Stayed one night with Passport America rate. Site was level, and we used the 30 amp and sewer. Limited TV channels over the air; got acceptable 3G with AT&T. Place had a seedy feel. Several permanent residents and only a couple of us overnighters. Standing marshy water in the grass (this is the low country) but also puddles in the open walkway to bathrooms. Train at 9 pm vibrated the RV like magic fingers but didn't bother us. Would not stay here again.

This park has multi-generation returning guests who stay all season. We needed just a few nights but were able to get a reservation in the rustic section with no hookups which was fine and at a reasonable price for the Keys. After making a deposit, we noticed in the literature mailed to us that generators are not allowed at any time which made our stay a bit more challenging. Some campers return each year but use solar panels. No dogs are allowed, not a problem for us. Facilities are very nice, lots of winter activities, great for boaters. Management very well organized. We might return if we could ever get a site with electricity.

Enjoyed a winter weekend at this quiet, woodsy park. Like many of Florida's parks, it is convenient to grocery stores etc., but a world away once you are inside. Easy access to I-75. There's a large RV dealer nearby with service department. Nice place for hiking, biking, kayaks, and there are ocean beaches a short drive away. We were here on Super Bowl Sunday, so happy to get lots of channels from our antenna. Enjoyed a lunch at Casey Key fish house nearby on the water. This is a fairly uncrowded area for Florida, very enjoyable to visit.

Had a very good stay here on short notice after realizing we had booked one night too few elsewhere. Our first use of Passport America, and rate was by far best available for the Keys in winter. PA guests stay in older section which is fair and everybody wins. Our site was narrow (between the concrete patio and the pump out fitting) but fine. No problem backing in because the park manager guided us in within minutes of our arrival and came back to help with the cable hookup. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Beautiful pool. Clean bathrooms, big laundry room. Nice pier where you can sit on a bench to watch sunset. We would definitely return.

This is our second stay, this time at the quiet, woodsy River Campground. We had site 116 which is quite large but needs a little care to back into. Restrooms are older but clean. We took the boat ride on the very lush, scenic river to Trapper Nelson's cabin and enjoyed it a lot - saw manatees, blue herons, ospreys. Overall, a good "old Florida" experience right off I-95 a few miles.

This is a charming spot among the live oaks and palmetto trees. We camped right by the ocean after reserving 9 months ahead and loved it. Such a great view of the sea to wake up to. Weather was nice enough even in January to sit outside and walk on the beach to the lighthouse, though a cool, rainy front moved through. Bathrooms are old but kept clean. We got TV reception with our antenna and some 3G reception for iPad, though not strong.

This made a good stop along I-95 overnight and we'll probably use it again since the location works well, distance-wise, when we return from family visits. It takes a few minutes to get there from the interstate since it is on the other side of St. George. But it is quiet once you get there and offers a good night's sleep. I appreciated that we were guided by golf cart to our camp site, always a nice touch. Restrooms and showers are dated but adequate.

This park has a nice feel and put us into a laid-back Florida beach feel right away. It is a narrow strip by the ocean with sites on both sides of the CG's road. Great value to be on the ocean, and a real steal for lucky FL residents with discounts. Heed the notice when you reserve about length restrictions and some sites being hard to back into. We were OK in a 22' class B, but others had trouble. Restrooms were the nicest we've seen in a public park. Roomy well planned shower spaces. Already booked to return.

This is a large, wooded park fairly close to I-95 and the city of Richmond. Campground is in two main sections. The lower one with sites 1 to 65 was heavily wooded and we found the sites to be unlevel, so drove on to sites 66 - 129, which has paved pull through sites and has been cleared more. The park has several buddy sites where three RVs can stay together, which is a nice idea. It's a nice park and I would camp here again.

Lots of pluses here including the location, very close to Monticello and Michie Tavern in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge, not far from the Skyline Drive entrance. Our site #28 was right on the street. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The minus for me was the long walk up to the restrooms and showers, which weren't cleaned during our stay. But overall it is a nice place in a great location for an autumn trip.

