We chose to drive six miles out of our way to stay here due to other reviews we read. Plus in speaking with the owner over the phone, and hearing about the restaurant and the prime rib special, I was sold. The park is right on the Klamath River. Most of the spots are nose in. Personally, I think someone made a mistake in design. Anyhow, we stayed in a pull through, which was concrete and fairly level. We went to the restaurant for Prime Rib to find it was sold out. We opted for steak and ALL of the food we had was EXCELLENT. We were one of two rigs in the park. The other appeared to be resident. It was very peaceful and quiet. No cable and be aware - NO cell phone coverage. If you like to fish, and you like the remoteness, this is definitely a place to go. The owners were great and very helpful. Restaurant was great. However, I would not go six miles out of my way again to stay there. The rate of $30.00 was the Passport America rate, which I considered to be very high for the park and it's amenities.

We stayed here one night while driving to the San Fran bay area. The office staff was very nice and accommodating. Our spot seemed to be between two long term people which was not a problem. We chose that part of the park for the cable. In the future I would opt out of cable and stay in the newer section in front. They are closer to the road but far away enough to not be a deciding factor. The restrooms, in my opinion, could have been cleaner. It seemed like the people in charge were working to improve a lot of things. I would definitely stay here again for an overnight stay.

It was really hard for me to rate this park. The staff was super and very helpful when we ran into a problem. We only planned to stay a few nights, but when pulling out discovered our leaf springs were broken. That put us there several more days. They bathrooms were great; however, you have to pay a $25.00 key deposit, refundable at departure. We did not use the showers but they are right in the bathrooms - which are huge - and appeared to be very clean and nice. The spots are not large and there are few due to the amount of full timers there. They have the old part which is almost all full timers and the new part which has some space available for travelers. They have WiFi, but no cable. Very few amenities. The thing is - this is the only decent game in town and if you know anything about the San Fran Bay area, $60.00 per night is decent. The rate reflected is a week long stay rate. We would return here if we came back to the area, but due to the cost, will probably not drive this route again in our 5/w.

We stayed here for a month and loved it. They call themselves "the friendly park" and it's true. We were made to feel welcome by all and encouraged to participate in all of the activities. There are tons of activities to pick from. It's an over "55" park, so it's not for children unless they are visiting. Everything about this park is great. If you are just staying for a few days you will get a spot in the back, which is fine. Otherwise you are mixed in with the park models. That's fine too unless you are a big rig and you are being placed between two park models. They have someone help you but it's still tight until you get in. The rate reflected is for a monthly stay.

This is a very clean park that is a "resort" type with planned activities, etc., The pull thru spaces in our section were big and level. The pads were concrete. When I called on the phone to get the rates I was asked if I had Good Sam or AARP. I was quoted the rate for Good Sam. The folks that pulled in ahead of us told us they received the Passport America rate. The next morning I went into the office to inquire. The lady at the office was not really wanting to give me a refund, but in the end she did. The rate reflected on this post is a PPA rate. I did learn to always ask if they the parks accept PPA as it was not one of the discounts listed in their info OR on the PPA website. All in all, a very nice park off the beaten path which eliminates road noise.

A very nice, clean park located far enough off the highway that the road noise was minimal. You are walking distance to Safeway and other stores. The people were welcoming. They have their own private observatory, but while we were there the weather did not cooperate. The work out room was well equipped. We were initially planning to stay at a different RV park, but decided to check this one out first. Glad we did.

We found this place on the Internet and decided to give it a try. We found it to be a very nice park with everything we needed. When driving by the other parks in the area, we were very happy we chose Lone Mountain. The park is just off the main road but noise was not a factor at all. It was very quiet. The managers are here to welcome you and assist with whatever you need. They are also very vigilant managers. One thing appreciated is they space people out when they can. We've been to many parks where people are put right next to you when there are plenty other spaces available. Not here. Our space was long, level (on gravel) and a pull through. From the park you are able to drive into the Redwoods and also to The Oregon Cave Monument (excellent). We also drove to Crescent City, CA for lunch on the water. The RV park is nice and clean and well kept up. The men's and women's restroom only has one toilet and shower stall, but since we use our own, it worked for us. The shower is coin operated and it is HUGE. There is also a laundry room with two washers and dryers. There is an area where they rent TeePee's which is removed from the RV area. I would have loved to stay here longer, but we had to move on. I would highly recommend this park.

The park has extremely large sites, with plenty of room between them. However, their rates are awfully high which I am sure is driven by the fact that they are pretty much the only game in town. They do not really work with you if your plans change, or you need to adjust things. So, before you pony up your money, be sure you know how long you will be there. The park was very clean, but we just were not that impressed.

This is a very nice campground. The owners/workers were all extremely helpful and friendly. The mini-mart was stocked with the perfect types and amounts of items you might want or need. It's off the main highway so you are not subject to noise of vehicles. The only reason I did not rate this a 10 is because the spaces are very close together. The sewer connection for our neighbors was in the middle of our small green space. Even our new neighbor commented on that when pulling in. Other than that we completely enjoyed ourself. Great pool.
