We stayed in the newer Cottonwood campground portion of the park. All of the sites are very well spaced from each other, level and have plenty of grass around, with the exception of the outlining southern and western sides of the park, which are dirt. There are many trees, however they are still rather small for adequate shade. Give them a few more years to mature and they'll be great shade trees. The water, power, sewer and Wi-Fi (which all worked well) are included in the price for the Cottonwood section. There is a well equipped onsite store, a small waterpark and mini-golf course for the kids. There's also a small man-made lake within walking distance, which is regularly stocked by the county if you're into some fishing. Weekdays are generally easy to get a site, however weekends seem to fill up pretty quick with local RV'ers out for a quick weekend getaway, so make your weekend reservations well in advance. We would definitely stay again.

Overall this is one of the nicer parks in the area, however it is a bit dated on the interior as the sewer connections are at the back end of the site, so bring your long sewer hose. They also insist that sewer lines be elevated from the ground from the rig to the connection, so be sure you have a hose support system or blocks, otherwise you'll get a visit from the security guy who skulks around new arrivals waiting for them to hookup without one, and will then stop and try to sell you his version of a support system. The asphalt roads inside are also cracking, breaking and could use reconditioning. There are plenty of trees around, some of which do provide some shade. The pool/spa area is nice and clean, as are the restrooms and showers. There are military jets flying nearby during the weekdays, but the weekends are pretty much quiet.
