Moved here from another park much further from town. Had to settle for a back-in site with partial hookups first night then moved to a full hookup site for last 2 nights. My wife loved the mountain views while the kids thoroughly enjoyed the gem panning and go-carts. I thought that the bathrooms were clean. They only had 3 wash machines and they were kept busy. Sites were gravel with grass area. Park appeared to have a couple of long-term campers. Met one while walking and he said that park was eliminating its long-term sites. An electric transformer went out and we were without power for about two hours until a power truck arrived and fixed the problem on the pole. Decent playground and real nice cave on the property.
Hosts were helpful but park is old and showing its age. It is a bit off of I-59 along narrow, windy county roads. Park sits on top of a hill with site roads cut across the hill. Nice pool - larger than most. This park is out of the way and is not close to anything which is important with the price of fuel. Stayed only 1 night as it was about 20-25 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga (1:30 PM with virtually no traffic problems). Quiet but just out of the way as a base to see Chattanooga so I went on down the road for the rest of our stay.
