We camped here in a 40' 5th wheel. We had to park the truck so close to the side of the camper that we couldn't even use the rear door. We had to squeeze the truck in. Note that some sites have you park your truck right next to your camper under where the awning would be. We were in a pull-through that was nice and long. There is a nice grassy area on both sides of the sites and the grass is kept up very well. We also had two dogs with us and their paws were always clean after a walk:) No sand around the sites. The campground is only about a mile from the bridge to the Navarre beaches. We just parked at the public parking area there and the water and sand were gorgeous. There is also a lifeguard at that part of the beach. This was our first time in this campground and would camp here again. It was very clean, roads are paved, our site was level, they have special water spigots for you to wash your rig, pool was nice, beach on the Sound in the back of the campground was nice -- had picnic tables and tiki umbrellas. We did have to pay an extra $5 for each child -- we have two young children.
The campground is very large and the sites are all very different depending on which loop you are on. Some sites are almost level and others are almost impossible for you to get your camper level. Some are very shaded and close to each other where others are more open. Some sites have a very steep dropoff at the rear of the site so if you have young children this could be an issue. The pool, playground and sand volleyball areas are nice. Our site was directly across from the sand and my children enjoyed playing in the sand every day. There were Krispy Kreme donuts every morning under the pavillion which was nice. I did notice that the employees speed through the campground either in golf carts or regular vehicles. Overall, we liked the campground and would camp here again.
The campground is fairly close to the beach. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. The roads and sites are paved. The campground itself is small so you can easily walk to the pool. There is no shade at all and it can get very hot. Also, there is sand between the sites and not grass. There is not a lot of space between sites. Our slide-out was almost touching our neighbor's picnic table.
This campground is one of my favorites. The grounds are always clean, as are the bath houses. The roads and sites are all paved. The campers with pets are separate from the campers without pets. Also, the pets are only allowed in the pet loops. The cast members are always helpful and friendly. There are a lot of activities in the campground itself including a nightly campfire and sing-a-long. The campground is very large and golf carts are available to rent. My only complaint is that the sites can be very difficult to back into.
This is a large campground with paved roads and paved sites. There is grass rather than sand between sites. The campground has a lot of amenities and is clean but could use more shade. The wi-fi is hit or miss. There were many times when the signal was so low that I was unable to use the internet. The people who work at the campground are not very friendly or nice, especially the security guy and the older lady at the front desk. In a way, this detracts from the campground. There are several bath houses but I only used the one closest to our site. I like the set-up where there are four private toilet/sink/shower rooms. Unfortunately, the same trash was on the shower floor for the entire week. Also, the toilet bowls were not cleaned for the entire week. In one there was no hand soap and in another there was no toilet paper, again, for the entire week. Overall, we like this campground but it does have it's problems.
