We have stayed here in the past. Busy on the weekend, slow and easy durring the week. Great place to stay and visit Superior, Duluth and the North Shore without the masses you find on the North Shore. Nice trails and beach. Had a good time on a park sponsored wolf calling trek late in the night in the woods of Northern Wisconsin.
Camped at the lower level site. New upper level just opened. Lower level was very shaded. The upper level was all open with very little shade. Nice trails and beach next to campsites. Paved roads made driving in easy. Have camped here many times and the campgrounds are always full.
Very clean and nice campground. Lots of trees and private setting. Not a good place for big rigs or satellite TV. All sites are back-ins. Room for your camper, vehicle, and one or two tents. All shaded at some time during the day. Only noise is from I-35 about a mile away from the campsites. Lots of wildlife to watch.
