This park is just across the street from the lake, although we had no view of the lake itself. Very clean and well-maintained campground. We self-registered and pulled into to a nice level site (they all look to be so) with easy utility access, including cable TV. Easy to access with our 31' motorhome and tow vehicle attached. Would stay there again.
A convenient location to Interstate 5, make this park an ideal choice. We choose it because we wanted to drive to Fort Clatsop in Oregon, about a 1 1/4 hour drive away. Park is 1/2 mile from I 5, the site is quiet, clean and well-maintained. Sites are very level and easy to negotiate with pull-throughs. Reasonably priced, we would stay there again!
You have to love asphalt and no hookups because this is it. Also they lock the entry gate about 9pm and it remains so until 8 am. This eliminates going out to see the city at night, and it is a long walk from the gate to the RV lot! No Generators from 9 until 10am in the morning - so no microwave foods or coffee. That being said, the surf is usually up and if you can do without all the amenities, it is a fun place - rather pricey however. Ranked down to a 7 because I think the gate and generator issue is unrealistic. Also in summer they will not let you register until 2pm - causing long lines when they do start to register campers. Be aware. If you want to wait in an adjacent parking lot you can -- for $30! No other nearby parking available.
Very clean and well maintained. However, we were disappointed in not being allowed to have any campfires plus the sites were very tight. While they have lots of green grass - the sprinklers come on at night -- it is unwise to leave anything outside unless you don't mind it getting soaked! We do like amenities but guess we really prefer a little more rural site. The bonus side was it was very close to the Arches NP main entrance as well as the town of Moab.
You will not find a harder working or friendly owner/manager than here! This is a large park will all level gravel sites. Shade is sparse. Even the largest RVs are easily accommodated. Clean and well maintained. This is really an overnight or two stop. We used it to visit the nearby Petrified Forest. It makes a perfect loop trip. Would stay here again.
Campground was very well maintained. Although sites are relatively close to one another, we did not feel crowded in our 31 footer. All gravel, no pavement and shade trees dropped "berries," but it was not enough to rank this friendly campground down. The owners seem concerned about their guests. One of the best things about this park is that it is close to sightseeing features and wilderness, yet a major shopping mall is just down the road to restock. We would stay here again.
This park was neat, clean and up to date. All sites are level and easy to access. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no real shade here but early May was still comfortable. Moderate traffic noise from I-17 can be heard. We stayed here because there are a number of interesting points of interest nearby, including Sedona. We would stay here again!
We camped one night in a 31 foot rig. The site was clean and neat. We had a site near the river which was great. We used the boat launch for our kayak (no additional charge and it was very serviceable and adequate. Staff was friendly. Would camp here again.
