Nice secure check-in and easy pull-through to our site. All sites are sand and grass. Most sites seems to have plenty of room. The bath houses were a long walk but seemed okay. We stayed here so that we could swim with the manatees in Crystal River. We would definitely come back here again. A secure, clean, full service campground.
The rating of 8 is for what it is: a simple park conveniently located close to I-75. The sites are sand and grass with plenty of room. The staff was very nice and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The men's bath house was recently painted and very clean. The report from the ladies was okay. We went scuba diving at Ginnie Springs, which was about 15-20 minutes away. I would stay here again if we go back diving at the Springs.
This is a nice park with helpful owners. They took me to my site and helped me get to the most level spot. The entry, access and exit to the facilty and site were very good. This park is 4 miles off of the interstate on a narrow road though. The sites go up the side of the mountain. We would stay here again, although I hate KOA's price structure for charging some much for each additional child.
This is a nice park with helpful owners. They were celebrating their 41st year and had a party for it while we were there. There are alot of seasonal sites. They seemed to have a lot of activities planned for all ages. This park is at least 15-20 minutes off of the Interstates in any direction. I would stay here again if I could not get into a park more convenient to the interstate. We stayed here in a motorhome.
Nice convenient Rv Park. The owners were friendly at all times. The roads from Bangor to here are a little rough otherwise the park has good site spacing for parking your motorhome and for not being on top of your neighbor. The pool, bathhouses, and laundry room were clean. The island shuttle is very timely. I recommend hiking to either Echo Lake or Long Pond out of the campground for extra activity. Mostly a family friendly place except for a group of teenagers that came in on Friday night. We would stay here again. We stayed in a motorhome.
This was our second time to visit family in the area and stay at this RV Park. Overall not much change in the past three years. A lot of seasonal guests. Everyone seems to have their own fun without bothering anyone else. The roads become very soft in the rain. One complaint is the roads are narrow, people park sometimes 3-4 cars per site, and that makes it difficult to get an RV through without a lot of help. We will stay here again. Stayed in a motorhome this time.
This is a very accesible park to I-78. The staff was very friendly. I look for a safe, quiet and convenient RV park when I travel and this place is a 10 on all three. The only drawback is the interstate noise level is pretty high. The park entrance was easy, the sites were clean and wide and the exit was easy as well. All other trailers visiting looked well kept. I would stay here again.
Clean and Quiet. Great place to go kayaking. Quiet sites with plenty of room between sites. The sunsets were beautiful. We will definitely come back. The bathhouse was good and I will be interested to see what the update looks like. The only place to find water deep enough to swim in is in the park area where they launch kayaks.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The roads around the loops were not in great shape, but other than that it was a very nice safe park. The coffee and donuts each morning at the pavilion was nice. The WiFi was decent. They could stand to add cable TV.
This a great park 3/4 of a mile off of I-95. We called at 9:00 pm. and the park manager met us when we pulled in to show us a site. He helped me with the hookups and showed me how to get out in the morning. I am not sure about the lake amenities but overall I could not beat the price and convince to I-95.
Great park in the woods near Washington DC. Lot's of room for TT, 5'rs, or MH's. The only drawback is the noise from the shooting range and I-66 nearby. This park should be a great place on a hot summer day with the water park at the campground entrance. The DC Metro is 15 minutes away. There is alot of shopping within minutes for whatever you need. If I was visiting DC from the south or west side of town I would stay here.
Great location if you want to be in the park. The park was very quiet. The office described our site as pull through but it was not. The RV sites with full hook up face the huge maintenance facility for the Cape Breton park. Not the best of views. The hiking nearby was very good. Overall a very peaceful place and we would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed here twice, coming and going from Nova Scotia. Great place for senior citizens. This is an adult park but they accommodated us and our children because we were only staying one night. We arrived after 9:30pm both times and the staff stayed out ready to take us to our site. The sites were good for pull throughs and reasonbly level. The staff was very friendly. Use Dysarts at the interstate for gas at Exit 180. They have full service at the best gas prices we found in Maine.
We stayed here to visit relatives. This campground is best suited for families with TT,pop-ups, or 5th wheels. Out 38 foot MH was a little tight getting in and out. The spots were not the most level and the dirt looked very unsteady should this campground get alot of rain. The staff seemed very concerned about gate security and was otherwise friendly.
The office staff was helpful getting us a reservation on short notice. Unfortunately we arrived while night watchman/check in person was making rounds. We had to wait for 25 minutes to check in. He gave us a rate of $40 instead of the $56 we were originally quoted. Sites we're not the most level. This looks like a good clean park to stay in while you visit DC.
