This campground is convenient for visiting Palo Duro Canyon, and spots are level and spacious. The bathrooms and showers here are not very clean. The showers here do not have doors or curtains. Men and women are expected to shower in the same room, so we decided not to use those facilities. The management was very helpful and friendly, but the park has seen better days.
This park is very nice and well maintained. It has a clean pool and clean bathrooms and showers. The management was very helpful when dealing with issues that came up. The park is a little bit hard to find. (Watch for all of the little signs!) But is relatively close to restaurants and a large grocery store. We would camp here again.
Our vehicle broke down in Roswell and the people at this camp ground were very helpful in getting us set up while we waited for repairs. The RV lot is nothing spectacular: a lot of spots in a large gravel parking lot. But the owners were helpful and friendly. We especially appreciated the fact that they gave us an extended checkout and didn't charge us for an extra night when our vehicle was finally fixed at 4 pm and we were back on the road. Very accommodating!
This park was easy and low stress. This park is right off of the freeway and was easy to find and navigate. It is also very close to the Vicksburg Battleground Park, as well as many restaurants and stores. We arrived late, picked our own spot, and hooked up. Spaces are level and a decent size. There is a shuttle that runs to the casino frequently. The only down side to this park is that they don't have any type of camp store (not even for ice). They tell you to go to the gas station down the street. Overall we were pleased with the park and the price, and will definitely be back when we are back in Vicksburg.
The spots at this park are spacious and level. The park has an amazing pool for the kids, a large laundry facility and camp store, and very clean bathrooms and bath houses. The park is very close to downtown (lots of bars and restaurants), a Super Wal-Mart, and the beach. We would have loved to stay here longer.
This was the nicest RV park I have ever stayed in. Beautiful laundry area and pool, great play ground, and large, level, spacious lots. The park is quiet and everyone is very friendly. The only reason I marked them as a 9 instead of a 10 is because of their policy on late checkout. If there is availability, they will allow late check out at a rate of $20 per hour. Ouch!
Finding this park is a challenge. When driving from I-10, you first come across "The Original Riverfront RV Park" before you get to the "San Jacinto Riverfront RV Park." The park doesn't appear to be in a great neighborhood. This park is very poorly maintained and has narrow roads and spots. The park is also plagued with fire ants. When we pulled up to register my husband stopped in the designated area and stepped out of the vehicle into a pile of fire ants! The park also has several ridiculous policies, including the $25 charge if you want to be able to leave the park. The gate is always locked and they will only provide you with a key if you give them a $25 deposit, which they say they will return if you bring back the key in working order before checkout. They also nickel and dime you for every little thing, down to my four year old child (they said only my two other children were included in the rate and that I had to pay an extra $6 per day for my youngest child). Showers are dirty and don't have doors or curtains. Small camp store only has a few very over-priced items. We won't be back.
