Overpriced for the amenities that they have. The whole campground is paved, which is nice. They do have a nice stage and host live music once a month. They also have nice paved walking/riding path. The location is good, somewhat close to the expressway, and close to the KY Speedway and Bellterra Casino. Now for the things we dis-liked: The cable TV doesn't work, so don't count on that. The pool is a saltwater pool. It doesn't bother some people, but isn't real refreshing on a hot day. There is also no shade or tables around the pool. We have young kids and the playground isn't real entertaining for them. In my opinion, this campground is worth about $35 a night, which is the rate you pay Sunday-Thursday, but on Friday and Saturday they jack the rate to $48.

All paved campground so that's nice. Basic state park, with pool, playground, and pond. A few things to do around the park, see the buffalo, hike some of the trails, and fish. Very quiet campground; we have stayed here several times. Most of the sites are wooded. No sewer, but they have water and electricity.

Typical KOA. Tight spots, extra charges. Awning almost touched neighboring motorhome. Paid extra for my niece. I am almost done staying at all KOA's since I hate the extra fees they charge at the already high prices. This is a mostly gravel campground, so it was a bit dusty during the day. Pool was nice and big, nice area around the pool, and the camp store was nice and well stocked. Other than that. Stopped here on an overnight towards Nashville.

The sites are nice sized, and the field behind our site was a great place for the kids to play. The pool was clean and well run. Only complaint about the pool is they don’t allow coolers in the pool area, not even bottled water. This leaves you running back and forth to your car or cart to get a drink, small inconvenience. During the summer, get use to having to call the camp office, as the electricity tends to “brown out” quite a bit. Had this happen 3 times during our stay. Campground electrician told us that the main breakers kept tripping due to all of the A/C units running. Our major concern was security. We had around 12 kids in our group and we felt it wasn’t a safe place for kids. People drove on the camp roads really fast, around 20-30 mph, and many were underage. There was also a couple times where kids drove mini bikes through sites and down the campground roads very fast. We had several people drive right through the field behind us at night with no headlights on. Even had adults take golf carts right through our site. I believe that the lack of security was the reason. This, coupled with many folks that use the campground are equestrian types, and maybe they don’t understand campground etiquette. Even though I don’t think this is a matter of etiquette, but of common sense. We only saw one park ranger drive through the park the three days we stayed here. We were thinking of coming down again in the fall and perhaps trying to get our rally at the campground, but I don’t think this is a safe place for kids to play. Sent a note to the manager a week after our visit and got a very poor form response, so I guess this isn’t a big concern to them. If you don’t have small children to worry about, then this is a nice campground close to the Bourbon Trail and many of the nice attractions in Lexington. Very flat and paved throughout.

We stay here quite often. Clean, well maintained, pool is nice and big. There are two parts of the campground. If you have kids, stay at the top portion, as the bottom portion near the river doesn't really have anything for the kids to do. Only a small run down playground. The sites are bigger, and the view is better, but again nothing for the kids to do. The top part has the pool, nice playground, basketball court, and small fishing pond. Most sites have trees. Only drawback in my mind is the whole place is gravel. Dust is a bit of a problem during the summer. Otherwise nice place. As for the person who commented about the Halloween weekends: yes, people do drink while passing out candy, but I have never witnessed anyone being inappropriate while passing out candy to the children. Most people respect the quiet time.

Two outdoor pools. One zero entry for the kids, and another rectangular pool for kids and adults. Also have a small indoor pool for the rainy days. Nice clubhouse, game room and jumping pillow. The kids love the planned activities. Labor Day weekend, they had a DJ, activity tent, and plenty of action. The only drawback for me was the campground is all gravel. Other than that, the sites were spacious and clean. The wooded sites are mainly reserved for the seasonal campers. Would go back if the opportunity presents it.

We stayed at this campground for 7 days over the July 4th holiday. The campground is overpriced for what is available. There are no planned activities at the campground for kids, and there is NO POOL. They do have a playground, but for most of the sites, they are a far walk. They have lake access, but require everyone to wear life jackets, even though the swim area they have cordoned off, is 30ft by 40ft and is 3ft deep. They also only have about 6 life jackets at the beach access, so if another family is there already, you have to wait until they are finished swimming before you can get in the water. The view from the campground to the lake is wonderful, however you cannot even get close to the lake since they have placed a chain-link fence around it. Frustrating! I have heard wonderful things about the Nashville Yogi Bear, so stay there if you are visiting Nashville. Ended up paying $60 a night for a partially shaded spot. This campground should be priced at $30 a night since they don’t have a pool or activities for kids. Regarding the water park: it isn’t horribly bad. They could do a better job cleaning the trash up during the day, and pressure washing the sidewalks every day. The most frustrating part of visiting the park was the tube rental. I have yet to see a water park charge for tube rentals. We visited the park 5 times over the week and all five times there were no tubes to get on the rides unless you want to pay $7 each and carry them around with you all day. Nobody puts the free tubes back, so there is no way to go down the two slides the park has. The wave pool is incredibly over crowded. People are on tubes with no regard for the safety of others. The lazy river has no tubes, so people just float/walk down. All in all its a so so place to visit. We will not be visiting again.
