This is dry camping with great views. Good access to everything out on Homer Spit. Dump station and water available in campground. No electrical hookups.
The office staff are very nice & helpful at this park. The park itself is noisy, and the sites are small. Its right next to the railroad tracks. The restrooms/showers are not great. I stayed here because the park is within walking distance of downtown Anchorage. The rate is $26 with no hookups. Discount for Good Sam.
This is a good park and good location. Its close to shopping and Lost Dutchman State Park and the Superstition Mountains. The monthly rate in December 2006 was $260 plus electricity. very reasonable for the area.
The Park location is good. But it is about 1/2 mile from the freeway and trains. You can hear traffic outside the RV but train horns are heard inside. And there's a lot of trains. It is an older park. Be sure to check the power before plugging in. (my first site had an electrical problem and i moved to another site) The park does hire professionals to fix these type problems when they hear about them.
