Overall this was an OK place to stay while touring the area. Sites are well-packed gravel pads with grass lawns and picnic tables. The owners are helpful with directions through the road construction in the region. The good: easy 15 minute drive to downtown Duluth; roomy sites; warm pool; quiet setting away from the noise of city traffic and trains noise. Needs work: bathrooms and showers are due for a good cleaning; restrooms, pool area and office are looking tired.

Beautiful, well-kept park. All sites are asphalt back-ins with grassy area, picnic table and fire pit, and are amply wide. Sites are long enough to accommodate a large RV and tow or towed. Most sites appear to be level or close to it. At night the park is quiet and dark, and security patrols the place night and day. The pool was clean and warm (heated). Staff at both the RV park and the casino were friendly and helpful.

Roomy sites with picnic tables. Fire pits located in the large green space between rows. Asphalt parking pads with grass lawns. Some spots are off level but ours was fine. Lovely bike/hike paths leading around the lake and to Storybook Land. The whole complex has lovely landscaping, flowers, many newer playgrounds and benches to enjoy the views. The north campground and bathhouses are brand new this season. Downsides: Bathrooms and showers nearest us were acceptable, though they had no ventilation and were wet. Noise problems, etc., are between you and police department, as camp staff is off duty after 10 PM. Lastly, interior roads were narrow and people park their cars right along both sides of it. Long rigs have an easier time if arriving ahead of the busy weekend crowd, and if not in a hurry to leave.

This is a popular city park on Lake Kampeska, which is in the Watertown city limits. The newer camping area is very roomy and sunny, while the older area is shaded by mature trees. Interior roads are paved. Sites are grassy with fire rings and picnic tables. There is a nice playground and a good swimming beach. They also have horseshoes, sand volleyball, a basketball court, a baseball diamond and a large picnic shelter. The boat ramp is just north of the campground. They do not take reservations, so call ahead.

This is an easy, inexpensive place to camp if you're looking for no-frills. Price reflects 50 amp, water, and sewer. We were allowed to choose the site we wanted so we picked an area away from other campers. 20-30-50 amp available, as are W/E sites. Some sites are grass, some are gravel, and they come in various sizes. Interior roads are gravel and wide open. The Fairgrounds can easily be reached without driving through town. Restrooms were basic, and were clean. No playground equipment. We'll be back!

The place is huge and wasn't full, so we were allowed to park where we wanted and face whatever direction we preferred. Like others, we took up several spaces, but were charged for one. Most campers were very spread out or in small groups. It was quiet at night except for three train whistles. Security fence. Grass sites, some have shade. Gravel and paved interior roads. Dump station nearest us was clean, but wouldn't accommodate a large RV as access was tight and there was a gravel ramp on either end. It looked very clean. Showers/bathrooms were dirty with wet concrete floors. We use our RV bathroom and shower, so it wasn't an issue. A few sites have water and sewer hookups. With a motorhome, stick to the roads on the east side. Some of the driveways and crossroads in the middle and west had a dip that would have dragged our undercarriage. We cleared tree branches and overhead wires, but we were watching closely. Not a bad place to overnight if you use your own toilet and shower.
