Wow, clean, clean, clean. probably the cleanest campground we have ever seen. Bath house and individual toilet rooms were clean and well kept. The staff is easy going and its a very quiet campground (which is what we like). The sites are easy for leveling and sufficient for 2 vehicles. The only downside is the distance from Yatesville lake (the main marina). Their dump station is accessible from either side which is nice and the sites are positioned for a decent amount of privacy. We will be back for longer visits.
Stayed here around Labor Day. It was packed, which is fine, but the bath house has only 2 toilets and 2 showers (for women) and 1 toilet and one urinal for men. The "Pits" are exactly that and very unpleasant with hundreds of flies, if you can get past the smell (needs better facilities). The staff is great and very helpful just need to add some TLC to the bath situation. There is a really nice playground and everyone is tolerant of kids. However, there is a little party atmosphere so sleeping was difficult. There were kids or adults playing basketball until 2 AM and loud yelling etc. until ??? Feel there should be a quiet (enforced) policy after 10-11 PM. This would be perfect with better bathroom facility/multiple facilities and quiet hours. Rivers is great though!
