The park is neither particularly charming nor particularly ugly and offers the standard you'd expect from a KOA campground. The reason why I give only seven point: You can hear noise from the highway, the sites offer little privacy and WiFi is not for free - given these facts, I think 98 incl. tax is a little exaggerated.

The campground is beautifully situated on a lake. Sites are gravel and rather spacious. Each site equipped with grill. The showers/restrooms are old and could use some refurbishment. But they were clean. Wi-Fi worked well. Park has lots of nice big trees which are full of Spanish moss. All in all a beautiful park with reasonable rates, hence the eight points I give this park. Maybe not so suitable for very big rigs, better check ahead.

This is a nice peaceful park. It has lots of trees (=lots of shade), smells a bit like you're in the forest. Most sites are indeed for longterm stays in mobile homes. RV sites are grass only. Yes, there are a few potholes but if your rig survived the potholes on the interstates at 65 mph, it'll also survive these here at 10 mph. Bath/restrooms are a bit old but clean. It has a beautiful riverfront and there are a couple of benches to sit and lurk for gators. Staff was friendly and helpful. Alternating activities are offered within the park (e.g. the time I've been here, one evening was karaoke night). Would stay here again.

I stayed at this park for almost two weeks. Good things about this park are the very helpful owners and the offered shuttle service. Also, despite the fact that it's not located in a nice area, I never felt insecure at this park. The machines in the laundry are working OK and the bathrooms' condition is also OK. In general, it's rather clean. I didn't use the pool and hot tub. I only saw people using it - since they had smiles on their faces, I suppose it can't be that bad. Wi-Fi worked very well most of the time. Negative: The park is not what you call beautiful and indeed a little small so when the park is full you're a bit crammed like sardines. The trains are really noisy and I'm not sure if they have anything like "quiet hours" (in an older review someone suggested they may stop at 11 pm). At the time I've been there, there was a very noticeable smell of propane coming from the neighboring property. As mentioned before the restrooms were in good condition but at that time were cleaned irregularly and not daily. I still give this park seven points because the price/value ratio is absolutely OK. I'd definitely stay here again and it's a good alternative to the maybe fancier but more expensive RV parks in NOLA. Yes, there are a lot of cats (around ten) but those are not stray cats; they are all well kept and if you don't like cats, you can still just stay out of their way. They'll most likely stay out of yours unless you leave your trash in front of your rig. Price reflects the weekly rate including tax.

My wife and I stayed there for three nights. Staff was friendly as well as the residents we met. Pool, Restrooms and Showers were clean. Whole park is well maintained. For those who stay longer there are some convenient services like propane-tank pickups, refills and delivery back to the site. The park's focus seems to be more on longtime residents and mobile homes, so the sites for the RVs are not particularly attractive (but relatively quiet because they are rather far away from nearby I-10). They are simply like a parking lot with a tree next to it and of course the hookup panels. Slightly annoying: Wi-Fi is free only in the office building. Wi-Fi on your site is available for a fee only. Still, we felt comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We would come back there again if in the area and looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights.

I can confirm the information of the postings before. Park is very well maintained, nice and clean. Owners are very accommodating. Felt totally comfortable there. Wi-Fi was working well. Park is located directly on the main road and could use a wall or more bushes to reduce the street noise a bit. The park is not one of the cheapest and in my opinion it's a little bit too pricey but still OK for the value.

Loved this place for its location, quietness, fresh sea breeze and the sound of the waves. Showers and Restrooms are quite new and get cleaned daily. Sites are level and come with a grill. Yes, there are no hookups but the dump station just outside the campground is very easy to access. For 8 USD per night I think this is great value, I can definitely recommend this place. Campground host is helpful but don't rely on his information about how to treat stings by jelly fish - better get informed beforehand.

Rate reflects AAA discount. Stayed there for three nights. Place is average, Wi-Fi is working OK (negative: it's an unsecured Wi-Fi). Restrooms/Showers are a bit old but they get cleaned daily. They've got a recreation room with some fitness equipment and a few games like an air hockey table but both seem a little old, too. Didn't use either. Sites are grassy with a concrete porch. There are a lot of permanents which leads to some traffic noise early in the morning when everybody leaves for work (and in the evening when they return). Bottom line: OK for a couple of nights but nothing where I would spend my holiday or the winter months.

Positive things first: Owner is a cool guy and gave us good advice where to go in town. Rates are cheap, WiFi was working excellent and all in all we felt comfortable on this campground. On the more negative side: As someone mentioned before, the park could use some maintenance and a little more attention. Laundry is equipped with quite old machines, bathroom/restroom is a bit shabby and it seems it doesn't get cleaned daily. Also there's only one bathroom for each men and women. And last but not least, the office is open a bit irregularly which can be a problem if you desperately need something - like quarters for the laundry. Bottom line - not my first choice but still ok for a couple of nights if you're looking for an affordable place with wifi and laundry.

