Our site was on main road, site #71. Not recommended if you have children or pets. Cars do not obey speed limit. Very heavy traffic at all hours. Bathrooms near pavilion were very clean, but bathrooms near office were awful. However, location is very close to battlefield and visitor center, which is a plus.
Not the place to camp if in a tent. Heavy rains thee day before our arrival, and the drainage was not the best. Many campsites, including ours were flooded. Lots of stagnant water. Bathrooms smelled horrible. Must have a problem with sewage lines. On the plus side, the pools were sparkling and staff was very friendly. Even have their own private parking lot at Virginia Beach. Very convenient.
Fabulous campground! Park is very neat and clean. Stay up the hill in the #200 sites, for it is quiet and a distance away from the congestion of all the seasonals near the pool and store. Whole different world up the hill. Lots of activities for the kids. Wi-Fi is a bit spotty.