This is fine for an overnight,with a large, modern restroom building with plenty of facilities. Our site was on a very large grassy field that backed up to the treeline, so needed to walk through wet grass to reach the road and washroom. Got one TV station with antenna. No Wi-Fi. This is very convenient to Trans Canada Highway and Corner Brook at Exit 7. Go to Exit 6 to find a big shopping area with Walmart and Dominion grocery. Go into town to visit the Newfoundland Emporium, a fun place with resident Newfoundland dog.

Enjoyed our stay at this park in wooded backin site number 34, needed leveling, not far from washrooms and small pavilion where we could get a Wi-Fi signal. Friendly welcome and Good Sam discount given. Bathrooms were large and modern although the showers were narrow without much space for dressing. Good location for visiting the National Park. Would stay here again.

This was a nice park with recently renovated bathroom in our section (site 38), very nice showers. Close to I-81 for a convenient overnight. Large office and camp store with friendly staff, RV supplies, ice cream, book exchange etc. I would rate this higher except that there seemed to be a long term resident just across from our campsite possibly running a business out of his RV. Two big commercial bucket trucks came and went, and there were noisy diesel trucks either coming or going during the night past our campsite (we are not light sleepers and rarely notice noise.) that said, I would stay here again, and simply ask about a quiet site.

This is a good location that gets you well on your way after coming off the ferry (about 30 minutes away.) The evening we arrived, there were about a dozen other RVs lined up also waiting to check in! Dated but good bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and free firewood. Our site was not private or level but that's the case more often than not on the island, and we just needed a good night's sleep which we received.

This was OK for an overnight though overpriced, which seems to be the norm for this region. Perhaps because it is close to Old Sturbridge Village which we did not stop in to visit during our short stay. Big campground, seemed to be mostly for either seasonals or people living in their RVs. Quiet,almost deserted. Only one other overnighter came in. We were first given a site in the meadows area which turned out to require a drive up the hill on a narrow dirt road and down into an empty, isolated grassy field with no restrooms. We returned for a different site nearer the other RV that arrived when we did. This site assigned turned out to have two cars parked in it, so we took the empty one next to it and walked back to the office for a third visit. Restrooms and showers were adequate. Best feature of this park was good cable TV. The park was hit by a tornado in 2011 and is still showing effects, with construction dumpster etc on site. Would look for other options next time.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. No credit cards but they accept US checks. No reservations but a big place and we saw empty sites go unused, so don't be discouraged about trying. Excellent location next to Acadia with free Explorer bus. Wi-Fi inside our RV. Got 8 channels on our antenna. Lots of variety and you pick your own site location. Our backin site was very woodsy with a fire ring. We noticed sign at office for lobster dinner delivered to your site and enjoyed that one evening, arrived right on time. Up the hill (required driving because it's a big place) there is a pool, laundry, play area all with a great view of the bay. Laundry a very reasonable $1 each for washing or drying, with lots of machines. This is a peaceful family place with friendly office folks and everything you need at a great rate for coastal Maine. Would stay again!

Stayed here when we decided to cross the border ahead of our original plan. Actually in Red Beach south of Calais on route one. Found this online because it is a Passport America location, though we are not members. Very un-level sites on a grassy field, not private. Apparently mostly seasonals down the hill by the water where kids were swimming. Dirty bathroom with graffiti on unpainted press wood walls. Overflowing dumpster. OK for a low cost overnight just to sleep but would choose another place next time.

