If you are in the Salmon, North Fork area do no pass up this park. At least a quarter mile off the highway, lots of room to walk your dog. Great sites, some on the river. Wonderful owners who will go out of their way to do what ever they can for you. Very clean rest rooms and showers and a nice gift shop. A snack get together every Friday afternoon. Beautiful view of the Salmon river and mountains from all sites. We stayed two weeks.
There eight sites, seven with grass and one on gravel next to a maintenance shed on the Salmon river. Very close to highway with lots of road noise and not good for walking a dog. No restrooms, laundry or showers. Owners try to be helpful. We paid for a month but only stayed two nights but were charged for two weeks.
We have RV'ed for over 30 years and have traveled the breath and length of USA, plus Mexico, Canada and Alaska. This is the first review we have ever written. Kamp Klamath gets the Blue Ribbon for having the worst and filthiest restrooms, and showers ever. Kamp Klamath also get the Silver Cup for the best mis-leading web site. To quote from it's copy, "On the quiet shore of the Klamath river." Thats a joke, the river is over a half mile walk away. If the tide is out you may be able to get past all the tall weeds and see it. Due to the web site and talking to the owner early in the year we made a big mistake: we paid for two months in advance. After the first two days we knew we had made a huge mistake. We left four messages at the front desk so we could cancel at least one month and get a refund, but he never did call us back. We would have liked to just leave and go elsewhere but we are retired and had already spent our money. To let you know how bad Kamp Klamath is, we left three weeks early. Do yourself a favor do not stay here.
This RV Park had the cleanest showers and restrooms of any RV Park. The people were friendly and the RV Park was with-in walking distance of a restaurant. They even had two corals for your pet to exercise and other necessary duties. Do youself a favor and stay here.
