Good for an overnight stay, easy site access, friendly owners, the place to stay when visiting Lubbock. Lookes like mostly long-term stay, with the overnighters up front by the office. Small, clean dog park was a nice touch. No shade (park is 5 years old). Only drawback is heavy night train traffic with really energetic whistle blowers. Solved the problem with white noise from our HVAC fan running all night.
Convenient to Grand Lake and helpful staff. The power to the entire site was down without warning and internet access was unreliable. When it was up, it was good, but it went down and stayed down often
Park was nearly full, so we were lucky to have gotten one of the last sites, which was roomy enough compared to other parks in the area, especially those in town, that shoehorn you in. Clean bathrooms, attentive staff. Only used it as a base camp while we were off to experience the sights during the day, so no comment on the "RV park experience." Only drawback is they only take cash or check, no credit cards. Tough if you want to reserve a space while you are on the road a few days out.