Good customer service. We called ahead to advise that the ferry from Newfoundland (which is about ten minutes away) was delayed, and the office staff stayed late after 9 p.m. and led us to our site in the dark via golf cart. Got a good Wi-Fi signal right inside the RV, 2 TV channels with our antenna. Sites are mostly on a flat grass field though some overlook the river. Large, clean, well lighted modern bathrooms, showers are 50 cents. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked this park a lot and the location is unbeatable for the ferry, about ten or 15 minutes away. Rate is with a senior discount but bumped back up by the $10 reservation fee. Very nice modern restrooms and showers. Park has waterfront recreation beach areas and is worth a couple of days' stay. We could not get any TV channels on our antenna or a cell phone signal but did get Wi-Fi at a picnic table near the office. Note do not take the Cape Ray exit off the Trans Canada, look for the park sign. However the town is worth a visit to drive out to the lighthouse. This was one of the best parks of the 14 we visited during three weeks on the island and would definitely stay here again.

Friendly greeting in the modern motel office where you can sit for a Wi-Fi signal. Our site was wooded but very un level so we ended up pulling in forward and using blocks. Small washroom a bit of a walk from site but adequate. Many puddles in bumpy road due to rains. Ok for an overnight, and Gander has plenty of services. Don't miss the recently updated Aviation Museum, well worth a visit.

The wonderful view here gets the good rating, but I would like this park much better if there was a restroom and shower up on the hill and Wi-Fi up there too. This is a small gravel lot on a hill with water, electric and sewer, and is located in a cabin rental resort which seemed empty when we were here in high season. A large circle of rocks makes a communal fire pit and there is a great area to sit and enjoy the view. For Wi-Fi, we had to go down the hill to a living room area in the modern office. However, this was locked when we left at 8 a.m. There was no shower for campers but we were told they would unlock one of the cabins on request. (Again, no one in the office in morning when we would have made a request.) The location is good for boat trips to the ecological reserve, but I would look for a different place next time.

A big campground with a lot of loops, roomy and wooded sites set in groups of cul de sacs branching off roads. Weeds could have used some trimming. Bathroom was modern but had a somewhat annoying push button shower system that required constant pushing to keep activated and released a spray mist that wet down everything in the stall. The National Park roads are nice but roads are bad to get down here (and back) from the main highway. The town of Alma near the park has a small market, restaurants, fish market, gas station and a bakery with great sweet rolls. We stayed two nights.

Enjoyed our two night stay at this pleasant park while we visited St. John. Our site #20 was level, quite private and wooded, with fire grate and picnic table. Staff had firewood available for sale. Roomy bathrooms with showers. Campground is up the hill, a bit of a walk down (we drove) to the beach area, which is quite wide with lots of people enjoying it on sunny summer days. Had more mosquitos at this CG than we saw most of the summer. Picked up one channel only: CBC, on our antenna.

This is a different park than the one in Lubec, Maine near Canadian border. Price was with Good Sam discount and includes tax. Older campground with dated restrooms and showers that, though roomy, needed a thorough cleaning. One washer and one dryer only, at $1.50 each per load. Saw several large rigs, a lot of dog walking and we enjoyed chatting with dog owners. There is a nice scenic trail along the water with benches for relaxing. Owner had sign that he could provide cooked lobster, though we didn't use the service.

We stayed here three nights, rate reflects 50 percent senior discount. Our pull through site in the center section needed leveling. Lots of woods though some sites much more private than others. Park loop Explorer Bus stops at the campground, which is handy for transportation into Bar Harbor. Bathroom had been modernized but be warned: has no showers, hot water, soap, paper towels or blow hand dryers. There is a small grocery at Otter Creek and commercial bathhouse near the campground which actually is clean and works fine for showers, $2 for four minutes. Fire rings, wood available in the area for $3 a bundle. No Wi-Fi, no 3G reception in the campground. You can walk down the Ocean Path from Blackwoods for a nice se view. We attended a ranger program one evening in the large amphitheater, entirely aimed at kids, though. We enjoy the National Park experience and the low price, but stayed in a commercial RV park near Bar Harbor when we returned later in the summer.

