Don't remember the exact site fee, but office staff was helpful and friendly. Great location for touring the beautiful little village of Frankenmuth. Roads are a little winding for larger rigs. We were not under any trees so was great for satellite receptions. Office needs to tell people when they check in, that there is a charge of $.25 for 4 minutes to take a shower as bathhouses are not close to all campsites. This is a good campground while touring the area.
We stayed in this park while touring upper parts of Michigan. This is basically an Airstream Park and most of the nicest part of the park was filled with Airstreams, with prices in the $50's for full hookups. We were put on the very back row: in the back 40, w/e and absolutely no shade anywhere, and it was hot. The bathhouses for this large, must be new section, was 2 porti-potties, with bathhouse much further away. Bathhouses were fair, nothing special. It looks like after a few years the small 4' trees will be nice. Sites were gravel as well roads in this back section and very dusty. Would be nice to stay in if in the front section. Wi-Fi was iffy and available outside at times. Could not get Wi-Fi on IPad. Good place for an overnight or so.
This is a nice little park conveniently located off I-65. Nice shaded pull through, very nice staff in office, well stocked campstore, nice pool. Bathrooms were spotless. Great place to overnight or stay a few days. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a good park for touring the upper Michigan area although a little pricy. We chose this park over the other campground because it has sewer hookups and we were staying several days. We were in the area across from Lake Huron but not the water view. This is a very large campground with lots of twists and turns. Bathhouses are few and far between for size of campground. Nice campstore, pool, and play area for children. Nice wooded sites for tents. They were putting campers on every other site in our area which was great, would be very close if an RV was on every site. Wi-Fi is $2 per day and was often difficult to sign on, and if you turned off computer you had to sign on again. Never could get Wi-Fi on IPad2. Some of roads are gravel/dirt and were very dusty. There is a very lovely view of Lake Huron and Mackinac Bridge. All in all we would stay here again.
This is an older park with very nice new owners. We were given one site that hookups were so far back behind RV, we couldn't connect to them, so asked to move to another and they said it was fine. Seems to be a lot of permanents down in one area, but all seemed to keep up their sites. Nice pool and pavilion. I don't use bathhouses but husband does. First night, no hot water, second night good, but bathhouses have no air conditioning and were very hot. We stayed here in order to tour the Air Force Museum. Fairly convenient for the money. Really think new owners are working constantly to improve the park. Would stay here again.
This is a great overnight or longer campground. Office staff was great and very helpful. Good level sites, lovely landscaping but very little shade, obviously puts much care into the campground. Bathrooms were about average. A very convenient park off I-65. Would definitely stay here again.
We arrived at this campground and were bombarded by hordes of gnats. You could not stay outside and had to hurry to get inside your camper or car. I tried to get on Wi-Fi while we were taking breaks from the gnats while trying to get set up. Had trouble signing, was told we were not close to tower, we asked if we could move closer to tower since there were only 5 or 6 campers there and was told no. We wondered if that was because we were Passport America users. We were also backed up to a pond that appeared to be stagnant and thought that might be making the gnats worse. We did find out that the area is the capital of gnat country during hot weather. I cannot rate this park as others have and not due to the gnats. it is basically gravel pull throughs in a pasture, no working advertised Wi-Fi, bathrooms barely adequate, lost power several times on pole with only AC and microwave on. There is a good sized clubhouse but was unusable due to storing junk. This park is certainly not worth their regular nightly price. It is convenient to Americus and Plains, Ga, the hometown of President Jimmy Carter. I would only use this as an overnight park and would not want to stay for extended time. The lady at the 27 hole golf course was very nice and the golf course was quite good for the price.
Paradise Oaks is a wonderful RV resort and has all the amenities anyone could want. I gave this park a 9 only because it is still in the building stage, but they are constantly working on making this one of the nicest resorts around. We camped for a week and paid the weekly rate for summer which was very reasonable. The pool and hot tub were perfect. There are many areas where you can play cards, do crafts, play pool, or sit and talk and there is a beautiful huge clubhouse, workout room, and kitchens. There was no area that was not perfectly clean. Bathrooms and showers were very nice and spotless. The campground is across the street from railroad tracks, but they did not bother us at all and we were fairly close to them. I highly rate this campground as one of the best and would look forward to staying there anytime. The small par 3 golf course surrounding the park still needs a lot of work before you can really play golf there, but from the looks of it they will make sure it is done right. Looks like a great place to spend the winter season.
