Staff is very friendly and you do have a nice grassy area. Very convenient to town, grocery stores, etc. There was a charge for wi-fi and then we were unable to access it from inside our rig. We sometimes could pick up the signal if we sat at the edge of the driveway. The staff said we could access it from the laundry room or nearer to the office. The office is a booth, so you cannot go inside of it but they were nice enough to provide me with a folding table and chair so I could sit in front of the office. If you are going to stay here, make sure to make reservations. The manager said he is always booked and the 3 nights we were there, there was not a single empty spot.
Another one of those places that is alright if you just need a place to sleep but would not be a choice for stay of any length. All gravel and dirt, no scenery whatsoever. Did have the best wi-fi signal ever though - 100% strength - and the wi-fi is free.
Extremely nice park. Friendliest staff we have ever encountered anywhere. They bent over backwards to help in any way they could. Were always out cleaning the grounds and filling the "dog waste bag" dispensers. Our only gripe was that you have to pay for Wi-Fi and we were constantly getting disconnected.
This campground is a gravel parking lot, basically. Everything is gravel - no grass nor pavement. It is okay for a stopover but would not want to spend any amount of time here. They do have wi-fi but you have to stand outside the office window to access it and there is no table, ledge or anything to place your laptop on. Also no where to sit. The sites are staggered, every other one facing the other direction. If you are facing west, your neighbor will be facing east, so your picnic tables are side by side, so no privacy at all when sitting outside.
Nice park, friendly staff. Loved the fact that they pick up your trash at your site every day. Interior roads are narrow, some turns tight, but doable. We got a premium site (30 ft. of "front yard" space between you and neighbor), but could have done with a lesser priced site. Got the large one, so we could tie the dog up outside when we were out there and he would have more running room, but there were too many burrs in the grass to do that. Wifi is $4 a day. Too many trees on our site to get a good signal on our satellite. They do have cable but very limited - maybe 15-20 channels. Would probably stay there again as we really didn't spend that much time in the RV anyway. Very nice pool area.
Owners were the friendliest and most helpful I have ever seen. Within walking distance to restaurants. I would have given it a 10 if the wifi had not been so bad. Had to sit outside of the rig to be able to stay connected.
Park was clean and quiet. Plenty of room for slide-outs. Located next door to a cemetery. The wifi is free but is extremely slow. At times it would take up to 30 minutes to open an email or website. Within 15 minutes of the beach and also close to a large grocery store.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We had a back-in site right on the river so it was nice to leave the windows open and listen to the water flowing at night. They do not allow any rv's older than 15 yrs. old but there are some permanent mobile homes set up in the park that are fairly run down. My only real complaint was that we did not have cell phone service while there and I normally have service just about everywhere we go. As we had no service and there is no phone at the sites, I felt somewhat out of touch with our family.
Wonderful campground. The owner met us at our rig as soon as we pulled in. He directed us to a site and then I went in to pay. His wife was very helpful and friendly. Nice laundry facilites which are open 24 hrs. Very nice shop. The nicest park we have ever stayed at. Loved the free WIFI and will definitely stay at this park again when in the area.
Park has several run down mobile homes scattered throughout. I felt that we were in an unsafe area, although the town is very small. The elderly woman who owns the park, and lives onsite does not accept credit cards and gives no discounts. You must go into her mobile home to pay and it is very unpleasant - the stench is overbearing - my husband said he believed it to be cat urine. There is no paperwork to fill out - just give her cash and that is it.
It was a very nice park and would have gotten a higher rating if not for the location. 10th Avenue runs right beside the park - it is major street in the city and we were awakened all throughout the night by trucks and sirens. Even with the heater on in the rv, it was loud enough to disturb us. Not the place for a good night's sleep.
We camped here during Cheyenne Frontier Days. The park is an older park and the buildings do look somewhat shabby but it is supposed to resemble an old west town so I think it goes with the theme. The spots are of an average size, not too much room but a sufficient amount. There is a restaurant onsite. I only had the salad bar but my husband had the buffet which included several different buffalo dishes and said it was quite good. Nice playground for the kids and a very nice "general store". Lots of different activities going on at the park but there is a charge for each. Would stay at this park again.
When making the reservation, I was told that the price for a pull-thru site was $34, but when we arrived, we were charged $36. Campground is okay if you just want a place to park your motorhome. We normally like to sit outside, relaxing and taking in the scenery, but the only view we had was the backside and trash bins of the hotel next door. Park has lots of trees, but they are mainly cottonwood, and the cottonwood was blowing so much, it looked like it was snowing. Only campground we have ever been to that they did not give you a flyer listing camp rules, location of trash, etc. It is on a lake, but you cannot see the water unless you walk around to the backside of the owner's home. Spaces are tight. The owner's home had a swingset in front of it, but as there was no sign or brochure, not sure if it is for the use of the guest's children or not. As stated before, it is okay if you do not plan to spend any time outside your motorhome, but if you like to sit outside, another park would be a better fit for you.
