Our first visit to the Grand Tetons/Yellowstone National Parks, so we were not that familiar with the area. Flagg Ranch Resort is north of the sites for the Grand Tetons, so if you're interested in spending most of your time there, I would recommend Jackson Lodge or Jenny Lake. The campground was quiet (off-season) and wooded. It needs a little TLC; 20 amp plug was upside-down and the picnic table was chipped and uncomfortable. Our site was relatively level and it felt safe, even though there was a bear sighting. We ate at Sheffields Restaurant one evening; nothing spectacular.
A very nice campground with a nice layout for all types of recreational vehicles. Level, paved roads and sites with picnic table; I'm not a big fan of bugs and there were many, as the Park is located near a reservoir. I've stayed at a couple of Oregon State Parks and I feel the state does a good job at maintaining them.
In my top "3" campgrounds, this place rocks (no pun intended)! A beautiful, eerie and yet serene campground, each site is clean and provides a view of the lava works. Super friendly rangers; take advantage of the various activities posted on boards throughout the campground. The hikes are fantastic and bicycling is perfect.
I love this campground! We've stayed here on several occasions when we're traveling towards Oregon and beyond. It's an oasis in Red Bluff. Clean and level sites, always a friendly host on-site. Fantastic price, as we make our reservations on-line as we have an America the Beautiful pass.
Off the I-5 and easy to locate, this campground is clean and well managed. Very friendly hostess for check-in, our site was level and paved. Great Wi-Fi connection; we didn't use the available cable connection. I would give them a "10" except you're very close to your next-door neighbor. Highly recommended.
Based on prior reviews of this campsite, we stayed 2 nights for an annual Irish Wolfhound get-together in Monterey. Use Gate 6 when you enter the Fairgrounds. The entire area is paved and the host was very friendly. We were originally given site 18, but with our 28', it was a bit tricky to park (there's a tree directly in front of the site). We took site 17 instead, but be aware that hookups are shared and I believe the odd numbers need extensions on sewer, water and electric. There's horse stables and a golf course on either side; very clean and peaceful. There is an airport nearby, but the planes didn't bother us. I thank everyone for being good canine citizens; there was no dog waste to be seen. I will definitely stay here again!
