We didn't camp here. We only went to the park for a family get together. The picnic area was very nice and shady, and we didn't notice any bugs at all. There are so many things to do in the park; a carousal, a little water area for kids to play in, a reptile area, a zoo with quite a few different animals, gift shops, a mini train ride, and a few other things too. This is the nicest park I've ever been too. I would positively recommend this park, especially if you have children.
The owners were very rude. We were told that the sites were secluded and wooded. The site was an open field with 2 trees and only a few feet away from a cornfield. The only wooded sites were the permanent sites. The sites were small and close together. We had 4 young children in our group and 3 young guys camped next to our site. They came back late at night and were laughing and talking very loud about girls in a sexual way. I would not recommend staying at this campsite.
