This is a great overnight stop or as an extended stay as I use it, have family in the area. I was close to the office but my Wi-Fi worked fantastic, I would be on the 5 or 6 hours at a time and no issues at all. Laundry room was spotless and had front load machines, thirty five minutes to wash and less then forty five minutes to dry. Also really enjoy have a nice picnic table to sit at. I had planned on staying a week but unexpectedly had to stay two and a half weeks, but it was on a daily basis because I didn't know how long I would be there. The office staff bent over backwards to arrange things so I wouldn't have to change spaces. My hat goes off to the manager and the entire staff that work in the office.
Have to agree with the previous two posters, but would add our spot was C11 and it wasn't much more unlevel than most places. There are lots of trees and we saw elk wander through on two mornings. . Bus pick-up was a couple hundred feet from our site and you can connect with four other routes that take you almost anywhere in the park for free. We would certainly recommend this park to anyone.
Great campground. Agreed with positive comments from previous posters. We were in space six and on first pull through. I was level front to back and side to side! We were only staying one night and I didn't even have to unhook. At sign in the office offered a buy one get half off coupon for the buffet at the Iron Skillet at the Petro. That's hardly a 5 minute walk. It does not have a pool but with all the shade trees it would be a nice place to be for a couple of days.
This is truly a great park. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. Grounds are always immaculate. Around 80 channels on the cable and free wi-fi that has always worked great. In the past year they put new tables at every site, a real nice plus. The only negative is some of the sites could use some side to side leveling. I certainly would recommend this park to anyone.
Stayed one night. No pull throughs, but plenty of room for backing in. Guess the snowbird season is over because the park was almost empty. Good water pressure and power, no cable TV, and I had a little trouble with the WiFi. Not much here, but it seemed kept up. Quite a few weeds about, but I was told they had just sprayed for them. Not a lot of choices in the area. We would stay again.
The prior posters have just about said it all. Laundry room was spotless and the machines worked well. We really enjoyed the cement patio and table. To me the only drawback was no WiFi at the sites. Other than that, it is truly a thumbs up park. We would definitely stay here again.
Stayed 1 night in a pull through site which was level front to back, and side to side. Site was long enough for the truck and 5th wheel. Had good cable TV selection and the free WiFi worked great. This is basically a mobile home park that caters to RV's. Because of the earthquake, alot of the permanent rigs had shaken off their supports and we rock and rolled a little the night we were here. There isn't a lot to chose from in El Centro. We would stay here again.
All I wanted was a space for one night where I didn't have to unhook. The first greeter sent us to the big landing strip. I pulled all the way forward and we waited for about 10 minutes and no second greeter. My wife headed back to where we thought maybe the office was. This is a big complex and finding the correct office wasn't easy. Probably in snowbird season it is not a problem, but as business moves on so does the help. If you are staying one night you get a total parking lot experience. All blacktop and cement: no trees, bushes or grass or gravel. Good luck getting your dog to the pet run before it's too late. We always pick up after our pet but I can't pick up liquid. This place was just a little too sterile for us.
Tough park to rate, lots of +'s but some -'s also. Nice long LEVEL sites and a nice cement patio. The sites are back in but more than enough room to maneuver into the space. For a private park there was a good amount of space between rigs. The ducks didn't bother us but I know they can be messy. Because it's all grass there is also automatic sprinklers that can mess up a clean rig or tow vehicle. I am not a big fan of having my stuff getting washed by errant sprinklers. We were only there one night and they didn't come on. I did see a lot of high dollar coaches there so they must keep the sprinklers properly adjusted. To us the other negative was the trees and birds, because of the season a lot of tress had no leaves which made the pine trees prime property. For about and hour in the morning and again in the evening the birds were so noisy it was like you were in an aviary. I'm not talking a few birds, I'm talking about a LOT of birds. I would have liked to have a picnic table and cable, but the price is right. We would stay here again.
Nice clean park. A little road noise from the Hwy but very tolerable. Nice level pull through and long enough I didn't have to unhook. However we did for sight seeing. It is all gravel, so I can see an issue if the wind was blowing, but we had good weather. We had a great Wi-Fi signal and they have basic cable TV. I mentioned I had a dish and the super lady checking us in said I will put you in the newer section as the trees are not as established. We have been in this area before and there is a lot to see. Manzanar, Alabama Hills and a western museum with a lot of old movie star stuff. We will certainly stay here again.
Stayed in a pull through that had to be 70' long. It was blacktop and a little gravel. Golf cart took us to the site. Nice touch in parks this big. Pet friendly. Fairly easy walk to fast food and a couple of coffee shops. We thought is was very clean and would stay again. Not cheap but certainly the nicest one in Hemet.
Spent two nights here while we checked out the Tetons. Pull through sites nearest the road appear to be longer and wider than the ones in the rear, where we were at. Space was a little narrow and had to unhook as this pull through wasn't long enough to stay coupled. Had to unhook to sight-see so really no big deal. Satellite was easy to set up and the Wi-Fi worked good. Very nice pet area. Staff was very nice and friendly. We would stay here again.
Overall not a bad place for a stopover. A few permanents throughout the park and as the previous poster stated it sits across the street from an apartment house and the park isn't fenced, but it appears security isn't an issue. Very level sites and the cable and the Wi-Fi worked great, also pet friendly. It didn't bother me but my wife wasn't real keen on the surroundings. Not sure if we would stay here again.
