This is one of the cleanest parks we have seen. Staff and campers are very friendly. Our site is spectacular (Passport America, 2 nights). We were a bit hesitant to come here based upon reviews, but seriously, can't think of a negative. We will always stay here when in the area. They even ensure that all RVs are at least 3' off the road - both ends on pull-thrus. VERY level site as well.
Great park! Convenient to Sponge Docks, can walk (several blocks) to the beach. Terrific paved bike/walk trail across the street. Note that if you approach from the north on 19a, the entrance WILL sneak up on you. When you see the fence on the left with RVs behind, get in the left turn lane or you may miss it! Superb staff, very helpful and friendly. Secure - card gate access.
Extremely well maintained park. Trees, grass, sites all clean. Incredibly nice staff. Convenient Dog Walk area, trash cans. Traffic pattern great, convenient to everything! We were very, very pleased!
Great park. Nice pool, terrific new staff. Right on a canal, with boat ramp and dock. Fishing right here, saw a Manatee swim right by every day! Awesome clubhouse with tons of amenities. This is a very nice park, lots of full-timers but newer park models make it very cozy. Some construction on road, but temporary, if you don't mind the noise they discount those sites by 50%.
This is a huge park. Very well paved, many sites are big enough for a house. Weekends are very busy with Day Use folks, because there is a nifty water feature that is spring fed from an artesian well, cool clear water all the time. There is a strong sulfur odor, but that's nature. If you don't like nature, don't stay here. We saw tons of animals, including a black bear, during our stay. Our grandkids loved the water, the pool, the fishing, etc. Rent a canoe or kayak for under 10 bucks on site. Very helpful staff, and very secure. We are staying here again this week!
If you are looking for a "Fancy" park, don't stay here. McIntosh is a historical little town with lovely Victorian style homes. The park is at the end of the main side street, and very simple. It's not new, but very clean. Superb staff, and they are very responsive. Mobile homes adjacent to the park, but clean and neat. Grassy sites abound, and very quiet for the most part. This is our second stay, and not our last. If the lake level ever comes back up to make this the waterfront marina park it was, it would be a '10' in my book!