This is a small modest older park tied to a historic little cabin resort dating to the 1940s. Offers the basics for a stay while visiting nearby town of Trinity. The owners are gems, very friendly and welcoming, based at their little cafe office a short walk along the road from the campsites. There they serve coffee, scoop ice cream, offer hot dogs, etc in a friendly atmosphere where you can sit at a table for a good Wi-Fi signal. Can only handle RV or trailer up to about 26 feet. Bathrooms had toilet, sink shower and there were three...one each of men, women's and handicapped unisex. Felt like we had landed in the 1950s except for the Wi-Fi! Very pleasant stay.

In the city so very useful for visiting St. John's, but expensive and in rather shabby condition. Campground was having a crime wave reported on each night's news TV broadcast while we were here with about 20 thefts from RVs. Restrooms were very old and often dirty and full of bugs. Laundry room dirty with large trash can overflowing. Only one open field had Wi-Fi where big rigs were parked. Young staff, did not have a feeling there was anyone with good management skills in place. Would try to find another place in the future and commute in.

Rate shown includes taxes and res fees. Big campground with woodsy sites. Best A area electric sites are 22, 24, 25, 28, 32, 34 for closeness to the Sound. Hiking trail runs through campground. Modern tile bathrooms in section A with Corian counters. Visitor center and camp store cafe had Wi-Fi, but only about half those attempting seemed to be able to connect, whether using a PC laptop, Apple or iPad, for some unknown reason. Laundry in cafe store building, $2.50 each to wash or dry.

Cash only for site and extras, such as $2 for a shower and $3 for erratic Internet. (And we were close to the office.) Water pressure problems while we were there that affected showers,which are on the lower level of the office behind unmarked French doors, with a dark basement atmosphere. Many hand written signs posted. Our site had a fire ring filled with someone's cast off bottles and trash. In general, park seemed a bit disheveled and I would try to find another place next time.

This was one of the best, if not the best, parks where we stayed, while on the island. Large gravel sites, some by the river apparently for seasonals. Modern, well lighted restrooms with separate shower rooms. Wi-Fi available at entrance office but a very good signal and chairs to sit in. Five or ten minute drive to Irving gas station, Dominion grocery store, liquor store, Wal-Mart, etc. Makes a convenient stop on the east to west drive or vice versa on the Trans Canada Highway.

This small campground owned by the town has a striking view of the sea and wonderful hiking trails and overlooks where fishing boats pass by and icebergs, birds and whales are often spotted. A trail down leads to a rocky beach. It has 9 serviced sites with picnic tables and fire rings. There are laundry facilities, a men's and a women's bathroom, picnic area and small playground. We loved our site here on the Baie Verte Peninsula on the French Shore. Only cash accepted.

Outside of town but convenient to St. Anthony for sightseeing, whale watching boats and groceries...and to the L'Anse Aux Meadows National Park. We were at far back end of campground, a 10 minute walk to the central office building for wifi and washrooms. Some confusion about campsite numbers back there against the treeline where some earth-moving work had been done next to us, apparently for eventual new sites. Washroom was modern but needed more lighting - hard to see in narrow, dark shower stalls. Our cell phone didn't get a signal so owners offered their phone to make a boat reservation. The Wifi signal at the office was weak.

A simple place to park in a gravel lot with two roomy bathrooms, each one with a toilet, sink and shower. Owners are on site. A road runs right in front but it is a quiet town. Not a destination campground with amenities but OK for a night or two if you are headed up the coast.

Rate of $26 plus tax. This park was a good value and close to the Fortress of Louisbourg. We stayed two nights, though did not attend the Beggar's Banquet which does sound like fun. Bathrooms are modern, though seemed to lack ventilation because they steamed up heavily when showers were in use. Sites are gravel with some grass. WiFi could be used in the site which was a plus. It was breezy right on the water. Would probably stay here again.

This is not a bad park but did not meet my perhaps overly high expectations based on the rate and positive reviews. Sites were in open fields with no privacy. We were rather far from the water but were charged a lake view rate. Only the sites up by the road have cable which is not most sites. Laundry was quite expensive. $2.50 to wash one load and $1 for only ten minutes drying time. Showers were clean but very narrow. You would bang your elbows against the walls, and the water temperature was hard to regulate. It jumped from scalding to icy. No toilets or sinks in the room with the showers which was a bit inconvenient. Since there are a lot of campground choices, some lower priced, I would try another park next time. On the plus side, it was convenient to the Alexander Graham Bell museum which was our reason for staying overnight.