Easy access from freeway and easy to find. Looks like it used to be a KOA. Owners were very friendly. A very clean campground. The cable TV and the wifi worked great and it is quite pet friendly. Heard the trains a few times during the night, but no big deal to us. We would certainly stay here again.
Pretty typical KOA. Nothing special but the grounds were clean and it was pet friendly. Wi-Fi and cable worked great. There was a little freeway noise but we were 6 rows away from the road. As we found on this trip the amenities start shutting down after Labor Day so no cafe and trash pick up. Overall not bad. We would stay here again
Really nice campground in a beautiful setting. Site we were in had a little road noise but very tolerable. Very clean and well kept. As previous poster said deer and turkeys roam through the park. Some spaces looked a little unlevel but the pull thru we were in was fine. Wi-Fi and cable worked great. Very pet friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
Maybe it's the time of year but you could not walk outside without stepping on so many stickers (goatheads) that you couldn't wear your shoes or sandals back into your rig. Otherwise a nice setting and in space #1 we didn't hear any freeway noise. Might stay here again but not at this time of year.
Very pleasant KOA. Pet friendly and very quiet. Rather nice laundry facilities and the Wi-Fi worked great. Office staff was nice and very knowledgeable about the area. This park like most others in the surrounding states start cutting back on the amenities after Labor Day. Would certainly stay here again.
A nice park, tables at every site. Site was long enough that I didn't have to unhook. The west side is newer and the sites are much wider than the older section. One drawback is the utility placement. They are closer to the front of the sites than the rear. I needed my water hose and electric cord extensions to reach the box. Staff is super nice. Would stay here again.
Nice long 70'+ sites and wide. We also agree with the previous poster that picnic tables would be nice. Very nice patio area secluded from your neighbors. We were in space 66 and had no WiFi issues. Certainly would stay again.
Very clean park. Rock and pavement, no gravel. I was in a pull through and didn't have to unhook. The pull through sites taper off on the backside so it would be a long way down to drop rear stabilizers. On 1 night stays I usually don't drop front or rear stabilizers. The office was closed when we arrived but the manager saw us pull in and unlocked the door for my wife to check-in. Staff was friendly and the Safeway store is right around the corner.
Usually stay at Black Rock across the street but thought we would try something new to us. The park is very similar to Black Rock, mostly full timers and spaces for travelers. Long pull through sites, very level but gravel. No windstorms, so no problems. Wi-Fi is free and each campsite has a cement patio slab, nice touch. We would certainly stay here again.
We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This is not a new park by any means. We enjoy more grass and gravel than blacktop and cement. The creek and all the greenery really makes this place unique. Wasn't real crazy about the location of their pull throughs so we picked a back in with a long cement patio with table, fire ring and bar-b-q. It was long enough for our 33 foot FW and the truck. Didn't need to unhook. The staff was great to us, took us around in a golf cart to show us empty spaces. They rent DVD's at the office and have a small store with the bare basics, not sure if the store is open all year. No cable and borderline Wi-Fi, but a nice clubhouse and a big porch and tables to access the Wi-Fi. The spot we were in, did receive a signal but not real strong, Wi-Fi was included. At $50.00 a night I thought it was a little pricey but we certainly would go back again. Oh yeah, I think the geese could be a problem, but we didn't have any. They just added to the experience.
What a find. No pull through's but relative easy back in's. Most sites are long, all cement with a cement patio and table plus a fire pit and grill. Some sites are pretty open but not real close and some sites are real private. One drawback or plus is no reservations, first come first served. Don't forget the bug spray like we did. Because of the lake the skitters get a little hungry twice a day. Rangers and staff were all great. Can't wait to go back.
Wi-Fi at the office but not in the campground. Only cell service was AT&T. Very quiet park, we were there mid week. It is about 30 miles from the town of Julian. Apparently this is an old park that has just re-opened. We would stay there again.
Signed in and paid for two nights, and were given a choice of sites. We checked them out, and a few were very good size. Upon further inspection I realized that they were only water and electric, no sewer. Went back to office and inquired, and found out only permanent residents had sewer, and maybe not all of them. It gets pretty cold up there. The manager said that none of the campgrounds in the area have sewer hook ups. They had 3 dump stations but I didn't feel like dumping to start with and then dumping again before we left. He refunded our money and we went on our way.
Stayed two nights and the wind never let up, obviously not the parks fault, so we weren't outside at all. Cable tV and WiFi worked great. We were in a back-in that held our 33 ft plus toad, so I didn't have to unhook. Also the site we were in was paved and level. The staff was very friendly and we would stay here again.
Very, very clean park. Appeared that some of the residents were full timers but were very friendly. The restrooms could stand a coat of paint but were very clean and comfortable. Wifi was extra but at $26.00 a day that was understandable. We would stay here again
Overall a quite nice stopover. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All sites had a table, drawbacks, no cable and the pull through site we were in was very unlevel. I had to unhook from the TV and move it to allow the front of the FW to lower so we could be level. Other than that a little hiway noise but livable. Lots of trees, we would stay again, I would just make sure I was in a better site.
What a great place. The staff was very friendly, rest rooms, showers and laundry room were spotless. Very wide and deep pull throughs, every site had a table. No cable, but with the antennae we received at least six channels and they were very clear. Can't wait to go back.