Liked this place very much. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful and the location itself is beautiful and peaceful. Firepits on each site. At the time me and my wife stayed there, the WiFi was still horribly slow most af the time. You also should be aware of the fact that there is exactly one bathroom with shower for the whole campground. Still, definitely would stay here again.

Sorry to say that in my opinion this park is good only for an overnight stop. The hookup sites are on a large area that resembles a Walmart parking lot. There are a lot of flies that bother you once you sit or try to eat outside. Restrooms and showers are quite modern and get cleaned daily but showers are located a bit far from the hookup sites and you have to pay for it. There is not much to do there. Swimming is not recommended. Sunsets are very picturesque though.

Spacious RV park; easy to park. Level sites and modern hookup connectors. Large heated pool and a modern laundry. A big plus is the location of the park. It's close to attractions like the Museum of Fine Arts and in general it's easy to get into town. Only two things I disliked about that park: Some of the fitness equipment in the recreation room should be repaired or replaced and depending where your site is located it can be rather noisy due to traffic from the adjacent streets and highway. Apart from that, I would definitely stay here again. Rate reflects AAA discount.

What makes this park a good destination is the location. A few steps and you're at the beach. At night it's also very quiet apart from the very nice brawling of the sea. The reason why I give only six points is the price. For a site at the beach with hookups the rate is 25 USD. Additionally, you have to pay a 5 USD entrance fee per person. So effectively, the rate for two persons per day is 35 USD. I think that this is a little too high considering what you get in return, e.g. the restrooms are OK, but there is no soap. There is no Wi-Fi. I realize that State Parks rarely have WiFi but most of the time they charge less. There are no separate bins for recyclables like plastic bottles etc. Lights in showers can't be turned off after you're done because there is no light switch. So the bottom line is that it's nice and quiet but too expensive for the value.

Campground was just in that shape that you'd expect from a resort like this. Topnotch showers/restrooms, a nice pool and hot tub, whole campground clean and in good condition. Very new laundry - the machines can even send you a text message when done. Trash pickup at your site. Campground is equipped with a gate and there are even guards. Don't know if that is really necessary but it's good to have them around. Stayed there for four days and would return if in the area.

Stayed there one night as a stopover. Although the park itself is OK (clean, level sites, easy accessible) it's not one of my favorites. It's almost only gravel, the vicinity of the interstate makes it quite noisy, there is only one single bathroom (one for men/women each) for the whole campground and my overall impression was that this place is only about making money. Of course there is nothing wrong with having a well going business but this place just looked nu-charming and impersonal. The Wi-Fi was almost unusable at the time we've been there. Positive: they're strict about barking dogs and have a zero tolerance policy about aggressive breeds like bull-terriers and the like. Also their website is up to date. In short: good for a stopover.

Stayed there for two nights, used the RV park as a base from where to visit Chiricahua Monument and Fort Bowie (which I both can highly recommend). Positive about Magic Circle: friendly staff, a website which is up to date, clean restrooms and showers, sites that are easy to access, propane available and level sites. What I liked not so much: The park itself is OK but as it is mostly gravel it it's not very charming, and since it is located directly next to I-10, it is a bit noisy. So all in all, I would stay there again as a stopover or when going to the above mentioned natl. monument, but it's not a holiday destination. Price reflects AAA-discount.

My wife and I stayed four nights at Travelers World. This RV park was one of those where I instantly felt comfortable. Well kept, clean, very nice people on the other sites (many seem to be long timers). You could hear the traffic from outside the park, but I found that it wasn't too noisy, also at night. The trains that passed somewhere nearby where the most annoying (their horns respectively). As some reviewers mentioned, the surrounding areas are a bit rundown, but I have seen much worse and felt at no time unsafe. I can repeat the recommendation of an earlier review: If you have a longer vehicle, try not to approach Travelers World via the street named Southcross. The bump over the railroad tracks there is immense, and your rig might not like it. All in all, a very recommendable place. I would definitely stay there again.

Woods Valley is a nice campground and all in all I can recommend it. Stayed there for about a week. Pros: friendly and helpful staff, with very nice surroundings. As the name suggests, it's in the woods. It has an ATM and I suppose it's quite adventurous for children. Cons: In my opinion, it is a little bit too pricey compared to other campgrounds I've been. Wi-Fi is availabe but only in/near the office. You can conveniantly sit on a bench infront of the office to use it, though.

A basic but beautiful park. We stayed four nights there and can recommend it. The strenuous dog canyon trail is definitely worth hiking. It has stunning views. Showers and toilets were in very good shape and cleaned daily. Park is located on a hill and offers a very nice view of the valley. Its location makes it very quiet. Only slightly negative experience was that the dump station was out of order. Apart from that, definitely would come back here.