Shubie sort of grew on me during the three days we stayed, perhaps because it is different than most campgrounds. It is a bustling, busy place near a very interesting city and with good WiFi right in the site for a change. On arrival, we were given an undesirable site by a chain link fence and playground and asked for a change, which was done without problem. Staff was young but pleasant. Not much privacy between sites and ours needed a lot of leveling. Showers were 50 cents for 3.5 minutes. Just a few minutes drive across the bridge (one Looney) into the city. A large Atlantic Superstore Grocery is not far from the RV park.

This was one of our favorite campgrounds during two months of travel in Maine and Atlantic Canada. Owners are very visible, run a tight ship, and the place is kept very clean and well tended. Woodsy private sites. Great location on the north central coast near a lot of attractions. Clean restrooms and showers and clean laundry room with modern, functioning machines. We got several channels with our antenna. There is a WiFi signal available at the small central clubhouse area. We wanted lobster but not a big heavy dinner (available nearby at the Lobster Supper restaurants), so the owner directed us to the Doiron Fisheries in N. Rustico where we bought two very tasty cooked lobsters for $12 each and brought them back to our campsite for a great dinner. Best lobster of the summer. All in all it was a very relaxing, quiet place that I would recommend without hesitation.

Rate reflects senior discount. This was an interesting spot right on the Bay of Beddeque waterfront with a view far in the distance of the Confederation Bridge. Due to the area's dramatic tidal changes, periodically the water recedes and you have tidal mud flats you can walk way far out on. We had very strong winds the first day, too windy to eat outside, but kept away bugs. Basically though it is a flat grass field campground - some sites very large and others close to each other - none with privacy. Laundry was a bargain $1 per load wash or dry. Nearby town of Summerside has a great Atlantic Superstore Grocery and a Walmart. Wasn't bad for a couple of days.

This is quite a nice Provincial Park with some very wooded back-in sites and other drive-through sites in an open field area. Roomy bathrooms, fairly clean. Hard to make reservations (no online system) except by waiting until May or June to call, however the park was not full so not a problem. You can walk down to the rocky beach with icy cold water, also to the golf course which has a nice small restaurant with an outdoor deck. Staff was pleasant and had firewood available for sale. We picked up a few Maine TV stations on our antenna. No Wi-Fi, but they will direct you to the local library where you can sit outside and get a signal even when it is closed. Park is convenient to Roosevelt home.

Location is excellent close to Route 1, a short drive up Mount Battie for a great view and hiking, or into the charming town of Camden. Sites are mostly set in the woods though some are closer to the road. Our first site assigned was impossible to level, so we asked to switch and the staff was accommodating. Second one not much better but we made it work. Got a few TV stations on our antenna. Cinder block bathrooms had modern corian long sinks. Unisex showers were separate. It's a nice park, very popular. Rate was $35, as shown includes tax and a $2 reservation fee. Would stay here again.

This was one of my favorite parks during a two month trip. Rate reflects a Good Sam discount. Friendly welcome, professional staff, things kept clean, woodsy sites, pretty water and marsh scenery at the foot of the hill. The campground operates a shuttle bus 3X a day into the scenic village of Boothbay Harbor for $2 which we took advantage of (parking in town is pricey and hard to find.) Mainiac Lobster nearby will deliver cooked lobster to your campsite. Laundry was $1.50 per load, wash or dry. Would definitely return.

This (adults only, no kids) park had a nice feel to it and we would stay here again. Friendly welcome, attractive pond with wild ducks. Our small site was on the peninsula looking out toward a nice view of the marsh (we drive a van RV, so easily fit.) Shower stall was a bit small. This park is a good location for visiting Portland and the various lighthouses at Cape Elizabeth.

