This is a great park for an overnight stay. The sites were pull throughs and each site had a shade tree and a small patch of grass - both were appreciated. The swimming pool was small and not really heated - we did swim, but could only stand it about 30 minutes. We ate the buffet at the casino and it was OK, but nothing great. As I said, an excellent park for an overnighter!
This is a beautiful park and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The sites are roomy and easy to back into. But, I cannot give it more than a 7 for the following reasons: The roads are gravel and the sites are gravel - thinly covered. It rains there a lot and the mud is simply not acceptable! The Wi-Fi was very inconsistent. I was told by the park staff that people get on the Wi-Fi and then don't log off when they are finished. Therefore, I couldn't get on. During my 8 day stay I was able to get on the internet 3 times! The laundry was quite small and expensive.
This is a beautiful place to camp. We are nestled in the tall pines and look out over the pasture with beautiful horses. It is restful and peaceful and we've thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff has been friendly and helpful. You need to be aware of a few things: the pool and hot tub suffered major winter damage and the heater on the pool does not work. The water is COLD! The hot tub is not a commercial grade and they allow all children in it. We have not been able to use either one for the month we've been here. This was a great disappointment to us. The ranch is for sale and minimal repairs are being done. This has not affected our stay, but areas look unkempt because of this. The restaurant has good food but is pricey unless you eat the nightly special. There are trail rides, but no dinner rides. You have to go to a neighboring ranch for those. This said, we would return again because all the good far outweighs the bad.
This is an excellent park with absolutely spectacular views. Yes, there is red dirt everywhere but that is to be expected. The paved interior roads help a lot but you still track in the red dirt. The sites were pull throughs and we had some shade during the day. We wish the pool had been a few degrees warmer. The laundry was clean but a little pricey. We enjoyed the 10 minute hike to the arch. The location and views make this park an excellent choice when you visit Monument Valley!
What a beautiful campground! It is clean, well designed, has beautiful views of Lake Powell, and has wonderful sites. You are allowed to use the pool and jacuzzi at the Lake Powell Resort or you may use the swim beach. A paved walking trail is available and all the roads are paved. There is a terrific campground store with just about everything you will need. You can rent just about any kind of watercraft (a little pricey though) or you can take boat tours of Lake Powell. The entire area is absolutely beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
This is a very clean RV Park. The sites are large pull throughs but there is not a speck of grass in the park. It is obviously a fairly new park and the trees will need some years to grow and provide shade. We enjoyed our stay but had two major complaints - RV guests were allowed to use the pool and hot tub at the hotel, but it was so full of children it was not usable by our group of retirees. Parents allowed young children to use the hot tub and capacity was 9 and there were 15 people in it! Yikes! The dogs need a grassy area for a dog run - lots of dogs don't like to do their business in rocky areas. In time they may work out these problems.
Shade, shade, beautiful shade. This park is full of beautiful shade trees and sits along Oak Creek. This park would get an easy 10 rating except we were parked underneath the nesting Blue Herons. We were told that the noise might bother us, but they didn't tell us about all of the bird droppings that would cover our coaches. It was a horrible mess! We were later told that they normally don't rent site #60 or #61 during nesting season. So our wonderful stay was marred by the bird droppings that we had to wash off the coaches every day. We highly recommend this park, just make sure that if you are there during May and June, that they don't put you in those sites.
We had a tough time deciding between this park and Amarillo Ranch and are we glad we chose Fort Amarillo. It was easy to get to and quiet even though you could see I-40. We had a long pull through with a cement patio. We used the indoor pool and enjoyed that a lot. Their gift shop is superb! Worth the stop for just that, but we did enjoy all of the other amenities. We highly recommend this park for a visit to Amarillo.
This was an excellent campground for the Columbia area - easy in and easy out. We had a nice pull-through site and a nice paved patio area. We didn't spend much time in the park since we were visiting relatives in the area, but we felt our rig was secure. We asked why they didn't have a website to advertise their facility. You really have no idea how nice the park is until you get there. We will return anytime we are in the Columbia area.
What a delightful park and such a nice surprise for an overnight stay. We had a nice, long, shady pull through. There was a wonderful wooden swing to enjoy. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us a great recommendation for dinner since the Kampground Kafe was temporarily not open. Easy access from I-40 and we would recommend this park to anyone for an overnight or longer.
