About 200 yards from I-57. Road noise was terrible. Our site was on the end of the pull through row so we had room for a "yard," but other sites were so close together that an awning would be over the next site's hook up. We were there two nights while doing research in the area and were only at the campsite during the nights. It's OK for a overnight, if you can stand the noise and don't mind being 5' from your neighbor, but definitely not a place to go "camp".
Can't say enough about this park. Beautiful park, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The prettiest miniature golf course I have ever seen. Didn't use the par 3, but it looked nice. It is remote but that just adds to the charm. The price is a little steep, $29.50 for 30 amp and $33 for 50 for two people and $4.00 daily for each additional. I feel sure we will return. It is as good as the website says.
This is primarily a permanent resident type park. They list 625 sites but only about 25 are not permanent and some of them are monthly. Our site was quite muddy (not much gravel) but most seemed to be OK. Other reviews pretty much cover it. If not for the mud, I would rate it higher.
This is a two sided park; one side is mostly just pavement with smaller sites, the other side has larger sites with nice lawns between sites. We were on the nicer side. The hook ups are at the very end of the site, right at the road. We had to drive to Wal-Mart to buy a 25' hose just to reach the water. I have 30' of sewer hose and it took every foot to reach. This has to be the poorest design of any park I have ever seen. The restrooms are large and clean, but the handicapped stall had almost no pressure at the handset and the handle to switch between handset and wall nozzle was inoperative. They list a pool but that is false. The only pool is in the Casino Hotel, about 1/2 mile away and you must be over 21. There is a commuter train near and a regular train next door. I would never stay here again.
Very nice overnight. Owners very friendly and helpful. There is not a single tree and the entire camping area is covered with rocks (1" to 1 1/2" diameter). Very uncomfortable walking. The location shown on the map is incorrect. It is actually located where the map shows Texarkana RV Park to be located. Park is about 1/4 mile from Flying J.
