We've camped here the past few years, always in September. The trailer sites were all full the weekend we were here. The location is perfect. It's where the river meets the sea. Flat roads, small sites with concrete pads, fire rings, and charcoal grills. Very pet friendly. The store is small, dingy, and not well stocked but does have firewood, which you may not bring in. The playground is great. We'll be back next year.
I have been coming to this campground in its various incarnations since I was two. The last ten years or so we've had site C25. I think that it may be the largest site in the campground and has a brook running through it. No sewer hookups but it's well worth it. Now that our kids are older we don't avail ourselves of many of the activities, but our grandchildren do and our teenage sons have made friends, who they see every year. Definitely something for everybody here.
This campground has new owners who are doing a good job of bringing it up to date. They put in a new pool which was not ready when we were here Memorial Day weekend but which I understand was ready the following week. They are also doing a lot of landscaping. Our sites were fine. We were travelling as a large group and got 5 sites together. The kids participated in the activities that were offered and really enjoyed them. Dogs were welcome. One warning, there were lots of mosquitoes. I did see on their FaceBook page that they sprayed sometime after we visited. I would stay here again.
We absolutely love this campground. The owners are friendly and accommodating. It is immaculate and very nicely landscaped. Showers and bathrooms are very clean and the "porta-potties" have actual flush toilets in them. The beaches are nice with very little drop off. The ball field and playgrounds (2) are perfect for our grandchildren. Sites are large and for the most part private.
We stayed here while attending a wedding nearby. This was an extremely quiet campground. Even the dogs were quiet. Didn't see any kids. Our site was nice. Easy to get into and out of. There are some group type sites that we would definitely consider for a family trip. This campground was also clean.
We were looking for a place fairly close to home and picked Autumn Hills. The owners are very friendly. The pool looked immaculate and there were lots of nice touches such as an e-z up over the picnic table at the playground. Our site was big and wooded. There is not much to do in the immediate area which was fine with us, but might concern people travelling with older children.
