Wow, this park is way out in the country in the Jefferson National Park. About 6 miles via a very narrow, windy road. We were in a 35' pulling a car and good thing we never met anyone coming the other way. The park itself is nice, but very tight for bigger rigs. Not a place to stay for a night or two while on the road (like we did), but probably okay for a week to 'get away from it all'. Nothing in the area to do and the only way to get to anywhere else is by that narrow road. Internet is by satellite and sometimes had problems. No cable TV and obviously nothing by antenna. Lady in office was very nice.
Price reflects Passport America discount. Very nice, relaxed, rustic park. Roads are dirt and no cement pads which was not important to us, but might be an issue for some. Has activities if you're interested: pot-luck, poker, etc. Nice pool. Beaches are very close with clean, fine, white sand. Not much else to do in area. Lots not real large, but big enough for our 35'.
Very nice park with easy access to both Houston and Galveston. Paved roads, gravel sites, cement patio and picnic tables under wooden roof. Wide sites and long enough for 40'ers. Rate was Passport America. 50% good for 3 days and then 25%. Nice girl in office. Would definitely stay again.
Not a bad place, but pretty old. Sewer hookup was on wrong side of site, so they said 'pick anyone you want'. Lots of permanent people. Near a Navy Military base, so lots of noisy jets overhead. It's close to the King Ranch, which is what we wanted.
$15 was the Passport America rate. Normally only good for 14 days, but they weren't full, so they let us use it for the rest of our stay. Friendly & helpful employees. We received a package, and they brought it right to our unit. This is an 'over 55' park. Lots of activities: bingo, cards, pot-luck, weekly live entertainment. Central location to lots of local sites/entertainment. If we were in the area again, we would definitely stay here.