We stayed here for two nights on arrival into Maine. Our very woodsy site was situated on a road going down a hill and needed leveling. Campground had a rustic feel to it; restrooms had separate toilet and shower areas and had no indoor sinks. Good Wi-Fi and strong antenna signal for TV. Not far from Mount Agamenticus, worth a drive for the view. Close to Flo's famous hot dogs.

We stayed here one night en route heading north and were almost the only people we saw in the open grass rally field part of the park or elsewhere, which seemed odd on a late June weekend. Large bathhouse. Good cable. Wi-Fi did not work at site, AT&T 3G was a weak signal. Would probably not return because of the strange deserted feel to the place.

This was our third stay here. This is a simple, small campground very convenient to I-81. Follow their directional signs in town rather than your GPS to avoid a narrow low bridge. Woodsy setting, but not between campsites. Some sites are right along the creek and a lot of people swim and play in the water. A short walk up to town, typical small Shenandoah Valley village. This stay the restrooms were not as clean as we would prefer and no one was around when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, so we took a site and paid later.

Enjoyed our stay at this friendly, quiet small park just above the top of the Cabot Trail. Owners were well organized and had good input on local whale watching boat nearby which we took and loved. Cold cooked lobster or snow crabs are sold at the office, or fresh shucked oysters. Our site was up the hill in an open grassy area with a wonderful view of the cliff in the distance and bay below. Other sites are wooded. Wi-Fi available at office. There are four private individual shower plus toilet and sink combo units, two each for men and women. Showers at $1 for five minutes appeared quite clean, though I did not use. This park is a good value and I would certainly stay here again, as it makes a good way to break a Cabot Trail tour in half.

Owners have another park north of Inverness in Dunvegan. This one has both cottages and an RV park. Park's strength is the sunset view and location near the Cabot Trail. Bathrooms were quite dated and appeared there is no attempt to paint, freshen, remove rusty hardware. Mirrors only suited for very short people. Roads are not neatly edged; two laundry dryers were out of order; no sidewalk to bathroom building so you must walk through wet grass. Our shared electrical and water post for site 13, required creating a path through quite thick wooded area about 10 or 15 feet, to site 12 next door. Campers walked through our site constantly to access a lumpy tennis court and beach beyond, as they had apparently been advised this was the short cut upon checkin. To walk on the beach, you must slide down a steep sand path, and a wide inlet now cuts between the property and the sea. There is Wi-Fi but only at the office, not at our site. All in all, a poorly laid out and generally unkempt place. Would not stay here again.

This park is justifiably popular so book early. (Six months ahead is earliest, 7 months out for Pinellas County residents.) we booked a waterfront site and loved it. Boaters or kayaks can pull right up to the sea wall by their sites (note, no swimming from campground itself but beaches are in the park.) Tropical foliage separates sites, which are paved with crushed shells and is easily tracked in, so a mat outside is handy. There are two dump stations as you leave the campground. We were there on a spring break weekend so had noisy, unsupervised kids next site over. Will return sometime midweek in winter for quieter atmosphere. Will also bring bikes as the park has trails throughout. We enjoyed visiting the fort and museum. Park rangers run a tight ship in this very busy park. If you plan to go to the beach section on a sunny weekend, head over before mid morning to avoid a long line of day visitors' cars waiting to pay a fee of $5 to enter that section of the park. Your camping fee covers it, but only one road in.

This urban, over-55 park is primarily for seasonal residents in permanent park model type trailers but they do have some narrow short term sites with neighbors close on both sides. Our price represents a AAA discount, and is very reasonable for the location. There are very few choices in this area, but this park works well for us because it is central for visiting family. Unfortunately there is major construction underway on Ulmerton Road in front of the park, noisy at night. Newly renovated pool area gets a lot of use. There are several bathroom-shower combos, and washer-dryers. Management is well-organized and park is well maintained. Will return.
