Very nice place. Plenty of trees. Drains well after a rain storm. Sites are level gravel. All sites have picnic table. Full timer's area well separated from campers. Very friendly staff. One issue: At one end of the camper area there are cabins, with fences and large trees, right at the road. This made turning at the end of the rows very difficult. I saw two fifth-wheels have to do a lot of up and back just to make a 90 degree turn. We will stay here again.
We stayed three nights to rest up. It's not fancy, but was peaceful and quiet. The one dryer was broken. The bathrooms and showers were buggy and covered in pollen. I don't see how they could have been any other way as this is the middle of the woods in the spring. Regardless, we love this campground, have stayed here before and will stay again.
We stayed here for four glorious days and enjoyed every second of it. Staff was wonderful and the park is very well maintained. Spent dusk each day watching a raccoon come down from a tree and make its' rounds, staying clear of people. If you want to get away for a few day or spend some time resting up from your journeys (as we did), this is the place.
Great place to stay overnight. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Concrete sites, grass, some small trees. Very clean. We had been driving in rain storms all day and had wet towels and clothes from walking and drying pups. The laundry is small, but nice and I did two loads of clothes. Would definitely stay there again.
We stopped early because of dust storms and wind. How lucky we were to be right on top of this Good Sam's Park. Very nice. Well kept. Nice staff. Easy on/off I-10. Concrete pads. Asphalt roads. Clean rock around tables. Spacious sites. Great cable and WiFi. Highly recommend.
How, with all the wind they keep it so clean, I can't imagine. Sites were flat and even. Gravel was clean and well packed. Sites well spaced apart. Trees on each site. Not huge trees, but growing and well watered. Two enormous dog parks. Very nice staff. Loved this place so much we stayed an extra day and did laundry. WiFi was great. We got 47 air TV channels from Phoenix and Flagstaff. We have HD antenna and HD TVs.
We stayed here overnight for one night so we could go back to the Grand Canyon. It's very close to the Grand Canyon Village. Park is all dirt with a lot of ruts. It's very early in the year, and they may have improvements planned before their season begins. It was a bad winter there. No level sites. Water was turned off because of freeze warning, so we were not charged for full hookups, electric only. (We had plenty of water in our tank so no problem for us.). No TV at all, so we watched a movie. OK for a quick overnight stay.
Pets are allowed but there is no place to walk them that is not full of sand spurs. Poor dog feet. Really liked the people here and the park. Great little Cafe. We got 5 local stations on the TV with good reception. NOTE: We have an HD antenna and TVs. The sky is so big it only took 5 minutes to set up the satellite dish for more programs. Our phones and AT&T air cards worked great. We would stay here again.
Breath-taking park. Large sites, spaced far apart around a large meadow where deer congregate at daybreak. Short walk to the Brazos river where I thought of wagon trains coming through 150 years ago. We have AT&T phones and air card for the laptop and had no problem with service. Staff are friendly and kind. It's so lovely here we stayed over an extra night.
This campground appears to actually be more of a trailer park with nearly all spots occupied by full timers or RV trailer storage. Very limited actual overnight RV camping available. We would stay there again, but I would call ahead to check availability. Friendly staff and convenient to Walmart. Paved roads and sites. Very clean.
Very nice park. We stayed here in 2008 and it was nice then too. Staff is friendly and the entire park is kept very clean with trash pickups throughout the day. Dog potty bags provided by park at the pet walking area. Will stay here again.
