This is a great campground right on the Atlantic Ocean. Ocean view / Ocean Front sites are 30 Amp + Water. Interior sites have some 50 Amp Service. WiFi is available at the Camp Store. Reserve early for Ocean access sites (11 months on Reserve America) This is a State Park Campground, not an RV Resort. Come here to enjoy the local, and to spend time on the Beach. Plentiful Bathroom/showers well maintained several times a day. We will come back again. This was our 2nd stay.
Really long, wide level sites. Nice trees and grass. Picnic tables and grills on every site. Convenient access to hook ups. No cable TV but 20+ off air digital channels. Very good Wi-Fi connectivity. Our site was right next to the Interstate (I-24). The noise didn't bother us. We kept the windows closed and the AC on. We would stay here again.
We chose this park for location and because of previous reviews. We were greatly disappointed. We were promised a pull through site if one was available. All sites in the park are "back-to-back" so availability is catch as catch can. However, we unhooked and backed in while the full site next door went unoccupied all night. The staff wasn't helpful. We asked about restaurants in the area and were told there was a McDonalds or an Arby's. The weather was nice so we turned off the AC and opened the windows to to get some fresh air. Big mistake. The noise was awful with trains, trucks, motorcycles, and fireworks. The noise went on all night. Could not connect to the Wi-Fi and ended up tethering to my phone. The only good thing was the price. We would not stay here again
Entrance road is steep and poorly marked until you are right on it. Roads and sites are hard packed gravel and very easy to level on. Stone patios with nice concrete tables and benches would be even better with more shade. No Cable TV, but lots of Off Air TV channels. WiFi is slow we ended up tethering through our smart phone. Campground is an excellent value. We would stay here again.
An oasis in the corn fields of Nebraska. A beautifully maintained campground. Level gravel sites surrounded with well maintained grass and landscaping. Utilities are conveniently placed for easy access. No cable TV, but 20+ off air digital channels available on antenna, or open space sites for easy satellite connectivity. We would stay here again.
We blew into camp in front of a 30-50 mph west wind. The campground is dry and dusty, but has good sites. We had no problem getting level. The pull through site was long which was good because I had to back up to get close enough to the sewer connection for my hoses to connect. This is a good stopping place if you're crossing Wyoming on I-80, given the other options we found. We would stop here again. Wi-Fi and cable were the best we've encountered. Which is good because we weren't going to brave the wind to unhook the car and go find a restaurant for Father's day dinner.
Beautiful setting. Nice new campground. Excellent sites, great hosts, and owners. Trees are in just need time to grow. Gravel roads and sites. Commute distance from Jackson, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone. Prices are more reasonable for a resort area. We would stay here again for a longer visit to the area.
I never thought I'd say this, but it's possible for a campground to be too pristine. All paved roads with concrete curbs and gutters. Looks like a tract subdivision in a big city. Everything was perfect Level sites with concrete patios and turf lawns. Easy in and out. We prefer our campgrounds to be a bit more rustic. Would stay here again for a night if we were passing this way. Not a place we'd stay as a destination.
Paved pull through level site. Wi-Fi & cable work fine. Lovely trees. Roads are a bit narrow, requiring care in parking. Sites are not maintained as cleanly and neatly as we usually expect at a KOA. Trash around the site, cigarette butts in the fire place and on the ground. Ashes and burned charcoal on the ground around the grill.
This is a beautiful park and a nice setting convenient to visiting the SF Bay Area. However a camp site and 1 car for $30 per night is a misnomer, because the park system counts motors. If I'm driving a MH Towing a car. I have to pay $8 per night for an extra vehicle. $38 per night without the extra amenities like Wi-Fi and Cable TV is expensive. Bring your 5er, tent, or pop up, and have a nice stay. We won't be coming back.
Nice campground. Easy to access level pull through sites. Convenient access from I-40 and I-15. I grew up in California. Barstow has never been on my list of places to visit. This campground is a comfortable convenient place to stop over for a night on the way to another destination. I'm a bit concerned that the pull through sites may be a bit short for a longer motorhome with a toad. Also the sewer connection is near the end of the site. I would have had a difficult time hooking up if I didn't have an extra long hose.
This is an older family campground. With convenient access from Business I-40/ Historic U.S. 66. The site was reasonably level, and had a picnic table. It was dusty. We enjoyed our stay here, and would probably stay here again if we come this way. It was less expensive than the "Resort" campgrounds with loads of amenities that we don't usually use anyway. We would have rated it higher if they had 50 amp power and cable TV.
We had a wonderful stay at this campground. The site was excellent. The utilities were conveniently placed, we had plenty of room. The staff were extremely helpful when our car broke down and had to be towed to the local dealer for repair. They even let us borrow the camp pickup truck to follow the tow truck to the dealer to complete the paperwork.
Memorial Day Weekend. Nice campground, gravel roads and sites. Sites are pull through, level, with convenient hookups. Site has tree, grass, grill, and nice picnic table. Service was courteous and friendly. Just what we wanted for a drive by one night stand on our way to somewhere else. Serves breakfast and dinner. A good thing so we don't have to unhook the car and drive into town. Rate is value card member rate.
We came in without a reservation on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. We got one of the last available sites. It is a pull through site and a bit tricky to get all the hookups connected. However, under the circumstances not all bad. Sites are gravel and level. Our site 26 is close to the office. Cable and Wi-Fi work well. As a passing through one night stay location close to the interstate I would stay here again if I pass this way.
Easy to see why this is a highly rated and recommended campground. Nice back-in level paved sites with patios, convenient hook ups, and reasonable prices. However, the best part is the way the staff make you feel welcome and at home. The cafe next door serves a great home cooked breakfast and lunch. The shuttle service to downtown for the shows and shopping is a bonus.
This is an older campground. We picked if from the map as an overnight stop over on our way to Branson. It's advertised as Big rig friendly. We're 35' towing, and I thought it was a tight fit getting here through the narrow city streets, and tight turns. It's early in the season, and they're still getting cleaned up after the winter. I probably wouldn't stay here a 2nd time.
A very nice campground. We enjoyed our stay. It was less expensive than some neighboring campgrounds. Had patios and lawns at every site. Wide roads make it easy to maneuver into the mostly back-in sites. Convenient to all the activities we wanted to enjoy while in Nashville. Only a few minutes away from the Grand Ole Opry.
This is a beautiful rustic state park right on the ocean. It has no laundry or sewer hook ups. There are only a limited number of ocean view / ocean front sites, difficult to get reservations but, well worth the effort. It has a beautiful beach, and it's convenient access to Savannah, Hilton Head, Beaufort, and Charleston. This is a very popular place with limited staff and volunteers.
This is primarily a Mobile Home Park with a number of RV sites. The updated sites are nicely paved, and have very convenient utility hook ups including water sewer 30/50 Electric, and Cable TV. The campground is poorly marked from the highway. the roads are in poor condition and there are no Pull Through Sites that we have seen. There is very little or no information about the campground or the surrounding area available.
