This place is amazing; you can be right on the beach so of course the views are incredible. The park is spotless; they have a very nice lodge with exercise facilities, big screen TV, pool table, loft for reading with wood-burning stove, kitchen and a small laundry room. It is so beautiful you will never want to leave. The owner is on site and very accommodating. We will be back often, and hopefully, soon!
Just so that you are prepared (we were not), this is a trailer park; mostly "extended stay sites" and very, very close sites and narrow roads. The location is lovely, on the Rogue River, and for sure you would want a riverfront site. However, we would not stay here again.
This is one of the nicest "campgrounds" we have ever stayed in; it is located right on the Klamath River. The owners have situated each pad so that you have an unobstructed view of the river from the front and side of your rig. The spaces are huge, each with a concrete patio and table; there is a greenbelt between each and a lovely lawn sloping down to the river. It is a very peaceful, tranquil riverfront setting. My husband could fish right in front of our rig, and I could sit in my chair reading my book and watching. They have a very good restaurant right next door; excellent food and quite reasonable, and with a full bar. The owners are lovely people and very accommodating. We hated to leave and will certainly be back again and again.
This is a great park for an overnight or two; it is right off Interstate 5, very clean, good internet and Cable TV, reasonable laundry ($1.00!). We always stay here overnight coming and going and will definitely stay again.
We stay here when we visit relatives in the area. It is the most beautiful fairgrounds, but very poorly maintained, which is a shame. The sites are not very level, and there are potholes everywhere. Wi-Fi is available, but very slow. There is no cable TV and satellite reception is impossible because of the trees. The staff is friendly, and this could be a lovely RV park if anyone would take an interest!
This is an immaculate, well-laid out park with amazing facilities; a clubhouse, swimming pool, and spa. Very friendly staff that escorts you to the site and makes sure everything is alright. We have used this park several times for an overnight. The only drawback is that it is right on Interstate 5 and is very noisy all night; if you leave the windows closed and the air conditioning or fan on, it is not too bad. They also recycle and pick up your trash at your site. I would give it a big 10 if it were not for the noise.
This is a nice park for an overnight; there are a lot of "extended stay sites" presumably because there is a lot of road work nearby. There is also a train which goes by at night and sounds its horn at least four times. However, the staff is very friendly and the park is quite clean. The pull throughs have an odd configuration in that two coaches are right next to each other in each site, facing opposite directions. The really nice thing is that they have an agreement with the Hilton, next door, that guests can use the Hilton facilities--pool, spa, fitness room--and get 20% off at the restaurant. We would stay here again if passing through Elko.
This is a convenient park for an overnight, right off highway 80. It is basically a big parking lot, although it does have small trees at the site. The sites are close together, as they are at all KOA's. The staff is friendly and the laundry room is very clean and reasonable. There is a casino nearby within walking distance, and a very large Cabela's Sporting Goods store. However, that is about it. You would have to drive for restaurants or shopping. We would stay here again.
This is a nice place for an overnight stay; the restrooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. However, the spaces are very close together and narrow, with large boulders on each side; we scraped one of them when we opened our slide. There is a lot of road noise; each site faces the road. We would stay here again for an overnight only. There is shade at each site from the trees, which is nice when it is hot.
This is a lovely campground right on the river. It is located about 14 miles north of town, which is a little inconvenient for shopping or dining, but it is well worth it! It is very quiet, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice gift shop on site, swimming pool, small convenience store, cable TV--nice amenities when you are "camping". We would stay here again for sure. We loved it!
This is a very nice, clean park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sites are a decent space between, except that they put two coaches next to each other, facing opposite ways, which is kind of strange. But it is a city park, so there are not many amenities but it is a good location for touring the area. It is somewhat out of town so it requires driving into town for groceries or restaurants. We would stay there again.
This park is in a good location for touring the area. We had a premium site so there was adequate, but not great, space between the sites. There is some freeway noise, but it is tolerable. There are a lot of trees so shade is provided. We would stay there again.
This is for sure a "campground", very rustic but we had full hookups. There is a rec room with a large TV and the internet works well there. The staff was very friendly, in contrast to prior reviews. Perhaps there are new owners. The location is great--close to the park, and possible to walk into town. We would stay there again.