A wonderful park in a great location. Easy to get to and far enough out of Branson to be quiet and restful and yet close enough that you are minutes away from everything. We had a very nice, shady pull-through. The park is very well maintained, clean, and run by a very efficient staff - they also have a sense of humor! One suggestion: they need some roll-around baskets in their laundry room and one small complaint: the cable tv goes off if someone turns off a breaker at their site. Three different nights we had to go around trying to find which breakers were off. This was annoying. Don't let that keep you from staying at this top notch park!
This is a beautiful park full of wonderful grass and trees. The sites for the rig are paved and many have excellent shade. Water is available but NOT at every site. If you want water, you need to find a spigot and park near it. There are no sewer connections, only a dump station. There is a swimming beach available and great areas for dogs. All roads are paved. The fee is a little pricey considering the lack of hookups. You pay $15 for 50 amp service and a $4 daily park fee.
This is a great urban park with great amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park is very clean and well maintained. We parked on cement with nice grass beside it. The pool and hot tub were appreciated. Some other posts complained about noise - I called ahead and they assured me I was parked near the middle of the park and we had no problem with noise. We did have to pay $4 a night for each grandchild that stayed with us. I feel sorry for parents who are having to pay an extra fee for children. It should be included in the rate. We will camp here again.
This is a very nice campground. We had a great pull through site. The roads were gravel but clean. The gift shop was very nice as was the staff. We did have cable tv but it was quite snowy. They also need a pool and hot tub. One night they allowed people without reservations to dry camp. I thought this was a nice gesture. I would camp here again.
What a wonderful park! This is our kind of camping. The sites were level, patios paved, grass at the sites. The streets were wide, paved and easy to maneuver. The park is well taken care of, the staff very efficient and friendly, and though a bit high price-wise, it is to be expected only 4 blocks from Yellowstone. We would have enjoyed a pool and hot tub and this is our only suggestion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.
We stayed here 5 nights and it was 4 nights too many! The roads and sites are all dirt. Your rig and car are covered in dust. It was awful. The layout of the campground was nice but after 1 day, we were tired of the dirt. We had to pay $2.50 a night for cable TV, but it was so snowy it was unwatchable. Went to the swimming pool and hot tub at 9:30 p.m. to avoid the children - no such luck. The pool was filled with noisy kids and I would have been OK with that, but the hot tub was lukewarm! Not good! We will not return to this park.
This was an overnight stop for us and it turned out to be a nice park. There was a nice, lush green lawn beside each site, the hookups all worked and the cable TV did as well. The clubhouse was attractive and well kept. We would recommend this park for an overnight, or longer, stay.
What a lovely park! It was shady, the sites are huge and the space between sites is spacious. The grass has been kept watered and it was very nice sitting in the shade and enjoying the breeze (the wind blows a lot here). We enjoyed sitting on the banks of the Columbia River and watching the wind surfers. We only stayed 3 nights and wish we had been able to stay longer. We would camp here again!
We only camped here overnight but found the sites to be large and graveled. The interior roads were graveled as well. The pool area was quite nice and well maintained. The hot tub was HOT! THANK YOU! The landscaping was attractive and well maintained. We would return to this resort again.
We stayed in this park for an overnight and found it to be clean and well maintained. Our site was a large pull through which we appreciated. We would recommend this to anyone for an overnight or an even longer stay!
We really enjoyed our stay in this RV Park on the Rogue River. It was quiet, very well maintained, and the staff was great! They hosted a wonderful 4th of July BBQ/Potluck and it was a lot of fun. We stayed 12 days and will go back again!
A word of caution to 40' and larger rigs: We had reservations but actually chose not to stay. Their first-come, first-served policy is fair only if you have a smaller rig. Our 40' rig would not fit in all sites and we couldn't take a chance on not having a site available that would fit us. Their $20 cancellation policy is not fair if they can't guarantee a site to fit your rig. When I agreed to their policy on the phone, they did not tell me that my rig wouldn't fit in all of their sites. Therefore I was charged the $20 fee.
We love this park! It is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful on the banks of the Klamath River. The owners and camp host have been very helpful and make sure you have everything you need. The park is very clean and attractive. Our site is level and on grass. The roads are well maintained with excellent white rock. All facilities, clubhouse, laundry and restrooms are very clean. Wood for fires is provided free. We stayed 2 weeks and would recommend it to anyone!
This is a wonderful experience camping right among the giant redwoods. There was plenty of room for our 40' motorhome. The view out the windshield was spectacular. The office staff was helpful and friendly. It was a very pleasant experience and we would camp here again!
This is a very nice, clean park and we had a very good site. The staff at check-in was efficient and pleasant. The pool area was well kept but their "heated pool" was not heated. This was a great disappointment. We would camp here again!
