The rates on their web site are NOT the rates you get when you pull in. We stayed for a month and got a different rate each week, each higher than the last. The park was very nice, lots of shaded spots, good dog walking areas. There was quite a bit of bickering and gossip going on in the club house with the staff. We were not welcomed as well as the older travelers, so we did not fit in at the pool and weekly events. Overall it was a good stay, but we will look elsewhere next time.
We stayed here for a couple of months during winter, for work. The park is basically some outlets in a swamp with gravel sites. The water froze on a regular basis for days on end. When owner was notified, all she could say was her husband was a plumber and was out taking care of other stuff for his plumbing customers. When the water wasn't frozen, it backed up and raw sewage stood ankle deep on sites. There are no concrete pads, just gravel/mud. Some vehicles were stuck in the mud for days. They have people that come knock on your door to recruit you to come to their church onsite, and leave flyers on your vehicles. They kept trying to make us move from our site to the "back row" where several residents have junked up the place and have dogs running loose. We told them if we hooked up, we were pulling out so they left us alone. The laundry room is a storage shed and most of the machines didn't work. There was no water pressure. We will not stay here again. It was very shaded, though, so may not be as bad in summer.
Very quiet park. Lots of good walking trails through the palmettos. Tons of deer to watch and we walked up on a baby hog. Sites are small and have no growth in between for privacy. You can see every site in the small park. All have grills, fire rings and table. Everything was clean. Good park to see once.
Great park with large sites and concrete pads. Good shade in almost every site. Great fishing in day use area. Picnic tables & fire rings are everywhere. Quiet camping. Easy to pull in. We stay here a lot. Rate is Park pass rate.
A great park with shady sites. Concrete pads with picnic tables and fire rings. Large sites with good privacy. Room to spread out. Few sites with water front or water view. Those sites were eroded and needed attention. Day use area away from the camping sites, with a swimming beach. We camped here with kids and a boat and had a great time. Will stay again.
In a very bad neighborhood, but we stayed here for the better part of 2008 for work without incident. Coded gate entrance. Very nice rigs coming in and out. I felt safe here alone when my husband was at work. Owners live in park and are helpful. Small dog run. Has cabins and tent area. Always clean and manicured. Lots of room to throw a ball for your kids or dogs.
Beautiful park with tons of deer. Sites are large with concrete pads. Easy to maneuver. We stayed here all the time. Nothing bad about this park except the new ranger that is a little bothersome. He will knock on your door at the crack of dawn if something bothers him about your campsite. Bathhouses are always clean and warm in winter. Rate is Park Pass rate.
My husband was here for a few months for work at a rate of $465 a month. The park is clean. Some sites up front have good shade. It is easy to get to. Sites are very small. There is no room to park. We had to park up front and walk to our camper, they don't want your vehicle in the road. When weather turned cold, water froze at the ground, so no water. They also left notes on all trailers telling them not to use electric heaters, as it would run up their bill. At 12 degrees you HAVE to do what you can to keep warm!
